Zahra29: I didn't watch the entire session but saw that clip. I had hoped that she would focus on the budget instead of Lammy's comment - it's not helpful to our "special relationship" with the US lol, plus said comment was made over 7 years ago. But I guess the temptation to score political points was too strong.
I think Trump will be fine though. Tucker Carson said much worse about Trump in leaked files and all seems to have been forgiven. Apparently Trump even offered Lammy seconds when Lammy and Starmer had dinner with Trump recently 👀😂 His VP called him Hitler and still got picked as a VP, so Lammy will be forgiven |

Now, let's go and attend to the banter that pays the bills, mate That means no sense and you know it, is US funding Russia? So going by your logic Ukrian should stop depending their country then Russia will leave? That makes sense to you? |

jedisco: She was always the favourite. Alot of recent events including Rishi's premiership helped pave the way. Takes nothing from her brilliance, eloquence and carriage but she sure did pander to her core demography. Now, she has arrived, I hope her premiership is not characterised by talking down on Nigerians cos her own party wouldn't waste time to devour her if the opportunity presents.
As said earlier, the dilema with trailblazers like her is that she could very well be a mouth piece for the most vile cohort of the thier party. She could say things that even Farage would struggle with voicing and people would find it hard to criticise her as she's 'black and immigran t'. I saw her dress down an MP from NI speaking against the narrative around migrants and theblady was in shock. She was not expecting it. So on point! |

Butler quickly removed the repost though, she must have remembered that she is no longer serving under Corbyn.
Well done to Starmer and other Labour MPs for congratulating Kemi on becoming the first black leader of a Westminster party. Another surprise…when I said in my previous post that very soon she will come under attack I wasn’t expecting it to come within the “colour “. The post Butler reposted originally came from a London based Nigerian journalist. I must admit though that I’m not a fan of Kemi but I respect her achievements |

Goke7: She was hitting all the right spots to her target audience and saying all they needed to hear. From her acceptance speech reaching out to the reform party or working with them may be her next step and she has enough sweet stories they will also like to hear. Interesting times ahead. She understood the assignment from day one, she knew exactly what to say to get attention from certain section of the party and so far it worked. |

Zahra29: Hear hear 🎉
I don't know if Kemi will still be leader by the next GE or even by next year lol - you know how ruthless the Tory party is. Still, you have to celebrate the wins and this is a massive accomplishment for a black woman who only became an MP in 2017 - especially when heavy weights such as Duncan Smith, Jeremy Hunt etc tried and failed on more than one occasion to become Tory leader.(And she won very comfortably as well)
Did you see Jenrick's wife's face though? Bless, she couldn't hide her upset. Kemi's husband on the other hand almost jumped out of his chair 😂 Well..she will enjoy the moment while it last, yes all eyes on her now, more not-so-nice things will be written about her now. lol maybe she forgot that the cam is on her, i feel her pain though as her husband was beaten by a black woman lol |
