TheWitchKing: So here is what , i crosschecked the website, and some videos, and i saw that i need to first create an application on udi.no, once i fill and pay the application fee, i take the remainder docs to VFS to submit together with my passport. Is there something i missed from here?
Again, The site is showing me I have Limited Access (udi.no) is there someplace else i should send in my application? Yes that is the process |

TheWitchKing: Hiya people.
So i want to apply to Iceland, and i been looking for information to submit my visa application, I was told that the Embassy representing Iceland here in Nigeria is for Norway. So now i am stuck. How do I start the process, The lady answering for the helpdesk for Norway seems to have a heartbreak and is answering like a very stupid person, Not even giving the correct and complete information, Just said i go on VFS and select Norway and i would be redirected to the website to fill and pay the fees then come and schedule , what am i scheduling, she hung up the phone.
I am very tired. You cannot go to VFS office in Lekki to make enquiry, you cannot call on Phone and someone answers you like someone with her head. Who even send me sef make i call this woman this morning. Anyone with very detailed information on how to apply for Norway? Please let me know. Do what she asked you to do https://www.norway.no/en/nigeria/services-info/visitors-visa-res-permit/#ChecklistforapplicantsfromNigeria |

Perryshow: Good morning House I have been a silent follower since May. The UK visa application wait is tiring and exhausting as my case get as e be. I was banned since 2009 for deception and I applied for study visa since November 22, I received empty NSF since 29th of November for my spouse and Daughter too. Could it be the ban that makes the wait this long ? I have developed HBP just because of this. Guys I just need some sort of encouragement to know if any one who has gotten visa , even 15 years after the 10 years ban. Did you declare the ban in your visa application and your school during CAS application? |

SoftSport: While it is true that owing money to loan sharks does not automatically disqualify someone from obtaining a visa, the situation is more nuanced. Visa approval depends on factors such as financial stability, proof of ties to one's home country, and the applicant's likelihood to abide by visa conditions. If significant debt to loan sharks raises concerns about financial desperation or the risk of overstaying, it could indirectly influence the decision.
Additionally, embassies may review an applicant's overall financial situation to determine their credibility and ability to fund their stay. While loan shark debt is not explicitly listed as a disqualifying factor, its impact on an individual's financial standing could still come into play during the assessment process. Who will send the applicants financial report to the embassy? The bank or the loan shark agent? |

SoftSport: Give clear reasons why the statement isn't true. You will not be denied a visa simply because you owe some loan sharks some money. All you wrote above is just an assumption and not factual |

I'm only asking if it's possible to be paying all these for a working visa been processed by the company or individual you're going to work for? So her siblings are scamming her? If the company is processing it for her then they will not be asking her for money as they will pick up the cost. |

Brimstone77: Hello guys please I need an urgent help.
A friend of mine applied for a working visa to Kuwait, she's going to work as a hair dresser.
Few days ago she got a call that her visa is out, today she's telling me that they are requesting for 1.5 million frcfa which equivalent to 3milion + naira, she's said they said money will be used to settle the agent that processed her visa and for her flight, I think the company she's going to work for will foot all her traveling expenses?
She's also told me that they had initially paid 1.5milion frca for the same visa..
Please is this genuine or she's been scammed or about to be scammed..
They have sent her the picture of the visa. Your friend has a lot of money to waste, her eyes will only open after they clean her up. Nigerian never learn |

SoftSport: Unpaid loans can indeed affect visa approvals in certain cases, depending on the country and the type of visa being sought. Here’s why:
Financial Responsibility: Some countries, like the US, Canada, and the UK, assess financial stability when granting visas, especially for student, work, or visitor visas. Significant unpaid debts may signal financial irresponsibility or an inability to sustain oneself abroad, which could lead to visa denial.
Credit Reports in Visa Applications: For specific visas (e.g., investor or employment-based visas), consulates may review financial documents, including credit reports. Unresolved loans, particularly if they have led to legal action, can raise concerns about the applicant’s character or reliability.
Overstaying Concerns: If debts suggest financial instability, it may raise suspicions that the applicant could overstay or work illegally to repay loans.
Legal Issues from Defaults: In cases where unpaid loans have escalated to legal disputes, judgments or penalties may be flagged in background checks, leading to visa complications.
Each country evaluates applicants differently, but maintaining clean financial records enhances the likelihood of visa approval. It’s always advisable to resolve such issues before applying. That is not true. |

Cuteandkind: Greetings everyone!
This is to appreciate everyone who contributed their opinion and advise during my decision stage. Some people have emailed me to know how the whole journey turned out. It is also wise that I give update on how it went.
Goodnews is that I have relocated and settled in UK now, and here is the story.
I accepted the offer in Brighton. We were still at processing stage of the job offer, while waiting for my NMC pin. Yes I passed my OSCE!
So I needed to get NMCN verification letter to be able to process my NMC pin, that was when I discovered that NMCN verification portal was shut. I could not verify. My pin was delayed. My employer could not proceed with the job processing. They got tired and cancelled the offer.
I was frustrated like most Nigerian nurses then due to the NMCN verification wahala.
But I kept faith on. I began to apply for jobs again. And after some months, I got another offer, a better offer than the first one. Thankfully, the NMCN lifted ban on license verification. I was able to verify my license, and proceed with getting my NMC pin.
The Trust (employer) sent me the necessary documents, including the almighty COS with which I applied for my visa.
In 7 days after my biometrics in Lagos, I got email that my visa (and that of my husband) have been approved.
We are happily settled here now and God has been so kind!
Thank you all. Congrat and thanks for the feedback. |

Cyberknight: I want Labour to deal with this social care staffing issue once and for all (not going to happen, I know). They should try offering care workers good pay commensurate with the job and then see how many Brits languishing on the benefits rolls would be happy to get out of bed to take up the jobs. Then they'll truly have a chance to spike Reform's guns once and for all, otherwise try to stop their inexorable march to power in 2029.
I'd prefer the UK not to have these high levels of unskilled immigration because it simply gives the Faragists all the more ammunition to fight with. And ultimately, when they do get into power, they'll take it as a licence to be as nasty as they want to be, which'll end up taking us to a different level akin to US-style polarisation and all it brings. Don't put your money on that, benefit money comes tax-free and without them leaving the house. Very few will be in a hurry to pick up any job that pays little above what they get from the benefit system without doing jack. |
