This is wat I did, Paid 60% of my schl fees, my CAS was sent, got my degree cert, O'level cert, transcripts etc(in short all docx dat was used to assess me for the admission), 5400 maintenance plus balance of tuition was in my acct for 30days, downloaded d right forms and filld, and i applied, no hassles, Thank God

Hello justwise. Going through the guidelines, I saw that the maintainance money should be held in the account for a consecutive period of 28 days. What happens if the money has stayed in ones account like in my own case for 3 months. I was earlier refused last month simply because there was no closing balance date on my statement, the ECO stated that he noted that my statement was printed 40 days after I had deposited the maintainance funds but the guideline states closing balance date and not the date the statement is printed. So now that it has stayed for three months, and in other to avoid the same problem i deposited a day before printing the statement so that it will be the closing balance date, i hope they wont say its suppose to be exactly 28 days?

The guideline stated that :personal bank or building society statements, covering a consecutive 28-day period ending no more than one month before the date of your application so 40days was obviously more than a month.

I'm on the fence here justwise When we recently went to Ghana, we had 11 suitcases between the 7 of us. All the checks had been done at Heathrow etc but when we landed at Kotoka Airport, the immigration officer demanded everyone open their bags for checks before we could leave the airport. I mean, whatever for? We'd just landed So hubby bunged the guy some cash and he marked our bags so we were able to get through. We had nothing to hide but the sheer inconvenience of opening up 11 suitcases compiled with a screaming hungry baby and tired kids (6 hours flight and we landed in the morning), it was just the easiest thing to do. Sorry

Yea, its easy to break the law in Africa but u wouldn't dare do that at heathrow airport, u get me? Would ur hubby try that at heathrow airport EVEN when the bags have been searched at Ghana airport?

You start counting from the very day the required amount is deposited.

I don't know of anybody who have used micro finance b4, so i can't really advice you on that.

You don't need to book an appointment, i never heard of VISA4UK before, if you are talking abt agent then count me out and good luck with them

@ Ashiri, you're totaly wrong. Under the Immigratio law and related to HUMAN RIGHT, ''anybody can be ponsored by anybody as long as the ponsor is willing and ready to sponsor the applicant. I got all my different visa with my brother's real estate company account and although the account is foreign account in United States, while i'm a student in Nigeria. So i strongly believe that anybody can be sponsored by anybody.
@ axeman85, i can pre-guarantee your friend's issuance of visa only if all the documents you mentioned is true, then go ahead. But the only bitter truth from what ashiri said is the actual fact, tell your friend to at least include her personal bank statement even if it's 100k that is there then her chance of geeting the visa is there already. Your package is ok and pls tell your friend to support it with prayer. Go and write it down, if she's refused and given an appeal, then their point of refusal migh base on her personal account.

Using company's account is a bad idea, the poster's chances of getting a visa with that company's account is pretty low

Justwise how are you doing,i live in Stockton,close to middlesbrough,i am looking forward to moving to leeds,manchester, edinbrough or london,please i need your advice on leeds and its job prospect, there is not much going on in stockton or middlesbrough,they are just both small town with lots of lack.

I see Leeds as London of Yorshire, there are more job opportunities there compared to other yorkshire cities, Manchester is another big city bigger than Leeds (i think) i never lived there b4 but the cost of living will not be too high. I don't know much about edinbrough but if i were u, i will narrow my search to Leeds and Manchester.

Its not necessary, all u need is the number, somewhere in the application form u will be asked to fill-in the CAS.

i have money both in my personal acct and a fixed deposit under my name, will the fd have a separate letter? while that in the personal acct have bank statements?

secondly, my CAS talks of only my degree certificate, whereas i also sent them my waec certificates. do i still submit only the degree cert? or all qualifications used

If both accounts are under the same bank then u don't need separate letter. For ur CAS issue, submit all the qualification u submitted to the school, meaning WAEC and degree certificate

It depends on when u school is starting this Sept, some are starting new semester on the 20th of Sept, if u are lucky ur visa may come out b4 month end BUT ask ur school for 2wks extention while u wait for the outcome of the visa.

@ kadman, stop discouring this man, How is cheaper in connection with either your relative/family friend. I'm talking about direct house rent from the Estate Agent' it's totaly cheap in BRADFORD. Either you finished your masters or masters it's non of my business, that's proudness in you that clearly appeared to everyone here, The bitter truth is: Let the guy try to visit BRADFORD to confirm first and if he's not satisfied then he can wecome your idea too. Sorry i have to agree with kadman Bradford is pakistan simple, i know Bradford far too well, moving from Bradford to Leeds is like moving from pakistan to England. Jobs? Where did u see decent job in bradford? Rent is low only in those dodgy areas. Bradford is only good for a starter but if you want to move to England then say bye bye to Bradford.

hello, people in the house actually i have read the whole thread but please i need your help actually i have filled the vaf9 and the tier4 general student form i have my cas,reciept of 2000pounds deposit i made to the school e.t.c. but the problem is that i work in my aunts company meanin she actually owns the company and she is the one sponsoring me.i have have the companys bank statements,article of memorandum,tax clearance,certificate of incorporation,sponsor letter from her and also from the company,court sworn affidavit declaring she is my aunt.but we bear different surname want to ask if i stand a chance at all in getting the visa with all these.thank you.

Two things that will count against you in your application are: Using your aunty's company's account, the money in that company's account is for the runing of the company, your aunty will not close her company and give you the money to study abroad.

The second thing is: U don't bear the same family name with your aunty, you need to think long and hard abt these issues.

I didn't forged any document. This was the reason they gave me for the denial.
I quote "The Degree Certificate could not be verified and the evidence of previous earnings submitted do not corroborate the claimed earning and it therefore refused.

You may stand a good chance IF you address the issues they raised for refusing ur visa previously.

If you are self employed then get ur tax clearnance sorted out. Its pretty clear now what u need to do to stand a chance of getting a visa

It depends on the reasons why u were refused Tier 1 General (Work Permit), if you had forged any document then ur current application maybe affected.
