Thank You boss!

I've sent an email to the University already to inquire if the document is needed for the admission/Scholarship selection process or for Immigration after I had secured the scholarship .

It's better to hear it from the horses mouth than go on with the hassle of getting it now.

Thanks Again.
That is the best thing to do.

Good luck though.

Hello guys, I was denied a visitor’s visa to the UK this week. I stated that I was being sponsored by my company for a 10-day holiday. The bank statement provided by the company had a negative balance of about 50 million naira but I was told it wasn’t going to be a problem and that it appeared that way because of a bank guarantee or something of sorts. I had about 500,000 naira in my personal account. I have included an abridged version of the refusal letter. Please I need advice and possible suggestions on the next best steps to take. Thanks

Your application for a visit visa to the United Kingdom has been refused
How your application was considered?
In deciding whether you meet the requirements of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for visitors (https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/immigration-rules), I have considered:
• Your application, and any additional relevant information you have provided with it
• Your immigration history
The decision
I have refused your application for a visit visa because I am not satisfied that you meet the requirements of paragraph(s) 4.2, of Appendix V: Immigration Rules for Visitors because:
You state you will visit the UK for 10 days for tourism. You state you will travel alone and you have no friends or family in the UK.
You state your employer will pay for your visit, however the bank statement provided in the name of *** has a closing balance of -50 million NGN overdrawn and is considerably overdrawn for the entire five month’s bank statement provided.
Given this, I am not satisfied that your circumstances are as claimed. I am therefore not satisfied that you are a genuine visitor and will leave the UK at the end of your visit. Your application for a visit visa has been refused under paragraph V4.2(a) and (c).
As outlined above I am not satisfied that you have sufficient funds available to cover your costs whilst in the UK without working or accessing public funds. Your application has therefore been refused under paragraph V4.2(e).
Future Applications
Any future UK visa applications you make will be considered on their individual merits, however you are likely to be refused unless:
• Your personal circumstances change significantly between now and your next application
• You provide compelling new evidence with your next application
In relation to this decision, there is no right of appeal or right to administrative review.
Even with +50M I don't see you getting a visa with that company's account

Thanks a lot Just wise. Very glad to hear from you.

I didn't see any option that allows me to register my spouse... I thought the GCKEY sign in allows you register only one applicant.

If it's no trouble, can you take me thru the process please.

Thanks.
I have not used that form before so maybe you need to through the paper one for such option.

I think somebody here got a visa as a family? Read few pages back to see if you can see the post.

This form has section for family information http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM5645E.pdf

You guys should hear a person out before shredding the person. Many of the comments I have read now shows that we don't read to understand a person's situation then just massacre the person.

Let's re-read his post less judgmentally and see the learning points inherent in what he is looking for and who it can help later.

Do we have pointers on getting a H1B visa that will enable him work in US legally directly from Nigeria? If his skills are in high demand in US, he should be encouraged to brush his skills, discuss with a few employers/sponsors to seek employment over there during his training period rather than waste away in Nigeria. If accepted, the employer will file all the necessary paperwork to relocate him without him having to 'hustle'. It's all legit

I know of a dude who went for a conference in US on all these nuclear things (he studied physics in school and did masters in Nuclear one thing one thing in UK but came back after studies as per UK law) connected with employers and got offers (his skill is in high demand) Within a year an employer relocated him.

Meanwhile if you study these kind of STEM courses in US, US will strive to keep you in the country by offering 3yrs work permit unlike UK whose looking to throw u out as soon as ur studies are over

LadyG! I sight you peeping!
Hmmm so basically you believed that the op is doing the right thing and going about it legitimately?

Mr. Justwise, Is This certificate used solely for Visa Application and submission to That country's immigration services and not necessarily for admission?
Criminal record certificate are used mostly for immigration and employment purposes, hardly for admission as far as I know

But do you have info as to how I can do it at a less-exorbitant rate?
Unfortunately I don't, have you tried other police stations?

Hello Fellow "travellers",

I'm in a bit of a dilemma and I need your urgent help please.

I'm applying for a scholarship in China and one of the requirement there is that I get a CERTIFICATE OF NON-CRIMINAL RECORD. I went to the police headquarters here in Jos and they were charging me #20,000.

My question is; Can I just go to the Federal High Court here and swear to an affidavit of EXCEPTIONAL CHARACTER OR an affidavit that I'VE NEVER HAD DEALINGS WITH THE POLICE to replace the said certificate above?

Please learned answers please!

CC: Justwise
I'm not sure if that will be acceptable, I think police criminal record will still be required

Hello justwise and other experienced nairalanders

My sister has just been refused visa to Canada, the reason being because of low travel history, My Uncle would have been financially capable of footing her bills while in canada. We had resolved to bolster her travel history by letting her come to the UK to join me, who is currently on a Tier 4 visa to the UK which expires in january 2017. I also have a wife and kid who are still in Nigeria but will join me before my current visa expires when i start my Ph.D program in the same January. Me and my uncle are kind of financially okay to sponsor her. I have three things to ask
I am a Government sponsored student for both MSc and Ph.D but i guess my letter only covers for just me.

1. What is the most recent documentations I need to make this possible for my sister and what to watch out for to avoid refusal based on the review on 6 april.
2. What is the best category of visa to use.
3. For my wife and kid, Can you refer to me a post where someone has been successful for Tier 4 dependency visa and what was done to obtain visa, I have been without both of them and I can do with a refusal of visa for them. Please assist
What is your sister currently doing in Nigeria and what is her age range?

I don't think you will have problems getting dependant visa for your wife..this link will give you the information you need https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/477216/PBS_dependant_guidance_11-15.pdf

Especially the financial requirement section

Hello Justwise and Frontpagelawyer. I have been following the thread for a while. I'll be applying for a General visitor's visa next week. I am a student and naturally, my parents are my sponsor. I will be visiting a cousin who will provide me with the evidence of accommodation. Since my trip is going to be sponsored by my parents, is there any other document I'll be needing from my cousin?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Gurus in the house,

My wife and I intend applying for a canadian visit visa for the purpose of tourism.

We recently travelled to the UK together last summer. This was her first trip outside the country.

I am also a frequent traveller and have been the USA, UK, Dubai and Mauritius on several occassions mainly for tourism.

Please advse on how we should go about our application... via online or paper route?

is it possible for us to apply as a family or the applications are treated individually?

Thanks.

cc justwise, other gurus in the house.
I don't think it makes any difference whether you applied online or offline but personally I prefer online application because it's easier and you will be able to correct mistakes before submitting.

You can apply as a family.

@justwise ... lol..
for Nigeria money na everybody problem...
but she's worried about bringing up the child by herself and as such I'm forced to assist in every way.... also she has only been to Nigeria once so moving to Nija with the baby and leaving her job and mortgage. behind na yawa ....
I'm really in a fix ...
That will surely strengthened her case for the hearing but I don't see them letting you off easily considering how far you went to circumvent the immigration system with your previous applications.

Just pray long and hard that she supports you through out this tough period and your marriage survives it.

Already the question has now turned to admission process and not about how to get cheap universities.

Good afternoon house... What a great job u guys are doing here... well done guys ...

Pls I have a question. ...

few months back (February ) I posted my refusal letter for settlement visa.... if u can recall @justwise and frontpage lawyer....
Reasons for refusal includes that I overstayed my student visa, enrolled and completed my masters degree without the right visa, and other stuffs with relates to u the genuineness of my previous relationship which has been dis
solved. I got into another relationship doing my masters studies. I voluntary returned to Nigeria after my studies last August to do my wedding and also enrol for NYSC....

I have an upcoming appeal slated for a date after 4th august

after the refusal in February my wife gave birth March this year...

Now my question!!!.
I was advised by a friend to put in another application while waiting for t
he appeal from my last refusal.... since I now have a baby and a wife in uk who are both British nationals..

should I wait for the appeal or send in another application with more compelling evidence...My wife goes back to work September this year as she is a teacher....

Pls Ogas and Madams advice me .. Thanks
Considering your serious previous immigration offences I wouldn't advise you to apply again while your appeal is still pending. Since your wife will be going back to work in September and the hearing is August your wife could use that to argue your case during hearing since you will not be attending.

$300 + is a lot of money to gamble with but if money is not your problem then give it a go.

Hello house, @ justwise, regarding the issue of money lodgement, my mum recently trasferred 2m into my account, which was later transferred back into her own account . Aside that, my Soa shows my monthly salary and expenditure. Should i be worried because of d amount my mum transferred into my account

No need to worry about that because the money is not currently in your account and was transferred back.
