You apply only after 6 months of payslips and corresponding bank statements (FULL 6 MONTHS). They won’t accept Just 4 months of payslips.

It is the same even if your wife is your sponsor...rule states minimum 6 months

Please can you point out the section of the rule where that is mentioned.

Good morning all. am about to apply for a spouse visa to join my wife next mouth, but at the moment i only have 4 months pay slips, i understand that am supposed to have 6 months pay slips, but is it desame since my wife is going to be my sponsor? Any advice will be appreciate
You don't need to worry about payslip since your wife is the sponsor. If she meets the financial requirement then nothing regarding finance is expected from you

Why would one even dream of holiday in Canada while earning 180 Canadian dollar a month in Nigeria?

How much do you think it will cost him to visit Canada for.. let say a week and come back to Nigeria?

i have a friend who worked for lawma when she got her UK to attend a conference she was earning about N40somethingK, i was earning over N200k warking in a fin institution yet i was refused. She got the visa and had renewed and visited severally. As at last count when she renewed her 5yr UK visa recently her income wasnt even up to #65K.

Ability to sustain yourself on the trip and not recourse to public funds while on the trip vis a vis your ties back home; to mention but is fee is what the VO is looking out for
Your friend is not paying for the conference so the trip will cost her nothing.

Guys, I am glad to have found this thread on Nairaland. I have surfed through the pages, gathered quite a number of information, actually almost dizzy with the volume of information am taking in. You guys are really doing a wonderful job here.

I intend going to the Uk for a short course in the oil and gas related safety in August. Based on the things I have read here, let me write down some details about my situation that I need your advice on.

1. My present employment commenced in Oct, so it's less than a year.....Does it affect me negatively?
2. I was in my previous company for a period of about 5 years which ended in October last year. Is it going to count?
3. My salary is above 600k per month - after all deductions......Does this suffice for the visa?
4. I have no tax certificate as my previous company defaults in tax payment....Is it necessary to include?
5. My dorm acct has 5000 dollars now, but tuition fee for the course is 2700 pounds ..... Should I pay for the course before applying?
6. Savings acct has only 2.5M naira, Salary Acct has only 1M naira at this present time, all accounts are in same bank. Have other accounts but want to keep it simple for any explanation as I want my source of income to be only salary. Is this enough?
7. Will visit a relation who is resident and works in the UK, so trip will be 4 days course plus 5 days visit. Should I include the visit in my application and collect letter of invitation?
8. No previous travel history. I already read that this does not matter, hope am right.
9. Married with children.....What kind of proof should I include?
10. Own my own house...Do I need to present evidence and what kind of evidence should I present for this.

I will like to report my steps here as I progress and will appreciate every piece of info that will help me, the course is for August and I hope am not late yet in starting this process.

CC justwise, ekpotek, etc, make una come o.
1, No its not a problem

2. It doesn't count because you will be presenting any document from your previous company.

3. Your salary is good

4. Not needed as an employee

5. Paying before application is an added advantage.

6.How much do you have in other accounts not mentioned?

7. You can include it without IV letter

8. That is not a problem

9. Marriage certificate, family pictures and kids birth certificate.

10.Any paper to show proof of ownership

You need a letter from your company giving their consent for the trip.

this is my testimony, those were the countries I went to and applied for US visa, and was granted. Have never been anywhere, the sorry state of visa denials is due to illegality of our people absconding.
..and you were earning N50,000 a month?

Really, when I applied for US visa the only travel history I had was Ghana, Togo and Benin.
Anybody can walk into any of those countries without being asked about salary or work. Your ability to return back to Nigeria is not tested by any means.

why not, but first, you need to build a travel profile. Start with African countries and especially visa free countries.

That doesn't count in the real sense of travel history because no requirement is needed.

Never you forger tax and cost of living. For example you can still get face me I face you house in Nigeria for N20K a year in some parts of Nigeria. Single room self contain can still be from N60,000 and above it depends on the area. You can never get this cheap rate abroad, plus tax and other items. Anybody doing menial job abroad will work for many years before they can afford to put up a decent structure in Nigeria unless they are into drugs or other shady stuff. It takes years of hardwork to accomplish such things
That is why you have good road, 24hrs power supply, good health care and in some countries free, free education, social welfare etc abroad.

So tell me what the tax you pay in Nigeria gets you

Good morning justwise, Ekpotek and all other gurus in the house. Please I need this information for my sister. My sister went to the UK as a Tier 2 Minister of Religion migrant in 2012. She came back to Nigeria because her sponsor's license was revoked and couldn't renew her visa, she didn't overstay. She just got a new job as a Minister of Religion migrant and she want to apply for the visa. The question is this. Did she still have to send her degree certificate to UKNARIC for evaluation inorder to meet the English language requirements or she doesn't need to. Because she said she read it somewhere in the guidance that whoever has been in the UK as a Tier 2 migrant in their PREVIOUS GRANT OF LEAVE will be awarded 10 points automatically for English language. Please we just want to be sure so she won't submit an invalid application. Thank you all.
Read part 6 Tier 2 Policy Guidance (Version 0/2018) PART 6: POINTS AVAILABLE FOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS

https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/673762/Tier_2_Policy_Guidance_01_2018__2_.pdf

section 147 especially answers your question.

At Ogas Justwise, Ekpotek and other gurus in the house, please I need your advice on.my rejection letter.
I submitted my application on the 24th of January, did biometrics on the 27th of January, got a message to pick up my passport on the 12th of February. I picked up my passport with a rejection letter enclosed. Reasons for rejection are as stated in the attached rejection letter.

Documents submitted:

Filled application form
Cover letter detailing itinerary
Bank statement of account with an equivalent of a little over £17,000
Last 6 months payslip
Hotel booking
Flight booking
Employer reference letter.

I am single, I wanted to have an 8-day vacation in London.
Please where did I go wrong?
I found it strange that you are willing to spend more than 2months of your salary in 8days in the UK, if you are a frequent traveler or a business man then i can understand the thinking behind the trip but as a first time traveler it doesn't add up to me.

Please, i want to find out how they count the 15 working days within which Visa officer takes decision on one application, is it from the day you go for biometrics or from the day you receive email from UKVL indicating the receipt of your document. i am asking to know when to expect my package. Thanks in anticipation.
That is the possible answer to your question.

Thanks so much for your response.
Considering my graduation is actually the main reason I’m applying for this visa. Is it impossible to use just my graduation invite letter. I’m worried that I might be rejected because my graduation is in July and I’m planning to travel in May. That’s why I was considering getting an invite letter from my friend aswell to submit alongside my graduation invite letter. But do you think
Just the graduation invitation would suffice please?

No I’m not travelling with anybody. My dad and siblings would be coming much later.
Graduation can be a sole reason for traveling but traveling in May for July graduation is really questionable.

Hello guys. Good day! I have quick questions please and I need your help.
My msc graduation is on July 20th but I want to go to the u.k on the 10th of May to come back May ending and return for my grad in July. I want to apply for a Uk 2 years tourist visa. Now my question is
1. On the part where it says “Is the main purpose of your trip to visit/stay with a close family relative who is settled in the Uk. Is my answer supposed to be yes or no please.
2. Do I have to get an invite from my friend I’ll be staying with for the two weeks I’ll be going for in May or my graduation invite letter will suffice?
3. The part where I’m asked how long I’ll be staying in Uk. Do I say 2 weeks or I can just say 8 weeks since I’ll be going back in a short while for my graduation.
4. My dad and siblings will be coming for my graduation, but they won’t be travelling with me. They would come later. Do I have to mention them on the part where I’m asked if I’ll be travelling alone.

Please help/advice.Thankful in anticipation of your help.
