Bede2u: So I met this woman on a social forum. Early 40s, 4 kids lives in southern America. She is African American. We have become good friends. I live in Gulf region and she is talking of coming to visit me next year. I am late 20s. We are also talking possibility of marriage when she comes. I work in construction in the Gulf while she works as home care nurse in Southern America.
Problem is she has been married 3 times. All to foreigners.
First husband...from caribbean country...had two kids but divorced b4 green card can be given. (He remarried and living in same state with her. Now a citizen)
2nd husband.....a Nigerian who paid her for papers. No strings attached. No love.
3rd husband....another African who she married for love. They married for 4 years. The guy got his papers and left without saying good bye. No kids
Other 2 kids are from a boyfriend...never married.
Now the lady feels that Men Always Leave. I have promised I wont leave if she gives me kids. (I intend to keep that promise) I know she dont believe me though.
Questions 1. If we marry and i come over on spouse visa, can i work on the visa 2. Can i study also on the visa 3. How long can i stay on the visa without applying for green card (incase she gets cunny and refuse to file for me based on her past experience with the African guy) 4. Seeing that she has married 3 times, will it complicate and delay the greencard process if she eventually agrees to file for me
I ask these cos i know she is now paranoid and thinks i would leave after i get papers. I dont mind staying with her after my papers...but i wanna be sure I can live, work and study in America on spouse visa for a long time until she feels confident and trustful enough to file for green card for me. Dont wanna come to America on visa type that wont allow me to work and study This sham marriage is going to end the same way other 4 ended because real love is not on the table here, just American passport. Will you marry a Nigerian woman with 4kinds that has married 3 times before if foreign passport is not on the table ? This woman is 20yrs older than you with 4 kids and 3 baby daddies. You promised to stay with her if she gives you kids? Who are you kidding bro? You want to marry her for paper simple! If people turn this thread to sham marriage counselling thread then I will move it to romance or family section. |

Says it's necessary for obtaining employment on arrival in the UK, else I might have to wait for 6 months before working inorder to get a UK police report. Please, how acurate is this? What sort of job? Some jobs like working with children or elderly people may require full CRB check.. etc |

I have been an ardent follower of your thread and topics on Nairaland.
Kindly help me with the following questions; 1. Do I need to do 2 different applications for myself and my fiance ( Proposed wedding date 1st Quarter 2018 ) 2. What documents do I need to put in place for this application in addition to the basic documents ? 3. I am a frequent traveler ( West African countries) and also did a to - fro trip to South Africa, will my travel experience count in this application ? 1. Yes. 2. Read few pages here for an answer to that. 3. Travel experience is an advantage. |

Julify13: Hello everyone.
Please i'd appreciate if anybody would help me further with a uk renewal visit visa i'm currently completing for my mom. she visited in the past on a 6month visa. i stated that she'd stay for two weeks but she ended up staying for 4months -do I need to address this in this next application? if yes,how please.
secondly, considering the first question above, will it be ideal for me to increase her stay time this time around or just stick to the initial two weeks? will it be sensible if i went for a two years visa? sorry for all these questions, I get really nervous and anxious when it come to visa issues.... would really appreciate any helpful response. many thanks. State exactly the number of weeks you want your mum to stay and avoid repeating the previous mistake of declaring less then keeping her longer that stated. If you indicated two weeks again this time around do you think that the ECO will believe you considering what happened last time? Yes you can go for 2yrs visa. |
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by justwise(mod): 3:51pm On Dec 17, 2017 |
blza: If her purpose of visit was family visit .. then Nothing much to worry about. Remember one crucial point, she did not breach the terms of her visa. The maximum entry period is 6 months (180 days) and she didn’t breach that.
Just mention on a cover letter or in the additional information section of the form that even though in her last application , it was stated she will be in the UK for 2 weeks but stays for xyz period which is still within her allowed entry period .
The overstay of It is usually not a big deal to over stay the stated period on the application. It’s May only become an issue or raise red flags if someone claim to be working or have a business/field employed and have taken short leave to travel for a specific short period and then end up staying for months. It raises questions on the credibility of the claimed job/business.
Apply for 2 years visa if you like.
In my own case ,during my mum’s last application we stated she was going to stay for 6 weeks. She stayed for 4months 3 weeks. On her recent app, I just mentioned on her form but emphasised she didn’t breach her terms. Her 2 year visa was issued within 2 working days. So please don’t panic . Technically that is not true especially for first visit. The number of days or weeks you indicated is very important as it links to your ability to afford that trip. If you indicated in your visa application that you will be staying two weeks and your budget takes care of that two weeks then staying longer than that is questionabl. A lot of people here have been refused a visa because of this many times if you read back. Regarding this particular case..it may not be a big deal if his mum is retired but if the mum works in Nigeria or running her own business then it's a different case. |

Alikote: a friend got a job of 21000 euro in Ireland after an Msc in the country but the monthly bills will leave him almost broke cos housing is around 900 euro, food 250, tax 200,heating 50 transport 50 mess 150 balance 200 euro monthly...this after spending 15000 euros for the msc and 1500 for job training ....
2..a guy went to America and he told me his monthly mortgage is 1400 dollar monthly for 25 years he also have car loan and most graduate have tuition loan of over 50000 thousand dollar so if you add up all this monthly it up to 2000 dollar monthly excluding your food ..so how will one get rich in America through work do seem to get it.
3 a average Nigerian can have 20,000 dollars in his account plus a fully paid house and car but still want to go to america Your friends are living beyond their means especially the one in Ireland. That €21000 is a gross salary after taxs he will be left with €1900 plus, so why renting a house worth almost €900 a month? |
