@justwise the link does not really answer my question..let me rephrase
my partner is almost done with his studies and am applying to schools to study...do I have to apply for a student visa?

Yes you have to since your partner is almost done with her studies, if you apply for dependant visa you will be given less than a year or as little as you partner has left on her own visa.

Hello house. So I'm going to do my Mres in the UK this September. I was wondering if there are possible routes of attaining settlement towards the end of my studies without marriage. I know the rules are more stringent but i have been to the UK before and i like the environment and people. Please i will appreciate honest comments. Thanks.
Only if you are lucky to get a job otherwise its almost imposible.

One more question please. I have a friend who previously did a masters in the UK. Do you think it's possible for him to get another visa for a second masters?
He can't do another masters, it has to be a course higher then masters level

If universities allow this to happen then they will feel the pain. The govt will make a u-turn after year when the income from foreign students start dropping like bag of potatoes

Good evening NLanders!! Justwise, worry357, spikesc and other lovely U.K diasporans tongue

I have a cousin who also happens to be a Nairalander, i am bringing this here for her to get other opinions and stop disturbing me grin
She'd soon be making her U.K student Visa application and then this news of foreign students leaving the country after studies dropped, she has been on the phone with me all evening crying cause she said she really wanted to stay back and work. i already told her to worry less cause by the time she has completed her four years in the U.K something else must have come up, i know i am very bad at motivating someone, LOL. She really can't go to any other country now cause
1)She has family in U.K and this might help settle her in fully well..

2)She already paid half of the tuition fees, everything for her Visa application is ready.

I just need you guys to say something positive to her, let her see the light at the end of that tunnel. I know some peeps are also in her shoes, so i guess whatever you guys tell her will also calm some spirits down..

Thanks smiley smiley
How old is your cousin?

Thanks @justwise,but pls I need a break down of all, I want to know the certainty of the blue collar jobs and salary structure, and there re other personal questions I would love to ask.I don't mind if you can answer my questions here or direct message me your personal line to call you pls. And @sabrinatravels too
Let me repeat this again...you will be scammed if you keep going like this, sabrinatravels is a visa agent with more than one ID here and from my observation since he started using the current ID he can't be trusted. Read this thread for any info you or ask OPENLY here, there are still few honest people here who will give you honest answer if you are interested in hearing the truth.

Good luck though

On their refusal letter, it states that the decision is not up for appeal or administrative review. Should i also add that they still have my passport as well
Yes appeal is completely out of it but that doesn't stop you from emailing them to clarify that OR reapply and use the opportunity to attach supporting documents to clear your name.

Dear Mr Moderator, lets stop arguing. Just accept the truth, the only thing you and i should be concerned about is the safety of nairalanders and any other people outside the forum.
Remember there is a tranding topic you had an argument with a nairalander too who claimed he mentioned the name of his agent and you deleted it off, and remember the guy told you he was telling you the truth about where and how he got his own dubai visa through an agent.
Thats the bottom truth, airline don't involve themselves in hussling visas or employment visas. Go and research with them, Emirates office is @ Lekki, just beside Canada VFS door, i go for Canadian submission almost everytime bro, and i make friends with the girls working @emirates. They don't risk doing employment visa or hussling visa. What they do is business visa (14 days), & tourist visas (1 month). Risking doing it means OYO for the airlines or the hotels because if the clients never exit out of UAE, they WILL, i repeat, they WILL pay a heavy fine. Nigerians in UAE who have turned themselves to agents in other to assist fellow nigerians & also make a living out of it are the only ones who can take that risk. please go and research it sir. regards

Interesting...so if an airline can not do it without those conditions how then will you be able to do it?

What can you do that an airline is unable to do?

...most times, truth is bitter. Anyway, 1m is N140K while 3m is 240k.

No airline, i repeat, no airline, not Emirates nor Etihad Airlines will NEVER ever procure a visa for you if you don't fulfil some requirement. You must have a travel history from countries like UK, U.S,Canada or Schengen, else, you would be required to make a deposit (like a Fine) which would be retained if you default.

Bad people have spoilt everywhere, so the safety concern is understood.

Hello Moderator, the 150k and 250k for 1m and 3m visa respectively has included the visa processing fee charged by the UAE govt, the service charge by the Nigerian agent in UAE and my service charge. I must be truthful that my service charge is so minimal.

Reputation and integrity is very important. I know a lot of people have been frauded in Nigeria and even all over the world simply because the UAE govt refused to establish a physical embassy in every countries of the world. If this topic is like the USA or Canada or UK topic, i would never have mentioned any amount but since it isn't, i think its my responsiblity that fellow nairalanders be orientated and enlightened to avoid scams.

Any question is welcome. Regards all.
What I want to know is the actual visa cost and not your charge or UAE charge.

....and please no agency activities here, we don't exchange money for services/information here

1month visa ( cannot be extended) is N150k while 3months visa is N250k. Accommodation is $200USD, Ticket is minimum of N115k, Job hunting minimum is N90k, you must hold some money for your survival pending the time you get a good job @ least $500USD.

Now,depending on whether you want to procure a 1m or 3m visa, you need to do the calculation yourself.

If you arm yourself with enough money, you would never regret going to UAE for hussling.
Is that the agency fees or the actual cost of visa?

Thanks guys for the response. I'm a frequent traveller and was even in the uk as recently as early this year, i would not jeopardize my travel chances by doing something as flimsy as that. and Yes i made the trip to nigeria. I even had some official stuffs done during that period. My problem is the consular officer obviously did not take the pain to obviously look through my passport to see a re-entry stamp into UK after the trip to nigeria. There's no reason to come to this forum and lie about my situation. Its even alien to me that people would actually get stamps and all that. Ive never heard that before .
Apply for AR if it's not too late and add your ticket number, your record will still be with the airline, so they can verify that.

Hi guys,
I was recently denied a UK visa by the british embassy for allegedly fraudulently obtaining an immigration stamp on my passport. The said passport has also been impounded. i'll summarize the main part of the story below
I had gotten into UK from another country(legal residence here), spent a couple of weeks, came down to nigeria, spent a month, went back to the UK spent a few days before returning to that country. These events happened over 2 yrs ago
However my refusal is based on the premise that i never made that trip to nigeria. that i had instead spent the entire time in the uk before that return trip to that country. It claims that the Nigerian entry immigration stamp as such was fraudulently obtained. They have therefore denied me visa on this basis and seized my passport as a result.
It should be noted i had been granted Visa after those trips by the UK embassy but was applying for a renewal.

Any ideas what to do next would be very helpful.
Did you actually made that trip or you gave your passport to somebody to be stamped entry and exit from Nigeria?

while everybody is entitle to their thesis about Nigeria Vs Abroad, the problem here is simple. Most Nigerian are not patriotic and are cowards. The situation in Nigeria is the result of the aforementioned. most of us will not do the things we do abroad as stepping stone. Eg, no body will do security to earn feeding money then attend school to obtain higher degree. Nobody will clean old peoples ass to earn Nursing degree. Nobody will work in a Mc D. All these are what things most ppl do when they arrive US initially. until we start doing things in order, life will continues to be hard for black people PERIOD. Oyinbos love their land and will not run when things are not going smooth. they will face it and over come their issue. How many recession has passed in US? every ten years, US experiences recession, you don't see them running for the airport like black ppl do
Let me ask you this: are security guards in Nigeria paid enough to be able to sponsor themselves for a degree course, rent and bills?

Are those Nigerians working in places like sweet sensation earn enough for a degree course, bills and rent?
