The current issue has nothing to do with the high commission. Yes, they may have had their issues in the past but the current 32page scarcity is a nationwide problem even in Nigeria. 64pages are available but people don't want because they have to pay more. I wouldnt either.
Bros why do you keep repeating this and failed to understand the fundamental issue here?

This is not just about passport booklet even when there is booklet getting passport from the embassy is one hell of a journey.

To submit your completed form and postal order you need to take the whole day off work!

My first experience was in 2010 and i got to the embassy before 10am and left 5pm.

So don't blame the booklet

Bro before the issue of passport booklet people have been complaining about that embassy. I have been there twice since 2010 and it's a badly run embassy

God help our people. I stand by my country Nigeria and my good people anytime any where. Here i got to say we need to forget the fact that we leave, stay abroad and own up to date phone that got a good camera future and also we want our good Nairaland friends to know that we are in the Uk and can speak good english.
Well done sister mi, what's your point? you want the president of 200m of us to stand up from his sick bed to ask the security personnel to give you access to your passport in London, is this a new service? Anyway thank you for letting us know that you visit the Uk Nigeria High Commission and you are able to have 24hrs electricity in UK to charge your phone. It is about time we standby our people and slow by slow we will get there, no home is build in a day.
In your video you want to write up to who? about like of customer service from the guards or the building? Dear, charity begin at home. Slow but surely your passport will be given to you and i believe with your good London customer service skill you will be heading home to provide that customer service lecture that will bring change to our people and also it will help people Like Mr Reno Omokra who manage to know how to pronounce the name Buhari (my opinion) to provide something new to that economic if he is chance again.
God bless Nairaland and God bless Nigeria.
This is why Nigeria doesn't deserve anybody better than Buhari. It will be great injustice for Nigerians like you to experience decent treatment from a better leader

Exactly. She is just creating unnecessary noise. 32 page booklets are scarce. If she wants to pay for the 64 page she will get one ASAP. She no wan spend money. Even in Nigeria, the 32 page is scarce so it's not the embassys fault at this time. She should take her noise to the nigerian immigrarion seevice or whoever is responsible in Abuja.
Don't blame passport booklet scarcity this is age long problem with Nigerian embassy in London.

Please Sir, I have applied for uk visas thrice in the last 6 yrs. I have gotten 6 months visa , 2 yrs visas( twice). I want to renew now and i feel i should apply for 6 months (with my toddler now) because the last 2 yrs visa i had, i only travelled once with the visa for a duration of 4 weeks only. I hope it wont be a problem applying for 6 months when i am meant to go for 2/5 yrs. Thanks
ekpotek:
It a wrong impression to believe that you must apply for longer visa duration from you last successful visa. The duration you choose should depend on your need to visit the UK. Having said that, you have no problem if you decide to go for 6 months this time. 5 year U.K. Visa is now £600. Imagine if you are denied. You are free to also apply for your child too. Your application with be considered based on your presence circumstances and previous immigration history as a visitor to the UK.

Kindly unban theSoj. He thinks the anti spam bot, inadvertently banned him while he was trying to make a simple post. I am reliably informed that he was banned for 2 days.

Kindly do the needful. Thanks baba ! We are not ungrateful for your hard work!

On a lighter note; if you don't unban him within the next 3hrs of making this post, I will call the FBI, CIA, HOMELAND SECURITY, SECRET SERVICE, INTERPOL AND OUR VERY OWN EFFC to look into the matter. grin grin
anti spam bot ban is not longer than 24hrs.

Unbanned and post restored.

@Twood. In as much as I appreciate your concern about people doing the right thing I take exception to you labeling an average Nigerian a scammer.fradulent and " corner cutter" you would be surprised that many of us had the opportunity of being a GC holder but we chose not to be one because we have better things doing here. Let me also advice you to be very careful the way you bring God into your banters and quote scriptures while calling yourselves names. Me and you no be mate ooo.so please don't come for me and if you do...........

..maybe you should not quote him and air your own view and still threatened him not to come for you.

Yes average Nigerian can hardly be trusted with a toilet brush let a lone something very precious.

I came back from Nigeria few hours ago and some Nigerians are really bad. From the bank to immigration asking for bribe and accepting one are just way of life.

There is no point coming here to defend God we don't respect and fear him, its all lip services.

Sorry justwise and other gurus as this is going to be a long read

So yesterday I was refused a UK Visa (first time applicant) and reasons give as below:

While I do not intend to re-apply anytime soon because I can’t be spending money anyhow on visa applications but I will like some professional advise on the above reasons for refusal.

My Questions
1. My UBA account is the salary Account with Closing Balance of about 6M and continuous inflow and outflow of over 30M for the six month period. However my company pays salary twice, 50% to the bank at month end and 50% by cash every half month. So the salary inflow from my company is just half of the N175,000 which I have stated above. And I did attach a letter to explain this. So I’m wondering If the VO don’t consider LOE?. Secondly, I did not attach a payslip to my application, as my company don’t give same, except you have to keep disturbing the account guys. But I attached my Employment letter which states my annual income, Leave letter from the office and also a recent letter of salary review.

2. In additional to the UBA account, I attached a Dollar account of about 4k USD, and two confirmations of fix deposit from my Banks, with amount in Millions. So, I’m wondering if the VO is suspicious that I showed too much money for a salary of N175k per month?. Please note that I did state in my application that I get additional income of about N70K commission from the office, avg. N200k monthly interest from my fixed account investment, about 300K from property rent. All these were also explained in the LOE.

Any professional advise will be helpful for future applications.
Your financial details does not add up, if your salary is N175K a month in a year you will be earning about 2.1 millions. So for you to have 6M in your salary account it means you have worked for 3yrs and saved all your income.

You did not explain the source of $4K £ss in your account that was why you were refused.

Oga Justwise and the rest gurus in the house please help me.

I am married with a full time job but NGN 99,000 is my take home salary but i still earn personal money from event management and cake making, i have a registered company but no company account all money from my side businesses comes into my saving accounts either my salary account or other accounts.

I have plots of lands and a car in my name.

I want to apply for UK visa my husband will pay for my return ticket and i have international partners, friends and relative in Uk which i can stay in their house .

1. With my salary do i have chance of getting the UK visa though i have all other proof of work documents included Tax to back it up

2. Is it wise to use any of my friends or relative address of where i will stay or should i use a hotel address

3. Like how much can i quote that i will be spending for my trip from my pocket as Oga will handle the ticket part and i have free accommodation

4. Do i need to provide Oga's statement of account?

5. I have like 1.6 now in my salary account will that be ok

I am looking at travelling in August ,please when is the best time to apply is this of March too early

Looking forward to hearing from you guys
1. With 99000 salary no but with additional income backed up with paper evidence it may increase your chances

2.If you are going to stay with one of them or see them yes you have to include their address and details.

3. Your budget for the trip will answer that question

4. Yes and his source of income

5. Again your budget for the trip will help answer that question

May or June.

@ Justwise please advise...
Hello everyone, please I need advice... I got my visa in September 2016 for family vacation in Dec but cld not travel till Feb 2017. I'm back now from the vacation and plan to travel for child birth in April, hope that will not raise any questions at the POE if I say I'm back for childbirth since I just came back from vacation in Feb. I just wanted to use the visa for what I was given first which is vacation so as to avoid any problems at future renewals. Has anyone been in a similar situation please
Did you indicate child birth during the interview since you were pregnant then?

Thank you @twoods @justwise @mimimum @austine2020 .

But what are my chances if I go along with cash and all possible evidence? I am just looking for a way out to enable me have my baby there. I can't travel now and return again in june. If I go earlier than I should and I am allowed in based on a vacation only, can I just request for an extension with a doctors report or something? Or if my passport is stamped with 6 months validity, can I just stay since I will have enough time and then i can show all my receipts when leaving?

OMG, I have erred and I really regret this.

It is well sha. Favour will find me.
Madam use your visa for vacation and have your baby in Nigeria.

You were given the opportunity to state whether you are pregnant during the interview and you blew it. Deportation at the Poe is possible and renewing that visa will be a tough call

This sort of discussion will not happen here.

Be honest with your application and stop looking for a way to cheat the system

I think the moniker should be prepared to pay the tuition fees as it applies to the bold at anytime if such surfaced for him or her. Ur inflow plays alot more than your balance. No VO can see beyond d last date on ur SOA. They know u can submit a fat balance today and withdraw tomorrow. Inflow and outflow over time is what matter most. @MichV can bear witness to the guy that got TRV in Just 20days with 1k bal in his account. U can go back to the beginning part of this part 12 to confirm it. There is no harm if u withdraw after printing ur SOA...100% certain of this. but one should be prepared to pay tuition fees incase the bold applies.
This is misleading.

TO THE GLORY OF GOD

Hi justwise

I want to thank justwise and other gurus in the house, I have been able to use the advise from this trend to repackage my application as I was refused last year September.

I submitted my application on the 6th of February. I got a mail on the 7th that my application has been received. On the 15th I got a mail stating that may application was not straight-forward that it will take longer than the normal period to process

On the 24th I got a mail that a decision has been taken on my application and later that day I got a mail that it was ready for collection. .

TO THE GLORY OF GOD, i picked up my passport with my 6 months visa on the 27th of February

Thanks all
Congratulations! Enjoy your trip

Good day justwise, worry357 et all
Thanks for the prompt response.

Please I'm applying for myself, wife and 2 children.

Do I need to fill a separate form for each of them coz I don't have up to 4 different email addresses to register.

What do I fill for the kids and even my wife when it comes to the sections that have to do with finances coz I'm the sole sponsor of the entire trip?

Please why am I to pay extra $ 79 if I choose to do my Biometrics in Ikeja I'm a little lost.
I think you have to fill separate form for them because I don't think you can link them(others can correct this if I'm wrong)

Since you are the sponsor the financial details will be on your form while you use the additional information space to explain that it's a family trip and that you are paying for all.

Put n/a in financial section for kids.

If your wife works fill in her financial details again use the additional information space to state that you will be taking care of everything.

Yes I think you have to pay to use ikeja

You can reapply as soon as you can because in your case you are presenting new evidence to address previous refusal

Morning All.

I'm new here and I must say I've learnt a lot. I've been trying to summarise info from the first thread and gradually I'm getting it.

Thanks to all those who make efforts to provide answers and constructive criticisms.

Here goes my issue.

My son and I have just been issued a B1 / B2 for the purpose of vacation only. My interview went thus

VO: Good Morning, how are you today
Me: I'm good thank you

VO: so why do you wanna go to the US
Me: My cousin whom I haven't seen in over 15 years is inviting us and my husband was there last year, he had a good time and he's promised taking us on a family vac.

VO: tell me about your job
Me: I work as a sales consultant with a travel company in the holidays dept. My core is building travel packages and making travel arrangements for both corporate and individual clients.

VO: How about your husbands job:
Me: he is a banker. He works with x bank in lagos

VO: Have you travelled with your son before:
Me: yes, we were in dubai for vacation last year

VO: Do you intend seeing a doc for any reason: NO

The issue is obvious. ( wish I had been on this forum earlier).

How do I now state at the POE that I wanna give birth in the US since I was issued a visa for vacation purpose only? Will my cash and card and upfront payment be enough as evidence of payments? My cousin/ host is in chicago but the Chicago poe stories I'm hearing are not for the fainthearted at all.

What lifelines do I have? I'm expecting by mid July and I intend leaving at the end of May. Any July moms can also be in touch so we can relate.

Thank you.
Go on vacation as stated and have your baby in Nigeria or elsewhere.

Since you are expecting by mid July you don't have the time to use that visa for child birth and most importantly you were pregnant during the interview and failed to disclose it.

The decision

You have submitted bank statement for ***bank .these shows your salary going in and a balance of *** . This balance is disproportionate to ur stated income once financial commitment have been deducted and it is not clear how you have managed to save over 3 times the opening balance in the reporting period . The bolded part especially is getting me all confused
1. How much was in your bank statement you submitted?

2. What is your salary?

3. What is your monthly financial commitment as stated in the form?
