Now it's no secret among Nigerians living in the UK that the hardest time you will get in the UK will be from a fellow Nigerian. They bone you on the street, look at you in anger, you greet them they don't greet back, you work with them they try to get you fired, they see you in a train and don't want to sit next to you etc etc. It's very fascinating to observe this behaviour . So why does this happen ?

It's very important to understand that the landmAss called Nigeria is just a geographic location like everywhere else on the planet. If you evicted all 200 million Nigerians from that location and filled it up with whites or Chinese, in under 50 years Nigeria will be transformed to a first world paradise and the whole world would want to japa into Nigeria because imagine a first world country that's blessed with that much resources and it's managed well ? It would be the ultimate pAradise on earth. Nigeria has the potential to be the ultimate pAradise on earth . So it's not the country that's the problem, it's the people.

When someone japas out of Nigeria he is running away from the people not the country. And when he sees the same people in the UK he tried to run away from them. He tries to japa from them. He does not want to associate with them. It's the same people he japA from in Africa. In his mind he associates these people with corruption and violence and brashness and mismanagement and stealing and incompetence. So the Nigerian tries to japa from the Nigerian everywhere he sees him outside of Nigeria

On my Post Study Plans, I plan to return back to my current company which is a Building Materials Importation and Distribution Company and also a family business. We plan to create a subsidiary that'll branch into the Finance sector and I'll be at the head of this.

Does returning back to head the establishment of a family business subsidiary make sense to tell the VO.

How long do you think the whole process would take? I plan to submit the portfolio by Monday or Tuesday.
Can I still meet up with January intake?
Anyidea how long it takes to issue CAS? After CAS has been issued, how long would it take to get date for biometrics and thumbprint?
What would delay me if I were to start this process
I would really appreciate your support and guidance here because I feel really impatient and tensed.

I had some money when I went to Canada but my 42,000 sch fees was paid with working here with so many extra savings. Internship alone was $10,000 for 2 months. My program was 2yrs. I did monthly payment plan. I didn’t spend a penny from my Nigeria account. I just want to encourage someone that your will and determination is enough. You don’t have to seek asylum, you can get that degree with your will. Just don’t be Lazy, that’s all. Ask questions and surround yourself with positive people. Just to add, my program was 20months and the fees was paid monthly for 20months

Has anyone renewed his/her UK visa on an expired Nigerian passport?

I might be wrong on this but I presume one's passport validity doesn't matter when renewing within the UK. Also because a BRP was previously issued and people don't necessarily change nationality per year, I reckon HM would have one's original details.

Just curious to see if anyone has renewed a UK visa within the UK on their expired Naija passport.

PS: Trying to save money, time and effort with renewing passportS. Ighatago

For my first FLR M application, my English test was at a B1 level (GESE Grade 5 by Trinity College), I'd like to know if I need to sit another English test for the application extension or is my test result still valid for this new application.

Secondly, for my extension, do I have to pay Health surcharge. I'm not particularly sure if I have to or not.

Please kindly assist me on how to recover the excess charge I paid for IHS, I have used paid mail and I am yet to get refund. I paid USD2616 for my dependant instead of about USD 1046 , but later paid the actual amount for 1 year. They used the later amount to process her IHS but hasn't refunded me.

Is it possible to get a UK student visa when the person has a 2-year ban from a province in Canada (for misrepresentation). Note that visa application was not made in canada, just the provincial suspension

Thanks Justwise, I was able to open a Monzo account for him. However, I doubt if visitors are allowed to open account in the uk and also if home office would expect a visitor to leave such an amount in his UK account and travel back to Nigeria.

Please house, my dad is currently in the uk for visit. I'm thinking of opening an account for him here in the uk and put money in the account so that my younger brother can use him as his sponsor for his student visa application. We fixed money in my younger brother account last year and as a result of the volatility in exchange rate the money is worthless and has been spent as well. The money for his travelling is currently in £ and I'm seriously concerned changing the money to naira to fix in his personal account in Nigeria. Please any suggestions to resolve this issue would be appreciated.
