Femtopsy: I'm sponsoring myself and the CAS documents used for admission, highest qualification only, degree certificate. they only put the details of the certificate on the CAS. If you are sponsoring urself and can support ur soure of income with things like. . .payslip and bank statement, to add to that, will be: ur degree certificate( IF that was the ONLY document u used in getting the admission), some pple do get study-leave letter from their company(If you are not resigning from ur job). Go through the requirements again in their website to know if there is somthing missing. |

Femtopsy: Thanks so much Justwise. I was feeling my application is too scanty or what do you think? In what sense please? |
Travel › Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered by justwise(mod): 6:04pm On Aug 13, 2010 |
Femtopsy: Hello justwise and co, pls tell me if one can apply with just the CAS number without a CAS letter. As it is now the only supporting documents I have is my degree certificate which is the only document stated in the CAS, and my personal bank statement for my maintainance funds. Am I safe? All u need is the CAS number, the school sent the BHC the same email u got from them, if u used only degree certificate to obtain the admission then thats what u need to submit to BHC plus the bank statement. |

faisville: Good morning All! I have a problem.I applied for admission in June and the unconditional offer came out in late july.the program i applied for is suppose to start in the 1st week of september. i was advise to make payment of £3000 before they can send me my CAS letter. i am suppose to pay the money today so that I can wait for my CAS letter for visa application.but the problem is that i cannot be able meet up with the 28 day rule,as relates to bank statement (just got the money today) since i am suppose to be in school by 1st week of september! and besides someone advised that it is already late, now do i stil go ahead and pay the £3000 and tell the school to push my admission to january? I am sooo confused right now.please visa gurus help!! The highlighted part worries me, how can the school give you unconditional off AND asked you to pay £3000 b4 they can send the CAS? Unconditional offer means no condition at all. Please which school is that? If u don't mind me asking. |

thanks a lot justwise, your answer is going to be helpful but if i put in 'yes' that i've paid something for accommodation, i don't have any proof to show for it. isn't it better i just put no? the school is actually having a bit of a problem looking for my £200 deposit right now though they know it has been paid, please advice Ask the school for the reciept of that £200 u deposited for accommodation IF they can't give you then don't panic cos you still have more than £5400 in ur account. |

SAMMYTOPE: @justwise pls i need your help av paid for my school fees fully but i didnt pay anything for my accommondation.pls hope it wont affect my application. No, not paying for accommodation will NOT affect ur visa outcome cos that £5400 is also part of accommodation fees. If you paid for accommodation, the amount u paid will be reduced from the £5400 cos accommodation fees is included in that £5400. So as long as u have that £5400 in ur account, u don't need to worry about not paying for accommodation in advance. |

frenchman: I wish to commend the effort of the members of staff of the high commission based on my recent experience. The service was highly commendable judged by the fact that we have heard several unwholesome reports about how the place was being run. I went for the passport reissue on the 29th of July, and did not spend the whole day as I anticipated. My passport was ready for collection on the 9th of August!! This is phenomenal! Kudos to all the staff!! Totally agree with you, got my e-passport from Nigeria embassy under one week, things have changed there and staff are working very hard to please some difficult Nigerians |

I applied for my visa 2day at the VFS office in IKEJA brimmin with FULL CONFIDENCE thanks to all the lovely advice i have gotten from members of this forum, most especially JUSTWISE, NAT 138 and ALL, just to have my hopes dashed a few minutes ago. Chekd my mail, saw a mail in my spam acct which was sent from RGU, and tho most of the info's dey sent me wer in order, i realised that they have changed d START DATE to 27th of SEPT, and not the 21st as earlier stated in the initial CAS i received, bearin in mind dat they didnt evn send me an ammended copy of the said CAS, and i had 2 send my application without this same CAS!So JUSTWISE and ALL, am i still in order with this recent development? Would they have cause to deny me on the basis that i made a wrong entry in my form regardin the COURSE START DATE wch was previously stated as 21? Pls reply, as i am not hapi at this moment cos of dis, Don't panic yet, nat138 is right, the embassy should have up todate info concerning ur application, change of start date will not affect the outcome of ur visa application. |

gulag: @ justwise and all the people in the houseI would be applying for a student visa but I have several issues 1) I have all the maintenance funds in my fathers fixed deposit ( about 23000 pounds). Are fixed deposits looked down upon in the UK emabassy and have people been rejected for using FD as a source of funds? The fixed deposit expires very soon and there is no penalty on encashing the funds 2) Also since it is not in my name will it be a problem? My father is sponsoring my education and I am over 21 but I would not be providing my own account. My father is of course writing a letter of support that he will be responsible for all my fees. please answer soonest I never heard of any refusal based on fixed deposit. You can use ur dady's account, get the sponsor's letter and attach ur birth certificate to ur visa application. |
