JADESOLA15: Hi guys, I have bn going through the comments on here and i must say that you guys are superb. I need you guys to help me with this, I was denied UK visa last year August cos the VO felt he was not convinced that I can sustain myself while in Uk and that I will return home after the visit that was sponsored by my employer. Then my salary was not fantastic, shortly after that refusal I was promoted to Head of Foreign Trade Unit of my company with basic salary of 150,000, official car, 10k recharge card monthly, free Accommodation and other freebies. Fast forward to 2015, I was given shengen business visa and in March I visited Italy, France and Germany on official assignment to negotiate for machineries, but my passport was only stamped in and out in Frankfurt. Now a company in UK is manufacturing Machines for us in Kent, and the company has mandated me to go to UK to see these machines as Head of Foreign Trade. My question is what are my chances? The UK company has sent IV letter to my company. I have so many heavy transactions/transfer in my personal account bn payment for personal runs I'm doing aside the company to make hustle pay. My company has a policy of giving managerial position salary through issuance of cheque and not payment into a particular account. How do I explain this in my application? I also help some companies in China to source for customers in Nigeria, and they have paid me 1000usd, 975usd and 800usd as my commission in the last few months. I also work as a consultant with a firm in Abuja here, and they pay me per hour, at times I get 50k in a month,a times 60k etc. can I add this information considering it is an official assignment? I equally have a salon that I opened before I applied last year, but it just started bringing good money, even though salon is registered but no account for the salon, I use my personal account presently. I'm married with a kid, and my wife works with PWC. Kindly advice please on how to go about this. Thanks in advance You stand a better chance this time around because your situation has changed from the last time you applied. Apply with your salary account, payslip, documents from the UK company and your company's supporting documents. If i missed anything then ask. |

zoomzu: The Gurus in the house, your guide is humbly solicited on my application. I was refused U.K visa in 2013. My cousin who is a Briton invited me. All my papers were genuine but was refused on the basis that I did not explain the basis of some fund I deposited in my account towards filling that application. I earn 100k per month. I was investing on housing project then so money don't really stay in my account until towards the filling of the application.
I was given an appeal option but did not bother to appeal because my leave would have lapsed by the time the visa would be given.
Now, my office is sponsoring two Of us to a (5 days conference, all expenses paid by the office including, conference fee, hotel with DTA of 300USDollar per day. My question now is that
1. Are we to put our documents together in one envelope. All payments were made by the office with single receipts with our names jointly written on them for the conference and Hotel.
2. We have combined reference letter from the office.
3. We have single office Bank Statement. 4. Do we need to include photographs of official engagements, group photographs with VIP's we work with. 5. Do we have to include other personal documents (for a married man like me with kids) 6. I have personal savings account apart from my salary account though I do not have much balance in it but huge amount of money comes in and out often for supply business I does.
Please, I need your guide. God bless as you take your time to help. 1. Yes you can file all the application in one envelop but you have to apply individually the same day so as to get the same submission date. 2. Your office can give each person a copy of the reference letter or make a photocopy of one for each applicant 3. Same with Q 2 4. Yes you can do that. 5. Not necessarily but your salary account and payslip need to be included, including other materials you mentioned will not harm your application. The most important aspect here is the space for additional info in the form, use that to explain that you are attending a conference with your colleagues sponsored by your company and mention names of those your colleagues traveling with you, each person need to do the same so as to link the applications, giving conflicting info in the form will not help your application. You and your colleagues need to seat together and do the application so as to provide the same info. Apart from your personal details all other info will be the same including cost of the trip and how much available for the trip. |

Crich: Hello house, I do not want this to seem a burden for you to read but pls, do calm down and read it. It's a real life situation, and I need input of experienced persons. Your response will be appreciated, negative or positive.
Personal profile: 31, engaged to be married, 7yrs work experience, MBA in Nigeria(I need one more degree from either US or Canada. Already gained admission for a 2yrs Leadership course to cap up my academic qualifications cos I'm looking ahead to higher leadership positions plus being an employer), just got a new job last month.
Last year, i made a trip to the U.S. on vacation. Few days to my departure from the States, there was the Ebola virus outbreak. Out of scare, my family who resides here in Nigeria advised I stayed back till it subsides. I took their advice. While i waited, i decided to apply for my Masters degree program(i planned to return to the States after getting my F1 visa in Nigeria which would be after my vacation but then, the Ebola outbreak changed everything).
I gained admission and the school advised i applied for a change of status from B2(visitor) to F1 visa. My admission was deferred for this reason. My change of status application was submitted way before the expiration of my 6months stay but the response from U.S. Immigration services came after the expiration. I could not leave the States during the processing because by my understanding of the U.S. immigration policy, it says once such application is made, no travel was allowed.
Unfortunately, I was denied the status change due to the fact that the gap between my 6months expiration and the school start date was 35days instead of a maximum of 30days (no fault of mine). I was advised to appeal and given a letter by the school, stating all the immigration laws to my advantage but i did not adhere to that because my long stay was impromptu, I wanted to come back home to my family and fiancé, and also as not to incur unlawful presence which was already accumulating due to the late response from US immigration department.
Based on these, I returned to Nigeria immediately where i applied for an F1 but was denied and given a 5yrs ban from entering the U.S. by the Visa Officer without giving me a chance to explain. Now, I intend to apply next week. School session is this September.
My questions are: -will this affect my Canadian study permit? -if I apply, should state clearly, then US ban and the situation? -if yes, should I submit docs from the US immigration of the status change denial, and the school's notice of appeal letter I was meant to submit? (So as not to be accused of misrepresentation and concealing of information when they eventually find out from the US database) -should I go through paper or online route of study permit application?
Thanks Unfortunately you got the timing wrong but you haven't done nothing wrong by trying to convert from B2 to F1, its not against the immigration law. Feel free to apply for Canadian student visa and explain the situation with those documents you have, waste no money on immigration lawyers they will only suck you dry while time ticks. First concentrate on meeting the student visa requirements then in addition explain the situation with US student visa issue. 5yrs ban by US does not mean that you will not be given Canadian visa as long as you did not misrepresent any material fact. You were just unfortunate. |

mevisbleek: My brother I'm so sorry hear this. Your situation is convoluted to say the least. I can only speak for Canada. Canada and usa works together, let me give u an example, I was speeding in new York because I was rushing to make it to Toronto to get ready for work the next day, I was stopped by the police for speeding and was given a ticket. When I got into toronto in a couple of days I got another ticket in the mail by toronto police asking me to pay an additional amount because I was caught speeding in yankee also my license was seized in Canada for 30 days due to that incidence. Back to your issue, if you over stayed your visa it will be extremely different for Canada to give you study visa cos they can easily pull up ur record from their elder brother (yankee). My advise would be to apply tho but with a strong support letter detailing why you offer stayed and also give reasons why that won't repeat itself when u get to canada. The Vo would believe that if you have done it before u can easily do it again. I would strongly advise that u hire a reputable immigration (I don't mean all those packaging agents in naija) lawyer maybe in yankee to assist u with this battle. It's not over my brother I've seen lawyer fight removal orders trust me. On the yankee side it's either u take the 5yr ban and move on or fight a lawyer to fight the battle for you. I swear to you I'm not trying to sell the services of a lawyer but the Vo's kinda respect a good lawyer. It is well my brother, no problem is worth killing Ur self over. You can pm me to talk further. I'm not an agent I'm just a dude that got study permit with the help of NL in 2009 and I like to share my personal experience and help others in return You are coming across to me like one, i have edited your previous posts containing the same line. Please stop asking people to pm you for private chat. If you want to contact somebody here then feel free to use the PM to do that. |

diamondsare4eva: Sorry to hear about it. Whoever advised you to apply to change your B1 to F1 advised you wrongly. Its never done. U can only change your status in ur country of residence. This kind of information can be shared between both consulate but I doubt since its nothing about treat to both countries like an act of terrorism, felony, drug related and very serious issues. I don't think anyone can better advise on this. If your us visa is cancelled without prejudice, then I can say forget canada but go ahead but if not go ahead and apply to schools in Canada Actually that is not true, that is legitimately done but the op got the timing wrong |

ToyinNick: @ All Hello, Please I am trying to sponsor my husband to the UK, just need to confirm what I need to gather 1. I was told that I need a 12 months payslip, is this true? 2. If my husband has got a business in Nigeria which he barely started 6 months ago, does he need to provide a tax clearance or I should not get it complicated by putting on the letter that he's got a business? He doesn't pay any tax, so I was wondering if I should risk it by putting on the letter that he's got a business, cos I don't want the situation that the people will be asking that since he's not working or something, he's being refused entry 3. Regarding the phone calls, I called lebara to try and get like around a year call history, when I went online, I was only able to print out 2months, is that sufficient or how can I print out a year call history? 4. Do you suggest I involve a lawyer to help me with the application? 5. What copy of passport do I need to provide, British or nigerian? 6. Lastly, the documents I have at the moment are, English test, Yellow fever and tuberculosis test (for my husband), but for me I have marriage cert, bank statement of 6 months, payslip of 6 months, letter of invitation, Passport photograph, wedding pictures and old days pictures, proof of address, proof of employment, tenancy agreement, council tax info Is there any other information I need?
Please guys I need a honest suggestion and advise. Do feel free to ask me any question. Thanks in advance Toyin 1. 6 months payslip will do. 2. For spouse visa application the money comes from you as his sponsor, his earnings will not be needed, you need to proof that you are earning £18600 a year. 3. You submit not only phone call history but whatsapp, Facebook, Skype , emails...all means of communication both of you have ever used. 4. No need for a lawyer but if you have money to throw around then feel free to get one. 5. British passport 6. Your list of documents are good but yellow fever and letter of invitation are not needed, you need to add more pictures...wedding pics, pictures of both of you together before marriage, if you have ever sent him money or gift add the evidence. |

dorothy111: Thank you for all your efforts here. I was given a conditional offer at Hull City University for my MSc. My tuition fee is £14,700 which I do not have in full. The university representative have called several times to advise me on how I can pay in installment. But I am required to pay £2000 to make the offer unconditional so I can apply for my visa.
Now, my question is how much do you think I should have in my account that can guarantee my visa, because the £2000 is non-refundable. £12,700 + 7380(maintenance money) + £150 NHS fees. |

Kimoni: I paid online recently but I can't recall it giving me any issues. Maybe I was lucky.
I advise you still try and make the payment online before you go to avoid unnecessary drama and time wastage. Your appointment page comes up after paying and that's the first thing they check before you are allowed into the building.
It's better you go early and finish early cuz the system was consistently having network issues when I went so those that didn't come early would have had to come back the following day.
Bebe2, many thanks for the tip on using the registered envelope. It saved me the stress of traveling down 10 days after for collection. bebe2: Better still, keep trying the online payment. U can even call them up, think d company is in ame4ica I got the payment done, actually pretty quick without any problem and got June appointment date. |

Nicklouse: This is my second nairaland account and not my original just for the sake of this post and other stuff. I recently married this beautiful 24 years old Lady about 4 months ago. We married in a church and the wedding was great. Our honeymoon was also great.
She is always demanding sex.. When i say NO she would romance and seduce me so much that i have no choice but to give in up to 8 times a day. Especially weekends. During the working days, she would ensure we copulate at least 3 times in the morning before she leaves for work and up to 3 times at Night before we sleep and sometimes in the car in traffic as our work places are very close so we leave together.
I am getting tired of this. The day she came visiting to my work place.. we had sex there in my office. I dont know whats in her head right now i need help. Nairalanders please help me.
I reported to her family they have ignored my complaints.. She is a very young, beautiful and irresistible girl so i can barely control my self even when i do not want it. I threatened to divorce her, she said i cannot divorce her just like that. She is right, i cannot. I wont dare judging by the family she is coming from. An iron born family.
I am now angry, sad, and confused.. She is even sleeping by my side as i type this i am sure by 5:00am tomorrow, another round. Bro how does that work? While on traffic she jumped on you to ride you or how? Please explain |
