There is a link called "Mentions" at the top of every nairalander's page. every single post in which your username was either quoted or written shows up there... its why people dont write usernames of mods properly when making fun of them... its basically a system of "speak of the Devil, and he shall appear"

I'm quite sure the moderators of the sections can set such alerts to specific keywords, so, the moment they occur, the mod can go directly to that post to see it.. Otherwise, how would mods know who to ban for improper language and stuff? They cant spend the whole day going up and down every single post reading every single comment....

With that said, Make I con find trouble... grin grin

Oga JUSTWISE !!! is my analysis close to the truth? grin grin grin grin grin

Your analysis is millions of miles far from the truth.

I read posts.

Hello please I just checked UK visa web address now and I discovered that to apply for a Tier 5 non-immigrant visa is £230 and I also have to pay for a surcharge fee of £200 which by current rate I think is £1-#800 . please i need someone to educate me on this, from the look of things coupled with the TB test I will be spending up to 325000 in naira for just visa alone..plesse I need clarification on this surcharge fee, the rate I will be charge when paying and if its in dollar or pounds as showm in their website. thanks @justwise plss awaiting your response with other gurus in the house
What exchange rate is that? You £1 is exchanging for 800 naira now?

Yes the surcharge is £200 a year multiple by number of years visa you are applying for

Hopefully i dont get banned today like yesterday , as i am hesitant to comment ...i sent you a pm and you are yet to respond

You just need to take a deep breath and believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel and take control of the situation . If you feel the medication is affecting you negatively , have a review with your family doctor and explain your concern and see if your medication can be reduce or stopped

Regarding out of status . i honestly cannot comment as i have not been in that shoe , however if it was just a sample letter you need . There are samples out there on google (if no one responded in NL) ... Go to the school international office and have a clear understanding (if u dont) , what it takes to get back in status . Write them down and start working on it one by one. .... slowly slowly you can crawl out and get the situation back in control. You just need to take ownership of it all and be willing to be positive . ...

What you need to do is read this thread. If you read, you don't need any other help.

However, if you think you can't do it or you are lazy to do it on your own, we can take up the challenge.

This is going to create a problem in this section, i completely understand the temptation to make money out of this but the moment we start collecting money in exchange for our knowledge the idea behind this thread will be defeated.

People in other threads helping out as you are doing here will also start doing the same and i will not have any justification to stop visa agents here from advertising their business.

Please think about it.

LUCAS99:
It all began in January 2016 when I lost my sponsorship and I decided to take my last semester off from school in order to work and save money to pay off my Fall 2015 semester tuition and Spring 2016 semester tuition for my community college. I was owing the school $4000 for Fall 2015 semester tuition and about $2000 for spring 2016. My status was unfortunately terminated in January. From January 2016-June 2016 I was able to save up $8000. My Last post on June when I came around and ask nairalanders to help me draft a reinstatement letter but no one was able to help. Since then due to circumstances beyond my control as a result of my indecision and wrong advices even though I paid off the balance I was owing the school. I was still unable to apply for reinstatement and as a result I was banned from school. From June 2016-December2016 things have gone from bad to worse. All my documents are expired and the cashiering job is all I have left in America. Since I got involved in an accident I have been declared as suicidal and sent to a rehab and I have been placed on antidepressant medication (lexapro and risperidone) those medication have really messed me up. I can no longer think nor understand what is going in my life. I wake up go to work and come back to sleep. Family and Friends are tired of me. They are like you can always buy your ticket and go back to Africa. I can't go back to Africa. I have nothing left there but at same time I don't want to waste my destiny.

That is not a problem, as long as he has some money in his account to meet the financial requirement.

Please nairalanders I am completely lost in the united states. I have lost all I have worked for the past four years this year. From January-December am still on one thing. Life has left me behind and I am on the verge of being homeless. I have been regarded as suicidal and have been taking some medication. I don't know if the medication played any role in messing up my thinking ability. I have lost touch with reality that I no longer understand what is going on in my life. Some days I wake up and I don't know what to do. Friend's have abandoned me. Family is almost tired of me. After all I went through with my aunty that I lived with back in Nigeria that sells purewater. I can't disappoint her. Please if anyone can help and assist me in giving me directions in life I will appreciate

Good day house. I've been through this wonderful thread and I am I'm still kind of confused. My dilenma is this, my fiancé and I are planning to get married next month. He is in the UK on a tier 5 work visa. He has not worked for up to a year in the UK(so he won't have bank statement for up to a year) I'm supposed to join him next year. Which is advised? A dependent visa or a visitor's visa.
Cc: justwise, frontpagelawyer and other knowledgeable gurus in the house please help!!
A dependent visa..if you want to stay with him, visiting visa if you want to visit and return to Nigeria.

Austria don't offer free tuition fee for international students.

No you have to do it yourself with little help from here and your own research.

Forget about depending on anybody to help your complete a form or some documents, if you are qualified to be issued a tourist visa you will get one.

A regular traveler today was once a first timer, so lack travel history shouldn't be a stumbling block.

Please move this to tourist visa thread, this is student visa thread.

Thank you for your response. So should I include a SOP to the required documents to be submitted alongside the application? I'm thinking of applying this week or maximum next week. Whom do I address the letter to?? Is there an embassy in Nigeria?
Documents I plan to submit include;
Letter of invitation from the MUN conference organisers
My bro's statement of acct and proof of relationship
Travel Itinery
Flight and hotel booking
proof of studentship
passport biodata page
Schengen visa page with travel stamps
SOP
Visa form..
Are there other documents I need to add??
Ehen, another headache I almost forgot to mention is that I had to apply twice before my Schengen visa was approved by the Italian Consulate. My colleagues and I suffered in their hands eeeh. The first time they refused us visas on grounds that they couldnt verify the conference despite the organisers sending them multiple emails on our behalf. They finally called our private phone numbers, apologised rudely and asked that we pay another visa fee. Then they finally granted us the visa. The whole essence of the story is this; will I state on canada's visa form that I have been denied a visa??(saw a question like that on their form)
The conference is a large one and every year over 3,000 students from almost 180+ countries attend it. I just pray the VO will be more reasonable than the one at the Italian Consulate. There's no money to reapply again, not in this time of recession.. the canadian visa processing is looking more expensive sef.

huh
1.Address the letter to Canadian embassy in Lagos or Abuja depending on where you are applying from.

2. Select yes to the question that asked if you have been refused a visa before then state briefly that you were issued later after Italian embassy ratified their mistake

3. You need a letter from your school permitting you to take the trip
