Hi Justwise,

Just want to take time out and say a big thank you for the good job you have been doing here. I went through this thread and was able to use all the info gathered to successfully apply for a visa for my wife and she was granted 2 years multiple.

Application was submitted on 1st of February, got a mail from UKV1 that decision has been made on the 20th (But visa has a start date of 15th February though), got another email that it was ready for collection on the 21st.

Once again, thank you for your time and I wish everyone success.
Thank you too, very nice of you.

Dear Justwise and other wonderful people,

Please I need your kind advise.

I have been to the Uk on tier 4 visa and left immediately I finished my masters. I didn't overstay or have any criminal record! Lol...(I'm not sure you will still remember me but you helped me with process for tier 4)

Now I want to return to the Uk to visit my friends and do a bit of sightseeing on what have missed. I currently work and my salary is about £1300 monthly. It is a contract job finishing 2022.

I would also be staying with my friend who is British-Nigerian during my 14days holiday.

Justwise could you please kindly advise on what I should include in application. I know a list should be somewhere in the thread but with my tiny little phone going through the thread is no easy task.

please I await your kind suggestion.
Evidence of employment, salary account, 6 months payslips, leave letter and other investment you may have.

Your friend has to send proof of accommodation, invitation letter, data page of his passport, his bank statement and payslips

So you now determine whether I understand or not. Kontinu. I understood more when the other two ladies explained! Well if you must know, I was well within my rights to address him for bringing children into the matter. I didn't have an issue with his explanation until he started addressing children . Wasn't it me that asked question? I asked him question on discounts, e enter low income matter. Like I will go and be telling them I earn less that $200. Leomwe and Mama00 that answered sensibly, aren't they human beings? Abeg, let's learn to talk civilly. Whether you abuse people or not, people will still be what they are and do what is in their mind. So why get headache over the matter. It is not the truth you are saying that is the problem, it is how you say it. Aren't you the one setting the rules of being cordial in our conversations again? If you are encouraging him to be rude, then it will continue.

I don sign out for this matter. Make we discuss important issues for here.
Why are you trying to spin this to make it look as if TWoods insulted any child in this argument?

This is the comment you are referring to: Some day, your children will move here too. We'll see how they enjoy paying for others to come get medical care for free.

This is a statement of fact! One day your child will move to US to live, work and pay into the system then some freeloaders will come and use it without contributing a penny.

But you know ehn, a lot of honest people do not have problem with hearing the truth. I think people are on to him cos he keeps delivering his truth based on the discount issue. I really have a problem with people lying just to get benefits which they are not entitled to, but I am still not clear on the discount thingy, that was why I even genuinely asked the dude a question yesterday only for him to running like diarrhoea stool. If his argument is based on intentionally trying to derive benefit from a system you contribute nothing to, I'd understand. Na me go even follow am dey scream. But if the discount thing is a crime, let us know so that those of us that will not be able to afford paying 30k for childbirth will know. If that is the case, then the whole thing no worth am be that. My 2 cents.
Mimimum sorry but you are one of those people here who decided to attack TWoods because you don't like the way he presented the truth and not because you don't understand his explanation.

You asked a genuine question and he gave his opinion then the hell let loose.

Lomwe and Mama00 explained this correctly and that is exactly the issue with discounted hospitals.

This is not about you getting 2,3 or 5% discount for paying cash in full , this is about foreign mothers applying as low income earners so as to get huge discounts meant for Americans tax payers.

It seems as if Justwise has banned that guy,
cos if not He'll certainly have responded to all the comments made about him and then some....
Frankly, I'm surprised it took so long cos anytime he comes on this thread, He is always courting controversy or seeking conflict, baiting people by making snide comments etc. It was very amusing the way peeps fell for his bait by responding to his jibes (which was exactly what he was seeking). You all need to master the art of 'unlooking....'
No I did not ban him and I will not as long as he keeps delivering those uncomfortable truth without insult.

Some Nigerian have problem with the truth and it's so obvious in this thread. We can't spin it off because people see us for who we are.

Whoever can't stand some blunt truth should get used to it quite frankly.

We don't have any moral right to condemn the politicians because many here will do even worse when placed in a position of responsibilities.

James Ibori started with credit card fraud when working in London and did not stop stealing when he became a governor. When he returned to Nigeria as a convicted criminal he was celebrated.

God bless you. You're the only one who seems to have a lot more insight into this discount or no discount ish. Take all the doctor provided discount.. because the more people they can attract with their low fees, the more money for them.

My problem and my pepper body cheesy only comes when people declare low incomes to get services from community clinics and hospitals that was set aside for low income earners in the US. These people work and PAY TAXES (emphasis on "Pay Taxes"wink to the system. They just do not make enough for them to be able to access the healthcare that they need. Why take advantage of such systems when it was not set up for you in first place and you had already declared thousands of dollars available for childbirth at the embassy. It's just not fair. Yours truly will not even be offered services in those kinds of clinics because once they run my name and my social security number, they know I have insurance, earn more than the income bracket of the people that they provide services for and that I do not simply qualify.

I don't blame other people When I see them angry about people who come from outside the US and declare low incomes to correspond to whatever the exchange rate is with their country's currency, just so they can pay less. People on this thread are still even good, shebi we all pay for the services and get zero balance letters or whatever. I know at least two people that had babies in the US last year and didn't pay a dime. All bills paid via Medicaid. That's just annoying.

lomwe:
However, i think the misunderstanding is going to some community clinics like Access Health, Hope Clinic, Ben Taub etc and getting a hospitaal dicount of the basis of "low income earner". This is where the problem lies for two major reason

1) When you declare a low household income to fit into a the poor American dicounted healthcare, you are invariably saying you are working and making income (those hospitals don't bother to check your immigration stauts) This voilates your B1/B2 visa.
2) It also means such individual has made a recourse to public funds. Remember these low income clinics will at the end of the year during tax file your name as one of those they provided healthcare to and ask government to make up for half of the money you did not pay. Government will then check you out and find out that it was a foreigner who has made a recourse to public fund. These process may a take up to a year or two but surely it will come out. So please avoid it except you don't mind a subsequent ban to US.

Thank you.
God bless both of you!!!

This is exactly what started the argument and this is the point TWoods was trying to make

Technically you overstayed. You indicated that you are traveling for 3weeks and presented a budget of 3weeks so you need to explain what you were doing for 4months in the U.K and how you survived

Good day house

I, my wife, and 2 kids are planning a trip to UK in April

Please i need a little guidance,
While filling the UKBA form online, i found some sections confusing.

Under Employment section
1. " How much do you earn each month after tax "
and
Under Income & Expenditure section
2. " Total amount of money that you get a year "

Now to question Nr. 1 My payslips shows only my basic salary of N200,000/month which exclude all my allowances which totals well over N6.5m, do i state the amount on my payslip (N200k/month) or should i add all my allowance a year and divide by 12months (N800K/Month)?

Question 2. I also engage in Professional practise with my Engineering licences - COREN (Private Practise) and earn a lot of money from it. Do i state only my income from my Paid job or should i total including funds i earn from private practise?

Question 3: Do i have to get a reservation for accommodation?

Please justwise worry357 et all kindly help

PS: I and my family (Wife and children) had been to the UK in 2015 on a 6 months visa
State your actual salary as seen in your salary account and payslip then use the additional information space to explain the other income.

Yes you need to make hotel reservation.

Hello

I was recently refused german visitor visa, although i am a student in germany and i have german residence permit that extends till june 2018.
This are the reason stated for the refusal

1. You have applied for a visa to visit the Uk for 6 days
2. You state that you are a student. The document that you presented from your university show that your were enrolled on a course between 1.10.2016 and 31.3.2017 and there is no evidence of your ongoing studies beyond this date

3.As evidence of funds . you presented your bank acc with 3900 as at 13.2.2017 and there is no evidence of the origin of this large deposit
In the light of the above i am not satisfied that you are seeking entry as a geniune visitor fora purpose permitted ot that you intend to leave UK on completion of your visit. I am not satisfied that there are sufficient fund to adequately cover the cost of your visit and maintain and accomodate you for the duration of your visit or meet the cost of your onward or return journey V4.2 (A, C. E)

As i intend to reapply immediately because i now have a proof from my school that my studies extend till the end of the year, and my last 6 month payslip that showed i earned more than 4000 euros(which serves as origin of my income) and a new job contract that extends for 6 months. All these were not in my previous application. What are my chances?

Go ahead and apply with those additional documents it will increase your chances.

Welldon bros. You are doing a great job here.

Can you please help me out with some of informations?

What type of letters are needed for someone going for a Christian leadership fellowship, organized by one of his church branch in New York?

I know the person needs an invitation letter from the church there but I want to know the type of letters to be written to the embassy by the person's church who is one of the pastor of the church branch here.

Is it confirmation letter or recommendation letter?

Does the person needs ordination certificate from the church?

What are the chances of the person getting a visa if he is going to be sponsored by his relative and not the church?

This is not the first time his relative sponsored him.

How does one proves he was sponsored by same relatives for same program he went to in Korea some few years ago?

Help one of my friend pastor is going for an interview tomorrow morning by 9:30am.

He submitted his application last week Friday evening and he is going for interview tomorrow.

Did he submit the application forms to late?
The US embassy doesn't care about invitation letters you just have to answer questions truthfully.

Yes his travel history will help but he still need to proof that he has a strong tie to Nigeria, good job or profitable business, family and other investments

If he is going to represent the church then the church should sponsor him and not relatives.

This is a wrong thread for this

Hello jacksparow. In the case of births and students, some documents may be required. For births in particular, we want to confirm that healthcare costs were paid in full. Visa officers have seen many applicants bearing statements/receipts from hospitals in the US. We also know generally what healthcare costs in America.
It's sometimes the case that unscrupulous doctors will craft unrealistically cheap birth plans and then go on to bill the government for the full costs. What are the true costs? A Google search for "how much does birth cost in the US" turned up this result:

Hello Just Wise,

So here is our scenario. I am British/Nigeria married to my Nigerian Husband for the last 12 years, years we have 4 British children together, we live in Nigeria at the moment.
We are planing to travel as a family for a 2 week visit to the UK in a couple of weeks and and I have worries about my hubby being denied entry at border contol.
We applied for his Visa last year (1st time application), it was immediately granted, my brother who lives in in the UK is our sponsor and host.
Can anyone who has gone to the UK on a family visit visa tell me what questions to anticipate at POE and how best to prepare for it. We are genuine couple with obvious and extensive documentation to prove so. I am also worried about the Immigration officer wondering why I haven't file for the Spouse Visa for him. Just to answer that question, we just really were never interested in living and raising our kids in the UK. We are happy here in Nigeria. So your help, remarks, suggestions are needed. Or should I just bloody stop worrying about nothing?
I don't see your husband having any problem at the Poe and not applying for spouse visa will not pose any problem infact it should be an advantage because you are not desperate to run to the UK through marriage. It gives you a stronger tie to Nigeria

Happy Weekend People..

Hope u guys had a great week ?

Pls I summited my visa application days ago to study in canada bt I have been bothered since then because of what I thought was a mistake on my part,bt I hv been told by people that it doesn't matter.

Here..

My sponsor was leaving in a particular area before he relocated but still in lagos so the address of the area was used to open a bank account + was the address on all his property document so he relocated and now on the affidavit of support he wrote the address of his new house. Although all names and signature remained same.
So I was thinking won't the embassy be in doubt although he referred them to all his properties on the affidavit.

And all the property documents was issued in 2012,2015 and 2016 respectively so on the affidavit he wrote yesterday and clearly wrote the date..

Will the embassy assume he relocated because one is nt meant to change address of all properties once relocated and one is not meant to be in a place all year round.

Just ur thought in this learned friends.

Thanks.
