Family › Re: I'm I being rude to my mother Inlaw. by justwise(m): 7:40am On May 16, 2015 |
de2oye: I am a Yoruba man and I got married to an Ebira lady from Kogi state about six years ago. The marriage has been blessed with 2 sons. We lived happily together in the same city while my mother Inlaw lives in another part of the same city, as such we used to visit her together occasionally.
Sometimes last year, my wife told me she want to go and visit her mother Inlaw and I permitted her to go. Accidentally, I had a an unusual call from my office and I decided to branch and join my wife there since my office is just a stone throw from my Inlaw's place. I didn't inform my wife. As I got there, I requested for her phone to enable me make an important call since I've run out of power on mine. She was reluctant to release the phone and I could easily deduced that all is not well. That makes me go further and I to check her chat history. I was amazed and find it difficult that my wife of six years is having an affair with a much younger guy she's older than for at least five years. She started begging me that she can explain, explain what?. I was totally disappointed and confused, I left the place immediately and told her not to even bother coming to my own house again. The funniest thing was that I know this particular guy to be our Neighbour and he used to come to our house and I do give him money at times because he's a student. While all this was going on, the mother Inlaw was not around.
I decided to call her on phone and tell her what happened because the father inlaw was out of the country as at the time of the incidence. The woman pleaded that I should come back and I obliged, the first thing she did that really surprised me was that she started talking to her daughter in their local language known fully well that I don't understand a bit of it and both of them can speak both Yoruba and English fluently. What could she be telling her daughter after I showed her the chat history because I didn't release the phone since that's d only evidence I have against her. I was really angry and rose, I frankly told her that when she's ready to talk to me I will come back, she realized her mistake and refuse to allow me to go. I later left her there and decided to tell the father on phone. He pleaded that I should please allow her back into my house with d kids and I allowed them back only because of the innocent kids and the fact that I respected the man so much. Since then, we 'be never be in good terms again; I mean myself and the mother because she's not happy with the involvement of the father. I decided not to go to their house again except if the father is around.
About 2 months after, the father was around and he tried to settle the whole issue and I decided to let go. To worsen the situation, there was a particular day I went to their house on my way back from office, I was with my mother Inlaw and I asked about one of her relatives who was sick, the answer she gave me was that she didn't know his whereabout which I know she's lying and still keeping the malice. Since then I stopped going there and I have made up my mind not to ever visit her again. Kindly advise, I'm I wrong here? Complete BS!, I think you are a cheat as well, married for 6 years with 2 kids and she cheated for 5 years with a neighbour you know, you took her back and now focus your anger on MIL rather than your cheating wife and possible father of those 2 kids? Call me a cynic but you got a lot to hide. |

This is not my first visiting visa and does not that to jeopardize the application. I'm sorry but he is wrong, he lives in the UK and not Nigeria. you can't use his Nigerian contact because of the embassy wants to contact him are they going to call him in Nigeria to speak with who? Were you working when you got your previous visa? |

Where?
Nowhere. Are you afraid of those statistics? Number of SA living with HIV as compared to Nigeria? Now you are banging on about death figure. |

DieVluit: On the contrary, you do need to be educated on this point. Nigeria leads the world in AIDS deaths.
http://allafrica.com/stories/201407280986.html
Also, Nigeria has the highest number of AIDS related deaths, globally, in 2013. The country is closely followed by South Africa with 13 per cent, and India with eight per cent. (quote)
___
Lots of other stats that I needn't share because the point is made. Dude you can only fool yourself....this is from that link The report stated that Nigeria has the second highest number of people living with the disease, with nine per cent of the 35 million persons living with the virus by the end of 2013. South Africa tops the chart with 18 per cent. Nigeria is also second to South Africa with 16 per cent as the countries with the highest number of the 2.1 million new HIV infections that occurred in 2013. |

LeSudAfricaine: i laiugh when you people keep yapping about HIV as if it's exclusive to South África, Nigeria's HIV statistics don't exactly make for good reading and I bet you don't even know them but here you are foaming at the corners of the mouth talkng nonsense! If you were well informed you would have known that because of the policies of Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi, SA is gradually winning the war on HIV, new infections are declining....you would"nt know that hey villager? I know Nigeria HIV figure is high, I don't need your education on that, but HIV is to SA what 419 is to Nigeria. |

LeSudAfricaine: You've written a lot, but pretty much say nothin' you basically repeat the same thing over and over again
You have no business in telling South Africans they have a problem, we are a problem in our own country not in Vietnam, Malaysia, indonesia etc face that problem first before telling other people, You live in a glass house don't throw stones
It's funny how you take "iisolated ncidents "and make them the norm, Sure your friends took out some cheap floozies out, so what? Does it now mean our women now prefer Nigerian men? Not by a long shot, Women who marry Nigerians are looked down upon, not only by men but by the South African society in general and that's fact!
And please stop feeding me this vídeo nonsense, I unlike you do not study South África for a living, I live in SA, I'm South African, you can't possibly understand the country more than I do This sort is comment is the main issue, this is like saying that getting married to a South African is like death sentence because you are more likely to die of HIV. |

PunkyOh: "Severing" ? Kikiki. I don't drink, btw
Noone is hiding the fact that SOME South Africans are Xenophobic or how would we explain the attacks on foreign nationals. I actually had a conversation with a Ghanaian friend of mine about the article I just posted & he asked what I thought about it. I'll tell you what I told him. I told him that, at one point or another, most South Africans were Xenophobic. Myself included. Hell, I have family members who are still xenophobic to this day. But it's each & every single individual's dragon to slay. Meaning, you learn to overcome it as you allow yourself to interact with people. I even likened it to someone saying they don't like cheese even though they've never tasted it before. Until you taste all different kinds of cheese, your dislike for it will still remain baseless. By tasting it, you're opening yourself up to find one that agrees with your palate.
As I write this today, I'm not going to sit here & lie & say I like all foreigners because I don't. Personally I get along well with Ghanaians. It's a hit or miss with others. However, I don't like Somalians, Pakistanis & the lot of them from the Asian countries. I don't dislike them because they're foreigners but because of how they are as individuals. My dislike stems from interactions with the said people & not out of some unfounded phobia I sucked out of my thumb. Even with that said, it still doesn't mean I dislike ALL Somalians etc because I don't. I only couldn't careless about the ones who show characteristics that I associate with Somalians, through my interactions with them. I hope you get what I'm trying to say here. This post here is probably the only honest and credible post I have ever read from you. At least I know where I stand with you. |

I used the information I got here to apply for my two(2) years visa and I just got it today. However, when I opened my documents, I realised that a sensitive document like the Confirmation of my appointment ISSUED by my employer was not returned to me. My question is how can I retrieve the document? the document is very important and I wonder why they missed sending it back with other official documents I submitted. Pls house, how can I get this back? do I need to write or visit Teleperformance on the issue? or do I need to write the embassy and intimate them of the issue? All suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Email the embassy and ask for those documents especially the appointment letter |

A decision has been made on your UK visa application. Your application will be despatched within 48 hrs. If anyone contacts you advising that your application is still under consideration or that they can influence the outcome of your application in any way, please disregard as they cannot. You should not expect to receive any further notification from this office.
Kind regards,
Lagos Visa Section
I'm nervous because the message is harsh, has anyone gotten this exact message and still issued Visa? Almost every applicant get the same email, you will know the outcome when you pick up your package |

SisterCaro: it has been declared that the situation has been stabilised. Do u forbid people to go to the world trade centre because it was bombed on 9/11? You are nowhere near SA and you dont know the current situation is it not showing the utmost ignorance to keep talking about something u know nothing of on your behalf? Honestly!
Seriously majority of your live from paycheck to paycheck until Jesus Christ comes reach 30yrs living abroad and still live under someone else's roof. Die have people back home pay for your body to be sent back home.
While those fortunate enough to get mortgages live to pay up that debt and have nothing else to show for after years over slavery in the West. But tell me has any of these hardships your face daily as African men in Western countries stopped you from encouraging others to come over and suffer the way you do? No!
Stop acting like the credit agreements many of you live on but barely can afford are anything better.
Yes SA has its challenges but at least most foreign nations who make it out here , still have something to show off for their hard labour. But are you guys in a better situation simply because u live in Western countries where no one on NL can see your enormous unpaid debts you have to keep up with on you average salaries until Christ comes? really doubt that Stop talking nonsense, i have been to SA more than once, i lived in Zimbabwe for more than 3yrs and we do our shopping in SA when Zim starting going down and shops are empty. Comparing 9/11 to what happened in SA is pure ignorant, in SA a community was attacking foreigners encouraged by their king and Zuma's son while in 9/11 was one-of terrorist attack that killed both foreigners and Americans. Saying that people are living from pay cheque to pay cheque shows how little you know about jack, who told you that everybody in the west lives like that? Its a shame to hear a South African calling another African a slave, this is the same people who were born as slaves, brought up by their slave masters and still largely been supported by their slave masters. |

SisterCaro: the areas attacked where those were majority had an illegal status and thats the point i have put across. It was never directed at foreigners in Sandton or Centurion( where most of them would have legal status) it was in areas were you will mostly find those living illegally in SA. They attacked Africans living in those areas...illegal or not... they are the easy target |
