DivineKid: Thank you so much sir for your interest in my case. I'm definitely for real, however, I'm a bit wary of uploading my personal documents here. I have sent you a pm. Please reply to the pm and I'll provide you with all the documents to validate my claims. Thanks again for your interest. I'd be very happy to send as many evidence to proof that I'm for real. Yes you can post it here, blank your first or last name, DOB and physical address then post the scholarship letter here. Do this quickly if you really want to proof that this is not another scam. |

whao: I am extending the gesture to the lucky persons which are to go with staff on the 5th of July but since you don't reason well but to attack some one then go on. You think the NGO will just accept the people just that like that without serious investigation of the persons I will bring on board? This is not a small NGO my friend, Anyway the last date was today for documentation and the lucky one's have submitted their required documents. Dude you really can't help yourself, can you? An NGO is looking for a complete stranger to send to US for training and pay them $3000 after the training? You did not see anybody from your family, relatives, friends even from your village to take advantage of such wonderful opportunity and you have to come to nairaland to get somebody? |

Acos925: Good job all the gurus.
Please need some basic information regarding working and also studying in UK. I already had my MSc in OAU and with a NEBOSH certificate in occupational health and safety which is accredited in UK.
Am planning to enrol in one of the university in UK for my PhD and currently searching via ukpass.com.
Please what chances do I have regarding studying and also working with my certificate? Also do I need any form of Test of English before I can apply since I had all my academics both BSc and MSc in English
thanks You will be able to study and work but you are likely to work within the school.e.g summer exam invigilation, project monitor, summer admission processing etc. The decision to write and English language test or not will be made by the university after going through your admission application |

whao: What do you mean same person/gang trying to get some victim? This job is not asking anybody for any dim but the NGO selects who they want from several CV's sent to them. They intend to recruit more soon for a major project. Anyway if you have a doubt why dont you check the email i posted. I expected you to caution people and not to discourage them. It could be some ones success who needed a job. i have gone through your topics and am impress for your work of enlightening people on ways to success in relation to traveling, i then posted on your comment thinking am helping any one who intend to travel too, what i wanted doing is for any one who intend traveling to meet with them, no money is to be paid till they secure their visa, flight ticket before paying but i just have to make sure the persons have the money to pay aftermath.
My brother, i am not what you think please, i respect my prestige and personality. Anyway keep the good work you are doing. You are just heartless you know that? The same NGO that wants to send two people to US for training sponsored by 'donors' and pay them $3,000 after training? Just random people? How do you sleep at night? |

1-3 months is okay. This is one of the numerous occasions the VO has said this: abujaniv: Hello Sayfolksy,
We recommend you book early for an appointment. You do not need any documents - the officers rarely look at documents. You will need to convince the officer that you have strong ties to Nigeria.
Regards, Nigeria Visa Team All the VOs here have said it over and over again. |

brawnmoney: Yes!, three months old statement is cool with the fact that it's genuine. Infact psychologically older statement has upper hand than new one, it's assumed that you're a serious student. The likely question, and answer is:
V.O; Your statement looks old Y.A: Oh yeah, my Dad gave it to me before he left for his trip to Europe. V.O: Oh really? Y.O: Yes ma'am/Yes Sir. V.O: When is he coming back? Y.A: He will be back before my travel to the US.
Remember Americans do like too much Talk. >>>Best of lucks! ..and you are pretty sure that that is how the interview question will turn out? What do you think that might have happened to that bank account since the bank statement was printed 3months ago? |

brawnmoney: Ease your mind brother, they may not even ask you as mentioned by brother (dickoflife), But if them ask: tell them your wife and you has been managing your laundry business for the past 7 years, with your absences you're very certain that she could manage it efficiently. I'll also advice you to go for MFM Power must change hand program, do it Fire Fire! Its funny how you managed to say those two in the same sentence. Its not hard to see why Nigeria is in a mess despite numerous churches in Nigeria and number of people that call the name of God daily. |

NairaSea23: I've been thinking about this for sometime now. My family is not going with me for two reasons, 1. My wife is obviously pregnant and 2. Her place of work won't give her leave considering the fact that she will soon take her maternity leave. So in this case what should one say If face with the question why living your family behind?
I have ask the the international student office to include them as dependents in my I 20 but they said no need since they are not going for interview with me, that they will be issued with F2 I 20 when they are ready to go for their interview. Is this ok? If asked tell them exactly that! You have a very genuine reason to leave them behind. Don't try to lie or cooked up stories. |

worry359: Be very careful
On 24 June 2014, the Home Office also temporarily froze the allocation of CASs at University of Bedfordshire They have a bad reputation for Visa problems.
Do plenty of research first. Also remember that the reputation will follow with certificates. Employers do not want people from fake schools. That ban was lifted the same year, they have tightened up abit now. There are a lot of Nigerians in that school, they may not have good ranking but they have modern facilities and expanding very rapidly. |

chupcake: Hey everyone, thanks for the help so far. I will be leaving for the UK next week. This is my first time traveling at all so it all seems a bit overwhelming. I will be traveling through the gatwick airport. I guess I just need advice is all. From pre-departure to arrival and everything in between. My brother is coming to pick me up from the airport. Am I allowed to pack food and if yes, what am I allowed to pack. What else will I need? How much is sufficient to have with me? If you can think of anything else that can help apart from the above question, pls add. I feel like I am going into unknown territory and it feels somehow. Thanks in advance.
Cc justwise Travel with the same bank statement or current one containing your maintenance money and some cash..500-1000 is not bad for a start. There is no need carrying too much clothing or shoes as you are likely to get better ones here. Use the space for clothing and shoes for food stuff like garri, pounded yarm and oil people have mentioned those here and i know some friends who ere able to travel with those. Your brother will educate you better since he is in the system already. |
