@justwise the project is to begin 2nd week of January
You can re-reply and ask the UK company to give you there customer service number or tell you how the embassy can contact them.

Hello @justwise, please i need your candid advice as this is my first time to post on this page. I was refused uk visa today and the reason was that, the CEO and the company that sent me the invite to uk could not be reached. Now this was supposed to be an official visit sponsored by my company where i work and the trip was for just 3day. Now my question is, what do i do, we have a project coming up with this firm and other companies in different countries that have people coming for this meeting has been granted visa, why should mine be different. My boss has asked the CEO of the firm in uk to write to the home office of the uk immigration but i don't know if this will help cos no option of appeal was granted or do i reapply? This is actually my 1st application to any European country. Thanks
Blame the UK company for the refusal because the embassy was unable to get hold of them to verify the purpose of your trip.

When is the project taking place?

JUSTWISE pls my mum said she went to UK with a work visa when she gave birth to me i don't know if that makes a difference
ekpotek:
Unfortunately your mum work visa does not equate to permanent residency. Either of your parent must have a permanent residency status or a British Citizenship at the time of your birth for you to have right of abode in the UK. You only route to immigrate is vis student visa or work visa as i had earlier suggested.
You got your answer there

I salute Blows_job for creating this thread. It takes courage, not a small one sef.
Haba, but people can be judgmental sha. Stuffs happen to people at different point in time that determine their decisions.

Stop forming abeg, almost everybody wanna relocate to America. Be it Nigerians, Mexicans, Chinese, Ghanaians etc. That people change status especially on B1/B2 visa isn't peculiar to Nigerians alone. In my few years of staying in the US, I have seen enough.

Can I encourage anybody to relocate/change status here,oh yes! My own personal opinion, I prefer to stay in a sane environment pls. Naija too hard and harsh. Naija is like jungle, survival of the fittest grin

My short story of getting here. Few years ago,I came for a family vacation, my husband and my 2 children. Hubby had a good job with take home of like 20k that time. I was also in academics,so my pay too was ok, like 120k. We applied based on that, truthfully oh, and we were granted B1/B2 visa. Hubby just got a mail on our third night in the US,guess what,na sack letter! Gobe leyi ooooo.

We were devastated, didn't know what to do next. We just decided to manage stay for the remaining vacation period and head back home. But I told my mum about my husband sack letter. She come remember that one of her long lost family friends(Mr A) dey Yankee. We got the man contact and link up with him. We explained our situation to him and the man said our best bet is to stay put for Yankee oh. Naija hard na, hubby will come back home come to join the endless ocean of job seekers.

But Mr A over try for us no be small. He engaged ones of his friends wey be immigration lawyer to put us thru. Mr A offered to do marriage with me and he arranged one white lady to marry my husband, all at no cost. I won't go too deep into it more than this so it won't look as if I dey encourage bad bad thing oh lipsrsealed

We don get our Pali now, doing well in the US. We don't do crime or move with bad gang. And we be employer of labor.

My advice to anybody coming, be focus. It will be tough,no matter the means you come in with,it going to be tough. Naija work etiquette is quite different from Yankee own oh.

Now I'm waiting for supreme court judges to come judge this my matter now.....mchewwww.
Blows_jobs,I'm sorry for my long epistle on your thread.
A married couple that engaged in sham marriage for American passport is saying they did not commit any crime?

How morally low can we go and still claim that we are not doing anything wrong?

You lot can complain about Twoods approach as much as you want but truth must be told.

smh

because I'm against his friend (Mr righteousness)huhhuh @ Mr righteousness why didn't you ask yourself why Nigerians (you always criticise) excel outside Nigeria shores, they do because they have the intention to and not only that, but also have dividend of good governance backing their hustle. Nothing like workers being owed salary, poor road network. You buy pole, wire and still pay nepa to connect your house to use electricity and in addition to that, you're issued ridiculous nepa bill. Tell me why you won't give boys 2k not to disconnect your wire gringrin. I think it's better to channel your rants to the government and not to people that are doing everything possible to come enjoy what you've been enjoying.
If you have the ability to put your points across without insulting people then your post will stand.

It's essentially another interview to be honest. He has to apply for an interview date and appear before a VO in person before he can be issued a replacement visa. Although i would presume that they would take into account the fact that he had been previously approved for a visa.
What is the need for another visa interview?

ow about another interview??
Do you expect the embassy to just email you a visa without talking to you to know exactly what happened? They will need your biometric details again so as to pull up your details

Sgttanner:
but I am told I will have to go for another interview..just like the first one ?
That is unlikely.

Yes you will be called in by the embassy so as to verify your case. When you are issued another visa the stolen one will be cancelled.

The visa or passport is useless to whoever that took it because your biometric is there.

shocked shocked O dear! this is bad luck of the worst kind. I think you need to apply for another visa asap. But first you need to report the theft to the police, obtain a police report (i think the US consulate will request for this as evidence that your passport was stolen), then you need to apply for a new passport and then apply for a new visa. Hopefully you still have your I-20?
I don't think so, yes he has to report to the police and get a report from the police so as to apply for another passport.

This thread just made my day. Was bored enough to read almost every page and then I really began to enjoy (?) It. Nigerians claim to be smart and religious. Yet the vast majority are wicked, gullible, ignorant and will believe anything just to feel better. After something like this, MMM came around and succeeded. APC too! grin grin (abeg forget that last line)

Another person will come with another scam and you will see the flock in to fall for it. You will see them insult people that tell them to use common sense to see a scam. You will see them say stupid things like "life is a risk". They will say "something must kill a man" all to hide the fact that they are too stupid and greedy.
That says it all.

NL has been interesting for years. Damn! Just stumbled on this link. So hilarious when people can be so blinded with the lies despite all numerous attempt to wake dem up for there gullible slumber.

One of the major reasons why we are still behind in this century is because majority are educated illiterates and the sad part is the scam still continues in different format till today with all this "agent" schemes here and there.

Good job to justwise and all dt has been preventing some wise ones from falling victims for a long time.

No be small work.
This is likely to happen again though not in this section as long as I still moderate it.

Many Nigerians are not actually smart forget about hot air you read from many here.

If somebody comes up with similar scheme here a lot of people will fall for it again.

I have to be totally honest with you, there is no way you can relocate to the UK considering your situation.

You can relocate through work visa if you applied for work in the UK and get employed.
