He has already sent email to the Irish embassy in abuja telling them about the mistake. He has also cancelled his flight reservation from Ireland to South Africa, and also he has booked a new flight that confirmed Lagos-Dublin-Lagos, so no trip to South Africa again. What do you think? That is the best he can do under the circumstances and also he spotted the mistake early enough |

dotcomnamename: Hi Vicjustice, Justwise and Cozybunch,
Please i need your urgent advice on this.
My brother have been to South Africa twice. He was so happy that his boss at work finally approved his annual leave recently for next August 2016, so he just renewed his South African Visa to another 3 months. He intends to visit Ireland before travelling to South Africa. so today, he just submitted his online Irish Visa application and he stated in his application that he will spend two weeks in Ireland and he will fly from Ireland to South Africa where he intend to spend 4 days, and then return to Nigeria.
But he just realised now that his South Africa visa will not be valid within the dates he claim he will be spending in South Africa.
For instance, he intend to travel from Nigeria to Dublin Ireland on 1 August 2016 and leave Ireland on 15 August 2016 to South Africa. He claims he will leave South Africa on 20th August 2016.
But he just realised now that his South African visa will expire on 8th August 2016. He is really worried that the Irish embassy will refuse his application base on the fact that his South African visa will not be valid for his trip from Ireland to South Africa.
This is what he just did today: He sent email to the Irish embassy in abuja telling them about the mistake. He has cancelled his flight reservation from Ireland to South Africa, he has booked a new flight that confirmed Lagos-Dublin-Lagos, so no trip to South Africa again.
A letter from from inviter in Ireland addressed to Irish embassy stating that she is aware that her visitor will not be travelling to South Africa from Ireland again but will return to Nigeria from Ireland due to the fact that that her visitor just realise that his South African visa will expire on 8th August 2016 and that he wishes to spend part of his annual leave with his family in Nigeria after his visit to Ireland.
Please what do you think he can also do in this situation?
Thanks. I'm not sure that there is much he can do now since the application has been submitted. Hopefully the embassy will not notice the SA visa expiration date |

ZOE07: Hello people, good morning. I was trying to apply for a short term study visa (6 months or less). I started out the application, confirmed, booked appointment and brought me to make a payment for IHS. After inquiry from others, I was told I am not meant to pay for IHS as I have selected the wrong visa type while applying. Every time I log in back to my account, it takes me back to the IHS payment page and there is no button to cancel my application. Please what do i do? Have you tried starting a new application? |

dave07: Thank you sir, will look into it, am not just a fan of seating long in airports in the name of connecting flight. I also saw Medview now runs a direct flight to LGW airport. Anybody's got any experience on this route? @justwise, you are sure doing a good job on this forum though I hate to admit you let the pressure get to you at times, but you still remain one of the more rational mods on NL, just try and understand imperialebony &phardy view points. Even in the most perfect human system, imperferctions can still be spotted and this include the UK system. Furthermore both of you (justwise and imperialebony) are providing good counsels on this page, pls let there be no bad blood biko. I don't think i agree or disagree with phardy's view point on the case, the outcome of the recent application will clear it out. As for imperialebony ...i can't stand it when people for some reasons start misleading people with no fact to back that up. Whatever your opinion of the UK or immigration policies is is not about my business really but opinions should not be taken to be fact. |

imperialebony: @ justwise, I've been following some people's post here very closely and I'm so sure you too have been replying them when they sought your advice, up to the last guy who said his mum was refused on the grounds that the ECO said the cert of Inc she submitted was fake. I advised the poor guy, not even knowing he had done the affidavits, even paid hugely to CAC before he could get a confirmation letter from them addressed to the eco...that the cert of Inc was not fake, as the ECO claimed...so, what would you say of that? I was moved by the plight of that guy just to ensure justice prevails. Obviously, they just used an excuse of fake cert of Inc to refuse her. The guy also confirmed to you in one of his replies that CAC said no embassy ever contacted them, contrary to the ECO's claim that they contacted CAC...did the woman not meet requirement? Please tell me because that's the reason she was refused and she had good travel history, according to her son who had been seeking people's advise here for days. if you're still in doubt of what I said about UK, read this http://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/may/25/vote-to-leave-eu-will-condemn-britain-to-irrelevance-say-historians. And if still in further doubt, click here http://www.theweek.co.uk/eu-referendum. I hate it when somebody would just wake up and tell me I'm wrong, without putting my hypothesis to test first. Do a research before you attack me next time bro. It's not fair. We're all here to learn and I do believe people also need our advice based on our wealth of experience too . Dude you are just make allegations on something we know very little about, the ECO might have carried out their own investigation about the business before stating that the business is not hers. We don't know the whole story neither do we know what she submitted but you keep going on about how they refuse people visa falsely. The U.K. Referendum of EU was not because they were asked to take some refugees as you falsely stated before. The referendum issue was an election promise far before the refugees crisis. The U.K. Economy is not in crisis again as you wrongly pointed out. Nobody is attacking you but avoid misleading people even when the fact is everywhere. |

OjaP: You banned him simply because he was adding people to a particular Facebook group; my post was about his visa approval (no similarity). Whether he instructed me to post or not is inconsequential.
My post was for other people to learn from his successful interview, and that should supersede any type of ban since it is going to be to the benefit of the thread, and the Nairaland Forum as a whole.
And you actually quoted the 50 years ban? Where is your sense of humor? It's definitely consequential because you posting what he has written is as good as him posting it himself. His interview transcript does not supersede no jack! A ban is a ban. He was busy diverting traffic to Facebook while we have the same group here in trave section and Education. I pointed out this to him last September but he constantly keep asking people for email addresses to add them up then he was banned, he emailed me and asked for the ban to be reduced but I unbanned him. Now few months down the line he was at it again leaving me with no choice. Yes I quoted that 50yrs comment because here in nairaland if you don't dispute inaccurate info then people take it to be true. |

The report I'm getting from those who have applied recently in this forum are not palatable...including those who met all the requirements . That's not to say people should stop applying. I never discouraged anybody but only advised them...those instances mentioned in my post are real and verifiable. My people are all over there. They met all requirements by whose standard? Yours? Your statement about the UK economy and the refuges issue couldn't be more inaccurate. |

CiscoChic: Major my parents but I own a portion.
So I'm assuming nothing can be done to get the visa due to what I currently earn even if I have a letter of sponsorship from my parents and a letter of invitation from the family I'm going to visit.
Can stocks/bonds work? You know exactly what the problem is. Your earning is your strongest tie to Nigeria. stocks/bonds may help if you liquidate them and turn them to cash in hand. |

imperialebony: My friend, please tell mama to avoid uk, at least for now. They're pretty mad with visa now. UK ko rogbo rara bayii. They are mad with their current dwindling economy. The move by Nigerian government and others are making to repatriate the huge stolen funds in their care, which they always trade with, will worsen their economic situation soon. When most of the EU countries were busy taking refugees, UK refused because they're sick economically. They even threatened to bark out of the EU at some point because others accused them for refusing refugees(though uk has deliberately chosen to be a nominal member all along). The fact remains that, they now look for irrelevant stuffs to refuse people visa now, especially those applying from developing countries like Nigeria. Today, they deported more Nigerians. In the next 10 years, the whole world will pity UK because they only live make-belief lives. They're finished! For details of about the Nigerians deported today, please click this link http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/05/40-nigerians-deported-uk-australia-immigration-offences. Or copy it and paste on your browser. I have a cousin whose papers were overdue for renewal but they refused to renew it. I also know a couple of other guys like that in same situation. This wasn't the case the past. You could even walk to central London like a queen without a paper before and nobody would challenge you. Now, our people can't try it. They always hide in the toilet once they visit their offices for random search of illegal residents working in their country. Once they get them, it's muritala straight!. What more can I say, I used to have a neighbour who once travelled to the uk as a student and after graduation, no job. He embarked on the second master's degree, still no job upon completion. Now, he's back home, hustling. He's getting better now as he's doing his own business...not many nigerians in same situation would take such a wise but risky decision. I was at TLS sometimes to submit my documents. The last time I ever applied was in 2013 and it was at VFS oregun then. I wanted to renew, there I spotted 1 pretty lady who used to be my auntie's neighbour in the uk. She schooled in the uk but no job so she came back home. She called me leta as we exchanged numbers. When I heard her story, I pitied her. She actually got the TLS job from the UK. They're not paying her much though. She can still make do because she's not going to pay unnecessary taxes at home. Please my friend, I'd advise you just tell your mum to take it easy for now. Tell her to keep calm. She can reapply after six months. She should buttress her claims with all the letters written by the relevant agencies that confirm she's the rightful owner of those documents they claimed were fake. And to all potential students here in my opinion, if you can find your way into any of the Canadian universities, you stand a brighter chance of getting a good job after you finish. But if you must apply to uk, pls I'm not discouraging you, neither am I saying you won't get your visa...and to potential visitors, if you don't have compelling reasons to visit uk,don't waste your money. you may try Yankee. It's easier to get their visa now, unlike before. Their visit visa B1/B2 is now 2 years multiple entry...unlike when I used to apply in early 2000s a they would issue 3 months single entry. I was issued 3 months single entry visa twice, the first was on a virgin passport...my first visa for that matter, in October 2004. And to those seeking a vacation or honeymoon, dubai is a place to be. They don't refuse visa and you'll enjoy your hard-earned money to the fullest .I hope my long explanation and advice will lay this prolonged matter to rest. Cheers You are so wrong that i don't even know where to start highlighting, this is simply inaccurate. I still don't know the UK you are referring or where you get your info from. |

You have stated on your application that you are single and are employed as a sales engineer and earn N40,000 (£137.82) per month. As evidence of this you provides an employment letter 2. Although you state your trip to the United Kingdom will be financially supported by your parents, I have to take into consideration your personal and financial circumstances in Nigeria. you have not provided evidence of income.
