The turning point was when I went to my Church in London, tendered my Tithe Account Number and asked to inspect my Tithe records in Jan 1999 and it quickly degenerated into the junior pastor on duty calling the Met Police and asking them to arrest me because I was disturbing them and the cops told him they could not arrest me because I had done nothing wrong.

To be fair, I phoned the cops first asking them to come and investigate fraud when the church refused to show me my Tithe records despite my showing them my Tithe account number - a procedure instituted by the GO of the church to prove that the church operated with financial probity but when push came to shove and a church member had the audacity to come and ask to be shown his tithe records as allowed by Daddy GO, the story changed and I was not shown my Tithe records.

My aim was to compare any Tithe records they showed me to the diligent records I kept for myself but they refused to show me the tithe records they professed to be keeping for every church member with an attendant supposedly unique Tithe account number issued to everyone.

When I phoned the police to come and investigate fraud in the church, they told me I should instead call the serious fraud office and it was after this that the junior pastor on duty called the cops who refused to arrest me and they told him I had done nothing wrong.

I then asked the police if I could stay in my car opposite the church entrance and wait for Daddy GO to arrive as I wanted to ask him a few questions but the police said no and I just drove to the nearest pub and ordered 2 pints of Guinness and broke my 5 year alcohol fast.

Since Jan 1999, I no dey go any church again as the veil dropped from my face and the scales fell from my eyes in Jan 1999.
This is the most gangster way of leaving a church, i did it quietly after telling few family members my reasons for stopping anything organised religious activity, they understood my reasons but still think i should keep attending church services.

the minute they leave, another man will be fukcing your wife abroad.... and soon enough, probably raising your child too. if you want to give your children a better life, send them to some international boarding school, but as far as your wifey is concerned, when she goes by herself in a foreign country, she is GONE!!!!

you dont even have to send your wife abroad... send her to Lagos/Abuja by herself while you stay in the east (for example), and see how long it will take before boredom/konji/new city vibe with new friends sends her into another man's bed!

Yes I saw that but my statement stands.
Firstly found out the cost of child care in any developed country then come back here to do recalculation

Ok, I’ve heard all those stories but my wife is not like that. I know what am saying. Besides it’s just for a while till she finds her feet. And I’ll join them later.
Believe me or not but you are about to start something you can’t finish.

That 12M or 14M you have will not last more a year or less in any developed country. Nanny alone will take that money within the first 3months or less. You will put your marriage and family life in danger.

Let me be blunt here… you can not afford this.

Good morning NL family. I just registered this new account to seek your advice. I am a married man with a 16 months old daughter, I want to relocate my wife and kid abroad while I stay back to continue my business. I have 12m cash right now which I can raise to 14m if necessary. I don’t believe in selling properties to relocate and I can support my family with at least $1500 every month until they’re able to settle fully. I need advice and suggestions on countries and best routes, considering my little baby. I really want them to leave this year, there’s no hope for my kids in this our country. Please help me.
You want to send your wife and baby abroad while you stay in Nigeria sending them money? How much do you care about this marriage and your mental health?

It's a tricky one, only the employer checking service can bail him out, if the employer checking service indicates he has a valid ILR application then he's good. But if not he can't continue in the job. I have a friend who was asked to leave his job when the employer checking service failed, meanwhile, he had a pending ILR application that was just getting to the final stage of approval, just between a concise time frame from when the employer checking failed to when he finally got his ILR approval he was asked to leave. He was only asked to return when they saw evidence of his ILR approval, meanwhile, the employer is a reputable public university.

Reason I have warned some pages back that a looming crisis is brewing next year when Brps will finally expire by December. Everyone should please endeavour to have their e-visa stuff sorted out now.
I think this might explained why they removed all his shifts because after he sent them the letter from HO within days his shifts were removed.

The link Cyberknight dropped actually explianed why his company acted that way.

How does this share code thing work? A family friend has been working with a care company since 2019 on spouse visa, renewed the visa twice and two months ago he applied for ILR and two weeks ago his company contacted him requesting for his share code as his visa has expired, he replied to inform them that he doesn’t have one and never worked with one, he sent them letter from HO indicating that he has applied for ILR.

The company did not get back to him but last week as he was getting ready to leave for work he saw a message from the work group platform that changes have been made to his shift, he checked and noticed that they have removed all his shifts.

He called them to find out and was told that it was because of the share code issue.

Does he have a case against this company?

Hello All,

I am faced with an issue and will require advise on this. I have been trying to get married through UK registry via the council to a British citizen since May this year. Because an immigrant is involved, our marriage notice application had to be reviewed by the Home Office. Hoe Office replied saying they will increase the notice from the usual 28 days to 70 days to investigate if its a sham marriage.

They requested a couple of documents such as 6 months bank accounts and credit card statement for the interview which i mostly had all my bank accounts printed but only went with my active credit card statement (I had others but rarely used it). Unknowingly to me they already did a search and discovered i didnt submit the inactive credit card statement. Thus because of this we were issued a non-compliance document and were told to start over again.

We started process for the 2nd marriage notice interview on August 1st but was yet issued another document requesting a 70 days investigation time ending October 10th. We are going to Nigeria for traditional and church wedding in September. The issue now is my PSW ends December 31st. Thus, i am thinking if it will not be seen to be dodgy going for a Nigerian court wedding for a marriage certificate whilst they might have the data information that i have earlier applied to a UK registry for court wedding which underwent investigation.

Thought of this considering, i will need the marriage certificate to apply for a Spousal visa and will need to apply or get a reply for the Spousal visa before December as my supervisor at work seldom ask about next plan considering they're unwilling to sponsor back office staff.

Will appreciate your comments

@zahra29 @justwise
I suggest you stay back and see this through here, you people can always travel to Nigeria after getting your spouse visa from the UK. to do the white wedding

Applying for spouse visa from the UK is cheaper compared to what it will cost you doing it from Nigeria and document verification is much much quicker and straightforward here than Nigeria.

It could also be that her visa has already expired, and using a cloned SIA licence was the easiest way for her to get work. I don't expect anyone with a valid visa that allows them to work will stoop as low as forging SIA licence. There are many companies offering free training and licence after you get employed by them. G4S is one. I worked for them briefly back in the day whilst I was at uni in 2010. They trained us in-house and paid for our hotel, food and SIA licence application.
I think you are not far from the truth with this, i really can not get my head around this, SIA is not that terribly expensive if she wants to pick up the cost of getting one.

Good evening everyone!
If one was denied an f-1 visa because he filled his brother's details in his ds-160 who is a US citizen that resides in the US as his sponsor who would also provide room and boarding for him to reduce his cost of attendance.
In reapplying again if one decided to entirely remove his details as sponsor and fill in someone else who resides in Nigeria and claim not to have a brother in the US will they notice the changes?
Don’t bother proceeding with this application, you will be refused and possibly banned . This is an insane misrepresentation

If i had my way, I would have placed her on some form of financial safeguarding.....
I share your pain, my late mum was like that, when she died and i traveled to Nigeria for her burial, before i got to the village my elder sister and brothers have gone through her stuff, they found a lot of receipts from the church of things she paid for even when she wasn't attending church because of ill-health but she was still paying for all sorts of things.

The church still send us list of things to bring so as to officiate her burial. I was livid honestly and told my elder brothers to ignore them but they refused because that is how things are done.

A lot of these UK Nigerian Pastors are lying charlatans and they are so lazy to go and work hard for their own money that they depend on the multiplier effect of tithes, offerings paid in pounds and also claim the extra gift aid from the tax man as 25% of any tithes their member pays them.

When I was still going to church in the UK, i remember contributing to a fund to buy a car for a so called pastor who later went to prison after being charged with two counts of sexual assault involving two male youths, one of whom was a boy under 16 years of age. The so called pastor pleaded guilty and confessed that he had been battling with his sexuality for many years. He was sentenced in the UK to eight months in prison and placed on the UK sex offenders' register for five years.

Thank God I stopped all forms of congregational religion in 1999.

ALL Pentecostal church Pastors play a game on their women members by preaching that they worship their wives and spoil them silly with holidays, money and luxury gifts. They also tell their women members rose tinted "stories" of how they will bend over backwards to please their wives in anything and how all men should do the same for their wives. This has the effect of softening up these women members who open their wallets and become die hard defenders and funders of these guymen pastors affluent lifestyles.

I heard of a UK pastor who finished paying off his mortgage way before the 25 year term and another one preached that when his son was at Uni in a different city to where he lived in the UK, he bought a house close to the sons uni for him to live so that he will not have to suffer and at that time I was a trainee accountant cum mini cab driver who was still gullibly paying tithe from mini cab earnings and struggling while studying and trying to support a young family.

So, it was OK for me to suffer as a student but the "so called" pastors son was not cut out to suffer as a student huh? The same pastor has installed his wife and latterly the said son as the leader of the church in the UK even though the son lives in Nigeria. Family affair.

Thank God I stopped going to any church in 1999.

Jeremiah 6:13 :- From the least to the greatest, their lives are ruled by greed. From prophets to priests, they are all frauds.
lol you stopped since 1999? What was the turning point for you?

I was disappointed with myself that I didn’t stop earlier, I did not listen to my inner self for years as I go through experiences in Nigerian churches here. This is my personal experience as the journey is personal, some other people in my family have different views but they still go to church because it’s natural to do that from childhood. I could not reconcile the reality with what is happening in the church.

I saw a video of a Nigerian pastor boasting how he brought his 3rd private jet during COVID and that he didn’t want COVID to end and church members are clapping for him.

Depends on the Lender actually. Some will shorten it, others will reduce your subsequent monthly repayments, many others will do nothing till your contract expires. Again, some lenders give you the option.
Ok thanks, will give it a go though and see how it turns out.
