bluntjudge: Please I need clarification. Someone that got spouse visa recently is confused that the validity says from 02/11/2024 to 31/01/2025. That's barely 3 months validity. The plan is to go join the spouse over there..
Please is this normal? I think you need to register online for e-visa within that period as the HO is going paperless as regards to biometric card. research that for more info |

profemebee: Thanks for the quick response.
The screenshot in my original post has the period the gross salary was earned, and it is gotten from ILR application.. that's why i'm worried
Also, she had a payslip verification letter in the FLR M application we did last time, and so thought we should get it again to confirm the payslips are genuine Recently i made ILR application for a family member and the letter from the employer was as i described in my last post and the payslip was submitted just like that without any verification, HO can do the verification if there is a doubt. |

profemebee: hi everyone,
One of the requests from UK Home Office for ILR in the Employment letter from employer is for the employer to confirm the current gross annual salary and the "period this gross annual salary" began
My wife's employer has refused to add this "period this gross annual salary" in the letter, as they just confirmed her gross annual salary, and her job title and that her role is permanent.
What do i do? Does this affect anything?
She is the British citizen and i have always used her documents when applying for the initial spousal visa and the FLR M spousal visa extension ..
Her employer also refused to verify her payslips but this isn't on the official documents requests from UK Home Office.. i'm just focused on her employer adding the "period this gross annual salary" began
I highlighted the requirement in the attached screenshot which is for the Employment evidence for Spouse/Sponsor The most important thing in that employment letter is to confirm if your wife is a full time employee, when she started working with the company till current date and her annual salary, that is all. What do you mean by verifying the payslip? |

What I would say is you tell Seun to update the nairaland rules to capture that… other than that, there’s no rule broken here It matters else your opinion on this does not matter. Rules are made for human beings and not animals. If you think that your mum and sisters are physically weak and dangerous then that is your personal opinion, i don't share that with you. |

Omoawoke: 2. Don't abuse, bully, deliberately insult/provoke, fight, or wish harm to Nairaland members OR THEIR TRIBES.
I believe you were an Mod,
How can we complain of not having a good justice system in the country when even the nairaland justice is based on your personal sentiments..
Tell me how he insulted anybody’s tribe or any nairaland members? If you want to update nairaland rules, then go ahead and do so!
Mods act on their sentiments rather than facing facts.
This is the same attitude that translates to the society where people act without order and unleash jungle justice. This is total misuse of power Help me understand your problem here, you did not understand the rule you quoted or you think that calling the whole female gender physically weak and dangerous is not an insult? Do you think that your mum and sisters are physically weak and dangerous? |

Zamorano14: Yes the school admission team has been mailed for clarity. Insurance fee is not mandatory though, but that registration fee is what’s shocking. And yes I chose University of hull London campus because they accept HND holders I will strongly recommend that you look for another university that will accept HND , you will definitely find one, and I will also encourage you to look for school outside London unless you are loaded financially, London is very expensive city. Again I repeat this.. there is nothing like registration fees and insurance when it comes to the UK admission. The IHS fee you will pay during your visa application is your insurance and it covers you throughout your stay in the UK. Do not allow any agent to defraud you. |

It’s more embarrassing for her given Trump has also been Trump. She’s meant to be the “skilled prosecutor” with years of experience. She should have built from her debate performance and be killing it by now. Instead her campaign is imploding. So much so Obama is so desperate to try and recover lost ground with his outrageous comments. Lol...are you serious about that comment? Can Trump put two coherent sentences together? diamond68: Now it's no secret among Nigerians living in the UK that the hardest time you will get in the UK will be from a fellow Nigerian. They bone you on the street, look at you in anger, you greet them they don't greet back, you work with them they try to get you fired, they see you in a train and don't want to sit next to you etc etc. It's very fascinating to observe this behaviour . So why does this happen ?
It's very important to understand that the landmAss called Nigeria is just a geographic location like everywhere else on the planet. If you evicted all 200 million Nigerians from that location and filled it up with whites or Chinese, in under 50 years Nigeria will be transformed to a first world paradise and the whole world would want to japa into Nigeria because imagine a first world country that's blessed with that much resources and it's managed well ? It would be the ultimate pAradise on earth. Nigeria has the potential to be the ultimate pAradise on earth . So it's not the country that's the problem, it's the people.
When someone japas out of Nigeria he is running away from the people not the country. And when he sees the same people in the UK he tried to run away from them. He tries to japa from them. He does not want to associate with them. It's the same people he japA from in Africa. In his mind he associates these people with corruption and violence and brashness and mismanagement and stealing and incompetence. So the Nigerian tries to japa from the Nigerian everywhere he sees him outside of Nigeria
Seun Nlfpmod Mynd44 Most, not all Nigerians, i have experienced both good and bad attributes, some Nigerians ladies especially are not friendly, they related to other nationalities than their Nigerian brothers. A senior manager((A Nigerian lady) in a place i work turned her nose down on me, i mean i say hello with smile to her and she will keep a straight face, then i stopped greeting her completely till the day she left the company. This is common among those chasing papers and freeloads , so if a brother can not offer any of that then you are not useful to them. |

On my Post Study Plans, I plan to return back to my current company which is a Building Materials Importation and Distribution Company and also a family business. We plan to create a subsidiary that'll branch into the Finance sector and I'll be at the head of this.
Does returning back to head the establishment of a family business subsidiary make sense to tell the VO. 1. What course are you going to study? 2. How much is your school fees 3. Who is your sponsor? |

My school is Nottingham Trent uni Nursing January intake. I am yet to submit a portfolio and attend the interview. How long do you think the whole process would take? I plan to submit the portfolio by Monday or Tuesday. Can I still meet up with January intake? Anyidea how long it takes to issue CAS? After CAS has been issued, how long would it take to get date for biometrics and thumbprint? What would delay me if I were to start this process I would really appreciate your support and guidance here because I feel really impatient and tensed.
Anybody here experienced such?
@debbieeeeeee and all I don't know how fast your university issue CAS, some can be as fast as 24hrs while some take longer, if you get your CAS before first week of next month and apply for visa immediately then you are likely to get the visa by Dec if your application is straightforward |

How many students do you think are able to do that in the current situation? Keep kidding yourself and get over here, you will learn the hard way. |

lightnlife: Good evening,
Has anyone renewed his/her UK visa on an expired Nigerian passport?
I might be wrong on this but I presume one's passport validity doesn't matter when renewing within the UK. Also because a BRP was previously issued and people don't necessarily change nationality per year, I reckon HM would have one's original details.
Just curious to see if anyone has renewed a UK visa within the UK on their expired Naija passport.
PS: Trying to save money, time and effort with renewing passportS. Ighatago A family member recently applied for ILR with expired Nigerian passport and it was successful though I submitted NIN card as part of the application. |
