For my first FLR M application, my English test was at a B1 level (GESE Grade 5 by Trinity College), I'd like to know if I need to sit another English test for the application extension or is my test result still valid for this new application.

Secondly, for my extension, do I have to pay Health surcharge. I'm not particularly sure if I have to or not.

Please kindly assist me on how to recover the excess charge I paid for IHS, I have used paid mail and I am yet to get refund. I paid USD2616 for my dependant instead of about USD 1046 , but later paid the actual amount for 1 year. They used the later amount to process her IHS but hasn't refunded me.

Thanks Justwise, I was able to open a Monzo account for him. However, I doubt if visitors are allowed to open account in the uk and also if home office would expect a visitor to leave such an amount in his UK account and travel back to Nigeria.

Please house, my dad is currently in the uk for visit. I'm thinking of opening an account for him here in the uk and put money in the account so that my younger brother can use him as his sponsor for his student visa application. We fixed money in my younger brother account last year and as a result of the volatility in exchange rate the money is worthless and has been spent as well. The money for his travelling is currently in £ and I'm seriously concerned changing the money to naira to fix in his personal account in Nigeria. Please any suggestions to resolve this issue would be appreciated.

Can my uncle use my address for his UK visit visa even though he will not be staying with me when he comes? He will be staying in a hotel during his stay. But he doesn't want to book yet and is hoping he can use my address just for the application. He is sponsoring himself and shouldn't have a problem proving his financial capabilities. We only need to find out if using my address can work. By the way, I stay in a two-bedroom flat with a friend, and I am on a Graduate Visa with almost 2 years of validity.

Pls I need you guyz full opinion abt my jnr brothers admission letter which was given to him by Russia education center after applying for a full funded scholarship last month.

I just came back from work today my jnr brother was just showing me his admission letter given to him by Russia education centre after applying for a full funded scholarship.

I was just going through the admission letter only to find out that the admission offer requires him to pay a certain amount of first tuition fees before he gets the full scholarship offer, I wasn't comfortable with such admission letter and also the citieria on the offer letter.
My suspicion started telling me that this might be a scam from a Russia personnel. Or group of people.
However, upon my research from countries with the highest scammers in the whole world, Russia has always been on top 5 list..

Pls my dear brothers and sisters 🙏 kindly give me a good suggestion on how to go through this process, becos I intend visiting Russia embassy in lagos to verify this offer.

Pls note that i will be dropping the below pictures of the admission letter and also emails that was sent to him regarding his admission..

1) The fee of 18k per year that means it would be 18k x2 for the two years?
2) If Yes am I going to show POF for 36k or 18k

I just concluded my study and my graduation is in January 2025. I am planning on applying a visit visa for my younger sister to enable her attend my graduation party.

She finished her undergraduate degree in the year 2022 and also pass out Nysc July 2023. She’s doing nothing at the moment but myself and my brothers do send her stipend from time to time.

I would like to know what sort of documents do I need to show from my end and from her end in order to apply for visa for her she is 25yrs old.

As per your family working for oil company for the past 20yrs. Oil company or oil servicing company get levels. A driver working with an oil company don't get the same benefits as a health worker or an engineer. Even engineers get levels.
But as a health worker, all I said applied to her.

A nurse in an oil company has loads of untapped possibilities outside Nigeria courtesy of the oil company. She is better of with the oil company.

How much is nhs offering her?
Depending on the department, she might not start off well. And cos it's a contract, she will stay in that department for 5 yrs b4 thinking of changing.
Also,nhs always look for nurses that will work in units where home nurses run away from cos of pin problems and court cases. As a jjc, she don't know the system and the bottlenecks therein. Most start off and end up with private companies or agencies. E get why.
Unless there is no offer like what she had, she can go for nhs.
Working in oil company, she also has access to free medicals for all her house members invluding servants as long as they are registered under her and free schools for her kids. The kids can school anywhere in the world courtesy of the help and connections of the oil company for tertiary education. She wanna relocate her family,she will be helped from buying house to settling down for her family
She want to work in Canada or wherever tomorrow, it's easy. And she is sure of promotion.
You can be in band 5 for10 yrs receiving peanuts.
Nigeria is bad yet loads of people are still surviving there.

I can see that many people here do not actually know what one gains while working with major oil companies in Nigeria.
