@prettysolid
Sorry i have to hide your recent post since you found this forum very unhelpful, i take that comment as an insult to many people who log on here on daily basis to help with little knowledge they have or even to encourage visa applicants. They are not paid but doing it to help each other, nobody here is paid to answer your question immediately you dropped it.
You came here last month to ask a question, within 6mins you posted the same question 3times and i answered you from my knowledge,
Now you got your study permit only to come back to bad mouth the forum.
Good luck with your negative attitude. |

Freshest04: Hi everyone, please i need help with planning on ny mother's visit to the Uk. I need her here after my child delivery by March next year. She is currently not working, supported by family. My father is not working either. We are just an average income family. Only landed property is village house and a couple of lands in town (family resides in rented flat). My husband (british citizen) and I are the sponsors for her but I'm worried cos we dont exactly have a tangible account balance. Hubby earns about 2k pounds after taxes per month but account balance is usually wiped by month end. And i earn about 1k.We are definitely able to sponsor the trip and all her maintenance but i'm concerned about looking good on paper. We are looking for how to best prove she has ties and would not resort to working. And by the way, she has not travelled before. Some years back she was rejected uk visa on grounds of insufficient finances when she had a business. But the business is shut down now. We have considered 1) a short trip to dubai 2) paying in significant sum of money each month 3) get her employed Just in totally clueless. Please help!!! 1. No that will not help if she doesn't meet the requirement UK visiting visa 2. Again that will be seen as account building purely for visa procurement 3. Yes that will make a great difference If you and your hubby can comfortably sponsor her then give it a try. |

babybird82: Good evening everyone. Pls my family is meant to be going for summer holidays next year but my husband has just been informed that he will be sent on training around the same time by his company.
My questions are:
1) It's a 5 days training, what will be the visa validity given to him?
2) Can he extend his stay to accomodate the time we will be spending together as a family?
3) Since he will probably already have gotten his visa before we apply, how do we proceed since as he will be a co-sponsor of the trip.
4) I got a 6 months visa in 2013 and travelled twice with it, I spent 5 days and 11 days respectively. This will be my first renewal. Can I go ahead and apply for same 6 months visa as the kids? Kids passports are virgin.
Thanks in anticipation. 1. Probably 6months multiple entry visa 2. That will be almost impossible, very rare will such in-country extension be granted. 3. He will give you all needed documents to attach to your application. 4. You can apply for 6 or 2 yrs it's up to you, then your kids 6 months |

Acidosis: Funny thing is majority of those who liked Seun's posts are parts of the Christian family. Very disgraceful and easily deceived delusional and faithless illiterate Christians who don't know the difference between the right and the left.
At the sound of an irrational post from an atheist, you see them doubting their faith as shown in the likes. Are you actually a christian? |

Fyorgyn: With Brexit...
I'd say EU citizenship is more beneficial...lol. Immigrants living in calais camp for yrs dying to enter the UK will disagree with you. France offered they the opportunity to claim asylum they refused, they landed in Italy but refused to stay there and find their ways to calais camp . The UK is still a member of EU, until we leave in 2-3yrs time then we will know the impact |

Fyorgyn: True Justwise.
I personally feel a child will be whatever a child will be irrespective of where he/she is born. I am not an American citizen neither am I from a wealthy home but I have been really really fortunate with a lot of great opportunities.
However, it's great to give the child the opportunity to have a head start. Being an American (or Canadian) doesn't mean the child will be automatically successful... it just means your child will have things a little easier.
For instance, the child will have an option of getting a job in either country and if the child is a high flier, having dual citizenship is a plus because it takes the stress of applying for visas away which can make the child a more attractive candidate for several opportunities.
One of my American friends is struggling to see why we want our children to be Americans when she is tired of being American...haha. That benefits that child more if he/she is a British citizen |

chibertha: My darlings for me it is for the child to have alternative in life.I work in a sector were experts are highly rated even those with clear Nigeria origin eg I had a collegue that was paid £8000 because she is Nigeria/British (a lady)while her altern ie BTB was paid NGN500 000 (A guy) only Nigerian citizenship Another lady fresh from RSUST after service was employed to manage a branch of her company in Copenhagen because she is Nigeria/British. I can go on an on trust me So my people don't worry you will the benefits sooner than you think even if the child lives and school throughout in Nigeria the benefits can not be over emphasised. I know that does happen but its not very common, in 15-20yrs time being an American or British may not carry a lot of advantage as its today. Studying in US as a citizen is not free, healthcare is not free and if you are working outside US you will still pay tax to US govt. You talked about traveling visa free to other countries but there are countries you will never want to identify yourself as an American or British infact you will be safer to travel with your Nigerian passport. Having an American passport is a plan B, yes i agree but that is one plan B i will not make a priority. I'm saying all these because i have seen how much people spend on this project and the stress they go through to achieve this, lets be honest here..its not always about good healthcare because you can get that elsewhere with your money. That said, i have nothing but respect for parents who are making every effort to make sure that their children have the best of both worlds years ahead. |
