OK... Here is it.
My dream is to get an Education in Canada.
I finished with a second class lower in Applied Geology 2014 (2.92 to be precise .. )
Age: would be 28 by next year.
I did my IELTS and made band of 7.0
I've applied for admission to Marine Institute New Foundland for Advance diploma in Water quality.
I've been offered Provisional Admission.
Now from all these I've been reading here, about getting study permit For Advance diploma after a BSc.. I am practically weak, I feel like giving up before even starting.
I practically sent mail to all the schools that offered Msc related to my course all turned me down. Loads of regret mails they all requested for a 2.1...
What do I do as I plan to submit my application in June... ? Has anyone been successful through this my type of scenario?
I've spent and I'm weak already... zeemo2007: @bjayNL
This is study in Australia thread.
You are better off studying master in Canada than postgraduate or diploma course.
Unfortunately Canada schools only admit 2.1 directly to master.
My friend it's a gamble applying to study to study diploma or graduate diploma or graduate certificate in Canada, very low chance of getting visa.
Do not waste your chance. Research other better countries. Consider this post very well. |

I am currently in the UK on a Tier 4 visa expiring in January 2019. Same goes for my dependants. I have now gotten a job and intend to switch to a Tier 2 visa. However, I am not able to apply for my dependants at the same time as myself, and am wondering what the grace period is for my dependants to switch to Tier 2 dependant visas, in order for them not to become illegal.
In other words, can I switch to tier 2 now and switch my dependants at a later date e.g. a month or so before their current visa expires.
Many thanks Definitely you can do that |

Tips For Giving Birth in the USA1. Apply for a B1/B2 Medical visa, go with evidence to show that you have a hospital, doctor and funds to cover accommodation, medical treatment and any other incidences. (This is popularly referred to as' Burden of proof' on this thread).
2. Be honest during the visa interview about your intention to give birth in US.
3. At the POE, you are expected to go with your burden of proof and be well prepared to answer questions to avoid deportation. Note : It is not a crime to birth in the US. It is a crime however if you conceal this fact from your visa officer (VO) or Customs and Border Protection (CBP). This act is considered misrepresentation and can result in deportation and cancellation of visa and sometimes a ban.
4. After birthing. Kindly pay ALL your bills and ALL your baby/ies' bills. Do not accept medicaid. Although your Child acquires automatic citizenship, it is presumed you were not allowed on the shores of America to add to their financial/Tax burdens.
5. After birthing , you follow the steps for getting a US passport, Nigerian passport/Visa /Travel documents for your child. If your child's travel document is his international passport, you require a dual way ticket.
EMERGENCY TRAVEL DOCUMENT (ETC)
1. Cost - $270 plus $20 for post office or $30 for FedEx
2. Send the following supporting documents:
- 2 passport photos of baby. - Copy of parent's Nig. passports (data page) - Birth certificate (copy) - Itinerary and Letter of consent for ETC.
and address it to: The Consular Officer, Embassy of Nigeria, Washington DC 20008
You can use this Sample Letter but please edit it to make it yours
Dear Sir/Madam We the parents of ...wish to apply for Emergency Travel Certificate for him/her to enable us take him to Nigeria. Due to logistics reasons we are unable to process a Nig passport at this time. Thank you for your assistance. Yours truly, (sign and also write your full name. Spouse to sign too).

abujaniv: Hello. We don’t normally post in this thread, but it seemed worthwhile to drop in and correct some misconceptions. We say this a lot, but it bears repeating: Birth tourism is legal in the US provided the applicant is open about their intention and pays the medical expenses in full. This means that the applicant should declare any such intention they have at the Embassy/Consulate and again at the port of entry.
If it happens that the applicant gets pregnant well after the initial visa interview, they will have the opportunity to make their intention, medical preparations and financial resources known at the POE. However, it will remain up to Customs and Border Patrol whether to allow that applicant into the country. Some are not, and they are put on the next flight home. This must be extremely uncomfortable for a heavily pregnant person, to spend 15-20 hours on a flight to America, several more hours being questioned, then another 15-20 hours on a plane home. This is what we want to avoid.
Onto some other misconceptions: The concept of the “change of intent” letter is not valid. These e-mails are not read nor correlated with the applicant’s file. Some people who send such letters may get a form letter in response, but it is informational in nature and in no way confers permission to amend the declared purpose of travel. What matters is what you declare at the Embassy/Consulate and at the POE. After the fact e-mails do not carry any weight.
Some applicants say, “I applied for only the B2 visa to declare my medical intent.” The B1/B2 visa categories are conjoined, so applying for only one does not make any difference. Other applicants say, “I appeared at the window with a big belly,” as if this alone is enough to declare their medical intent. Again, the responsibility is on the applicant to be honest about what they plan to do in the US.
Other considerations: Medical care is expensive in the US, and costs can escalate dramatically if there are complications. Credibility is paramount in the US visa process. If visa officers detect any deception or obfuscation, no amount of excuses, documents or receipts will make up for the loss of credibility. |

Lamide123: 21000/year that is 1750 euro per month. After all deductions his take home might be around 1450. It is a big money in Nigeria, one cannot survive with this in Ireland even if you live in a shared apartment. Remember your family back home will be expecting something too Yes you can survive on that if you live within your means. If you are left with 1450 a month after all deductions and you can't survive on that then you are not financially responsible. |

MRSHYCAT: I have been following this thread, and I know for sure he never said he is getting married for the papers. you're the one calling the marriage a fraud. He said he doesn't having a kid with her and also living with her for good. Now part of his fears is if she decides to jilt him because of the lack of trust. This is also an issue to him because he is gonna leave his life in the middle east to start a new one in US. I'm not against your opinion, but don't call it a fraud when you can't read the heart of the man. He is a man with brain. He is only planning his alternative just in case things go south. Nothing is guaranteed in this life. I call it what its.. a fraud, feel free to dance around it. |

MRSHYCAT: Marriage's everywhere in this world is a union of interest. He has his reason or reasons of getting married to this said woman. You're not sure of his intentions. except you can read minds. However, people get married for different reasons, some people want kids to carry their legacy to the next generation, some love, some money etc. You cannot question his intention of getting married to the woman because its not your duty. He only came to the forum to seek something like a professional advice on how to migrate after marriage, and I expect you advice him if you like or you can also keep mum. Its his life, whatever he does with it is his cup of tea. Maybe when he asks for moral advice, you can raise this points you have raised up there. for now , guy man needs travel advice, which is still within the context of this thread and forum. Tankyo!!! Is either you have not being reading his posts or you did not comprehend it because he made his intention pretty much clear. I have the right to air my opinion on this issue just as you do, so don't tell me how respond to any post as long as i'm not going against forum rules. |

Bede2u: Marriages end all the time
Yes I can if there are other things to gain from the marriage. Could be happiness, wealth, influence and/or fame. For instance, I can marry Rita Dominic, Kate Henshaw, Omotala and Genevieve Nnaji She is actually 13 years older than me with 2 baby daddies. Macron, the president of France is married to a woman 24 years older than him, with 3 grown children. We are to believe the marriage is because of love only right? Afterall Macron is white and cant do anything questionable. Is it possible Macron was fvcking an older, married woman and eventually married her for career advancement and politics? Dont answer the question. Who we go ask?
If u do that, am sure u have other reasons cos the thread is exactly what it is. Your examples are laughable, Macron did not marry his wife for French passport and there was no immigration intent, their love is a far cry from this marriage fraud you are about to carry out. You just proved my point that you are in it for immigration gain and not love |

Its a gift,I didn't buy it
Thing is,no time to visit their office, that's why I'm trying to make the necessary researches online If somebody you know very well sent you a gift he/her will not make you pay for the import duty, if this is gift from an online friend then be careful before paying the so called import duty. knowing your name or telling you his name means absolutely nothing. I was recently sent an Iphone8 from the U.S through FedEx and I was called by a FedEx employee this morning who requested for my Air waybill code and Answer to the security question after he confirmed I was the one on the phone,he then later told me I had to pay #11,300 Naira for the customs import duty fee and said I have to pay within three days or else the package will be returned.I haven't used FedEx before so I don't know how it works, made some research on their site and found out that the import duty payment duty thingy was real. So,anyone who has used the service before, can you enlighten me more as I'm not satisfied with the little info I got on their site. Thanks
Mods please help me move this to the right section if this is the wrong one. First of all searching the number that called you to know if it links to FedEx. Did you buy this phone personal or somebody sent to you as a gift? Why not visit their office personal to find out? |
