I am a business owner, who have imported from the USA in the last 2years, but yet to visit.
I have done over about $260 worth of business with a top company there, and do at least $30k with USA every quarter with invoices, AWB and transfer slips to prove. But I will like to visit america and expand my ties with new suppliers and also expand business potential with older ones.
On the side I have 6 stores here, and so have an account that's turns over at least N10M monthly in the last 3-6 months.
I will appreciate all kind answers.

Hello Fellow Nairalanderz.I took your advise and went myself and to my surprise.That is no embassy. Tout is the consulate.Right from outside they run to you and guarantee you visa and even go ahead to tell you if you go inside yourself and do all process they will personally hand over your passport without visa.I was surprised.The SA embassy has allowed Nigerian tout to collect bribes for everything.Well after a two days stress.I finally gave in to one of my Agent in my street.To save me all stress and documents.What a country.I thought i could do it all by myself with legit documents but when i got there.all they want is pay an agent to pay them their commission and get your visa.I should bone the legit documents.We are in Nigeria.I told one of them i just want to go for one week Tour and vacation and nothing more.I love my country.I just needed a rest in SA and be back here but still they said even it is one day.I will still go through the process.I was pissed but what can i do.I want to visit SA and visit some sights and my friends then be back.Well This was my experience.The agent charged #180 000 Hard earned money.To pay #50 000 first and after visa #130 000 to save me all the headache.Well what can i do.I succumb and paid. It should be out in 3 weeks as promised by the agent in my street.He does it always and i had him sign all undertaken too just in case.But why can't someone get visa with ease to our brother country in Africa.Even to Ghana through road.You will pay bribes almost at every boarder.

You will only be making the situation worst if u keep paying those criminals, you keep them in business.

Thanks alot Ife007, i would have loved to take up the challenge BUT since i have had so many bitter arguments here with some dubious/fraudulent individuals, that disqualifies me from the position of a Mod.

They have accused me of deleting, editing their posts to suit my interest. (which i never did), i have received death threat from some individuals here. I'm not bothered about their empty dead threat or accusations but i don't want my personal issues with them to interfer with the moderating job.

That said, there are memebers here that can do a great job as moderator, they are: tigerpaws,  Odunnu and scooby1, any of these memebers will not let the education section down.

My advice to anyone on this forum who has not yet applied for their visa and those that have been refused and want to carry out an administrative review is "Use the services of an Agency"!!! I strongly recommend PFL (Preparation for Life). They will guide you through the process and give you a covering letter which ensures you will be put on the "Student Select Scheme” all this for a moderate fee. They also have a 95% Visa success rate for their clients.My fiancée applied on the 2nd of August and received her Visa on the 12th of August (8 working days); I applied on the 17th of August and I received mine yesterday 1st September (10 working days).What this implies is that even with this summer rush, people who use their services are still getting their visas on time.Rgrds.

Applicants can do it without an agent, alotof pple here have got their visas without any agent. Agent can'not guarantee anybody a visa IF they don't meet the requirements. Many of us NEVER use agent and still get visa after visa.

Normarlly, your school shouldnt have mandated u to pay as much as 2000 pounds for accomodation prior to your arrival (my school only asked for 200pounds pre-payment). This is becuase the ECO may not acknowledge any payment made towards accommodation as part of your maintenance fee. Well, since u dont have much time left, write to your school to reflect the payment u made on your new CAS and go aheah with your application.
As for your acount if the stament u used the last time is not more than a month now, u can use it else,ask your bank to end the statement at the point where your balance was okay. i think the only thing the ECO will enquire about your acct in your bank is the genuiness of the account and your account ballance of that very day they make the enquiries.  I experiencd this when someone stole my ATM and made a withdrawer of 120k in my act the following day i submitted my application. I had to put the 120k back though i was afraid that the money had really goneshort, but I was given my Visa eventually without any hitch. Above all be prayerful and submit the application on time. May God help u.

There is nothing wrong in asking him to pay £2000 for accommodation, schools have different accommodation policy.

Adding ur dady's bank statement can only be a good thing for ur application, don't worry abt his bank balance, he has met all ur financial requirements, nobody expect him to have huge figure in his account after transfering that money into ur account.

All that transactions will be seen in his account as well.

Thanks Justwise, when you said insurance, what kind of insurance are you talking about? Is it travel insurance? Assuming I'm spending two weeks and going with my spouse who is on dependant visa here too, lyk how much will both of us be needing (we've got a joint account). I can also get a invitation letter from my aunt over there, will she have to include her bank statement but i will be the one sponsoring myself, she will only be responsible for accomodation.

Yes travel insurance, since you will be staying 2wks, having 2-3 thousand pounds will be ok. I don't know if ur aunt need to include her bank statement as i don't know how USA IV works but i guess it will add more weight to ur application if she attached her bank statement.
