@Justwise, Ekpotek, FPL sirs and the house; Mum is renewing her UK visa and I'm helping fill out her form and need info on a section (the form is quite different now from what I used to know years ago). She has an invite from her sister whom she's visiting for about 9 days before heading to the US from there, and she will be staying at her place. How do I monetize the free contribution to her trip by her sister in form of feeding and accommodation? Or that is not necessary? Trip is totally on mum financially.... Thanks please!

You can't monetise that, just submit evidence of accommodation and other documents from her host

Can you list the cost of this trip for a family of 3? Maybe that will give you an idea about what I'm talking about.

Pension fund is a future investment and not something you can withdraw immediately for family need.

Purpose of visit first, If it is for Pleasure.... No need for invitation Letter.

If you have someone inviting you, You need an invitation letter.

Start with the basics, but have a strong fronting, not flimsy reasons to travel.

For the English language, I did not use NARIC for my first spouse visa application, I submitted my Nigerian University certificate and a letter from the school stating the course was taught in English. This was 2015. Now I am about to apply for FLR (M) this month, I can't seem to decide if I should do same or jejely get the NARIC letter.

Ok, i know in the past people did exactly that but some also talked about writing the IELTS UKVI test.

@Justwise, someone did use the local registry certificate on the forum. I can remember that we discussed while i was raising the issue of the court case. And as far as i can remember, the application came out successful because the person quoted our discussion on it but she had already applied then. I will try to check through the thread.

Yes i remembered that but her marriage certificate was issued before the Fed govt won the case.

I want to ask this question regarding two aspect of requirements:

Prove of English language and court marriage certificate

1.Has anybody gotten a spouse visa with just Nigerian degree certificate without UK NARIC valuation letter? I know we debated this some yrs ago but i can't find current update on this.

2.Local registry marriage certificate..any successful application with local registry certificate? I know the Fed govt won the case but i don't know if the British embassy has implemented the policy.

Your budget is reasonable and those documents are good. You don't have to include your company's email address, physical address and phone number will do

Op, this is so detailed and interesting. If you haven't already you should write a book about the experience. There aren't enough biographical accounts of those that cross the deserts to get to Europe.

A quick one please, regardless I'm applying for UK visa end of April after my salary and documents gotten from my girlfriend who is a British citizen.
Information like,
01) Her wage slips.
02) Her bank statements for the last 6 months.
03) Her utility bills: gas, (if applicable) electricity, TV licence, (if applicable) telephone, (if applicable) (not mobile) water bill (if applicable).
04) Her tenancy agreement for the property she lives in, or Mortgage Statement if she's bought it.
05) Her letter of employment, or certificate of incorporation if she's self employed with a registered company.
06) Copy of her Passport Data Page.
07) Invitation letter / sponsorship information too
08) Travel itinerary.
09) Details of email / postal correspondence between both you and your girlfriend.

I'm submitting my bank statement starting from November to April, but I switched jobs in between, the fist 3months I was earning little over 100k, the latter 3months I was earning 300k, I've got employment letters, confirmations letters from both company and I've got a letter from my new company stating its awareness I am travelling. My balance should sum up to about 900k, I've gotten all this information which is,
1) Bank statements for last 6 months.
02) Letter of employment.
04) Passport valid for at least 6 months.
05) Letter of granted leave from your employer.
I also have pictures of me and my girlfriend when she was in Nigeria November and printed correspondents between us via WhatsApp from 1st November till now. We are both 33years old.
Please guys, am I on the right track??

Those documents you listed are good but what is your total cost of the trip?

Ok lets agree over 97% of Nigerians are living in abject poverty and the remaining 3% are above middle class and considered rich. That makes it over 6million rich folks in a country of 200million. With almost 50million Americans on food stamp how many more millions do you need to complete the 70% of over 320million Americans?

You are contradicting yourself, when you marry for visa then the marriage is not genuine because if you take out the immigration gain the marriage is non existent.

The only reason you married that person is to get a visa/passport/citizenship and not because you love that woman/man.

A 20 something or 30 something yr old Nigerian marrying 60-70 yr old white woman is not love, its a sham marriage.

What i hate is the hypocrisy of many of you here who pretended as if this is a good thing to do but yet will never ever marry a Nigeria woman of that age without foreign passport involved.
