YOU have bn derailing the thread since yesterday.

You gave your opinion about it which was wrong.
Is it because nobody haas told you, they have all given you the respect and have advised you keep shut and move on.
Well its not my responsibility to tell you what to do.
So I'm passing by. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
There is no derailment here, this argument is about Canadian visa, whether we agreed or not is completely different issue.

I do not force my opinion on anybody...so if you don't like it then scroll up and read other posts

Asin I don't understand this kinda Ego that can't make someone understand that he's wrong and others are right.
Seriously its not a nice attitude, if it were someone else, the person would probably be banned by now.

Point out a single person that got banned for having a debate here...as long as we are not derailing this thread then move on. This thread is about Canadian visa so we are not derailing it. You don't have to agree with me neither do i have to agree with you.

You people keep bringing the issue up and at the same time moaning

... Ok... I feel u... But keep in mind Visa is a travel document... while Permit is not... With visa u can travel back and forth, with Permit u can go out but cant come back in.... You cant work in Canada with a Work Visa... U need a work permit which is a record issued at POE... U cant study over 6months without a Study Permit either... so... U can put them under Immigration Record but I doubt Visa...
Anyways ... How Sunday game go be...

Unlike before i'm not really bothered about Sunday, i think its a winnable game...will be watching it with my 4eyes closed grin

You have no idea what you are saying hey> Zims started jumping fences long before your 2012. Infact they became our adopted child since 1997. At least we remain in our land , we can not say the same about you. Inspite of your informal business in Nigeria infrastructure is still at zero. Till today you have no town planners and your villages are still disorderly built. Look at your airports, so sad but you possess a lot of natural resources that you hand out in exchange for money from the west. How unwise of you. You rather choke on dollars than seeing to the wellbeing of your country. You have even shown hatred to your fellow countryman without any regret. Let me awaken you for a moment: Why are individuals owning oil wells in your country? If you start addressing some of those things Nigeria would be a better place for all.
Nigerians are not deluded, we condemn our own govt for the way they are running the country, we don't need SA to point that out. Take the white and their developments out of SA then you have an advanced Somalia. An average black South African got no idea what it means to study, work and survive. SA just like Zimbabwe were developed by the white, when white Zimbabweans left Zimbabwe with their investment the country went to the dogs. No currency, electricity and water rationed. They couldn't survive because they were been sustained by the white just like SA now.

I don't agree with you kenya is a tourist country and you must have a visa to enter and the flight fee is equivalent to dubai. have gone before. just recently.

justwise:
If you are a family and wants to build travel history that
counts then don't bother wasting your money and time
going to Ghana, Kenya or other African countries that are
visa free to Nigeria or cost very little to travel to, they will
not help your immigration profile especially if you want to
apply for visa to EU/Western countries.
That is not the point, visa requirements for Kenyan is nothing compare to EU countries, Canada or US let a lone cost of flight to those countries mentioned.

... Oh my... y'all ain't playing...been seeing some misinformation ... some correcting and some not agreeing ... arguments too much... smh

@Justwise.... Student/Study Visa (TRV) , Work visa, Permanent Residency Visa are all different from Permits...

Visa allows you in and out..,. Permits gives you stay... U can stay in Canada with an expired Visa... Permits must be always valid for u to stay...

If you come in with a Visitors/Visiting visa ...U dont necessarily get a Permit (U can be permitted to stay 6months at a time) ONLY if the Immigration Officer is not comfortable with u leaving that they give u a Visitors Record (ala Permit) which states when u have to get ur behind off Canada... Or they light a fire up ur behind with deportation

Bro i said visa is the umbrella name...under that you have study visa/study permit, work visa/work permit, visiting visa..etc and i said they are all types of visas. Obviously they are for difference purposes.

you are somewhat correct. Nigerians have been hardened by circumstances in their own country. The hunger, the tribal war and even years of liberation has not brought any relief to the nation. What can I say. It is hard to compete with those whose feet and fingers have been hardened through manual labour, I mean manual farming and hunting....lol
At least we are doing it ourselves but the same can not be said about South African, marginalized even in your own country. You will get the taste of your own medicine, Zimbabweans were running their lousy mouth years ago just like South African now...but by 2012 they are jumping fences to SA to claim asylum

Your beloved Nigeria should do more to keep you and your siblings in that land. Are there any geographical demarcations because you people are all over? If your country loved you so much they should have provided for you and the rest before you started being a liability to other people. There is more incompetence I see in Nigeria than in SA. Look at your land, shameful! Develop your own and stop embezzling and looting what belongs to all natives of that land. Stop being greedy and SEE NIGERIA PROSPER THAN AND OTHER AFRICAN STATE.
Yes Nigeria has her problems but Nigerians are open minded, hard working and ready to fix themselves anywhere in the world unlike SAns who are so timid, socially challenged with no exposure that can not survive outside their limited environment.

You were flooded by the white with your tails behind your backs, even as you are liberated you still pick crumbs their table.

What stops lazy-hungry looking South Africans from starting a business?

Like I have sad: You are the same species as the xenophobic people here. How many Nigerians are amongst the dead? Do you know the numbers that you would concern yourself to an extent of killing another? How many has Boko Haram killed before your broken/fraught government took action? And here you are talking about the loss of human life as if you have any idea of its value.
Typical self centered South Africans who cares only about themselves, we care about every African that got killed by your uneducated, pot-smoking lazy waste of space brothers and sisters. At least Nigerian govt and other African countries are fighting BK while your incompetent Zuma can't even control his useless son who actively encouraged the killing.

I highlighted silly part of your face saving comment. Many were killed, displaced and properties destroyed and you are here talking absolutely nonsense because they stopped for 3days? So what?

No apology needed at all.

By the way you left it too late, you should have applied for extension 30days before it expires.

This is just ridiculous! In three days there has not been reports of violence against foreign nationals in SA yet we get conflicting responses by other African states as if SA is ablaze.
I'm yet to see images of Nigerians who have fallen victims of these barbaric attacks. Nigerians stop blowing this thing out of proportion. You keep claiming and generalising that all South Africans are stupid, uneducated and immoral yet many of your loved ones are here, in the land of "the stupid" for "greener pastures". Look, I am 100% against the killing and intimidation of any foreign national but the response from Nigerians back home in Nigeria is sickening. I hope this did not only draw criticism to SA but I'll be glad if it were to highlight some of the challenges Nigeria has. It is good for me as a South African citizen to host foreigners and share my culture with but again if Nigerians are leaving their country in such great numbers someone needs to be concerned. Something is very wrong over there. The Ghana you chose to forcefully remove from Nigeria back then is now doing better than most African states. Could this be seen as a taste of your own medicine?
So those who were killed died for nothing? Because those barbaric animals stopped killing for 3days we all should forget about what has happened for weeks now?

Hello house , I need an experienced info on this issue

I was approved b1/b2 March was to travel to TX to my friend who invited me, but he called that he's coming into Nigeria for weeks holiday so I waited to return back to USA with him. But now he has moved from Tx to another state where he now lives just after my visa approval.

So on the travel date we boarded flight together got to Atlanta POE and being that he's an US citizen he had gone to fast track while I was on the long que for visa like 800's people . So the cbp asked me my mission which is visiting a friend . They tried calling my friend but phone was switch off being in the airport there are restricted area where phones can't be operated . But on my I-94 form filled as I couldn't get my friend I input the original address which I used at the embassy but being that we both traveling together I bought a flight ticket to NC.

While waiting at the secondary check they still trying to reach my friend still not success and I told them we both came in that most probably he might has broad his flight to his destination cos he's flying on his returned tkt, my connection flight was for 11am . To cut the story short cbp made a decision to cancelled my visa and advice me that I could re apply for a visa that I wasn't ban . Please house anyone with similar news and is it always a good result after re applying for a visa using the same individual as ur point of contact . My friend later called them that at lease I should be given 24hours because they could finalised on a decision which so cruel. He's ready to show all prove that he was in the flight that he never thought I was stopped for questioning and he has no access to phone by the time cbp were calling to verify if it's true he was on the same flight and going to his house in NC

Please I need some sort of advice because I want to re apply again soonest . Sorry if there are errors in typing lol.
Reapply with hotel booking, obviously your friend chickened out.

Good point, but how about he says it because otherwise the police officer will ask for some exorbitant price?..I mentioned same and I payed less than the often quoted price even going as far back as part 5.

Your Line of reasoning is flawed if you won't at least consider what I wrote up there.

...Btw, this is the last reply you are entitled to from me.
My point is that the whole idea of going through police officer recommend by a 'friend' is wrong and the thread should not be used as his branch office. You benefited from it..good but it's wrong.

No one has said that yet have they?

U will also remember I commended you for hiding the post
where he replied me with the number back then.
My grouse is with your comment about "helping himself and his police officer friend".

For what its worth, people on here prescribe a specific panel physician to people because they are quicker in forwarding medical result to cdhc and I've never seen u claim anyone is helping that hospital get people.

I understand you moderate a very sensitive board, but sometimes it helps when you put things in perspective and realize some people have no desire to swindle others.

let's move on please.
Please don't pretend as if you don't know why I made that comment, you are not silly, each time ohammed199 drops the police officer's number he will add: tell him Omokeji referred you. That means he is expecting to be appreciated either in kind or cash hence my comment. And the police officer is not doing it for free, they both got something to gain.

I saw that exact post by justwise yesterday and I had to control myself not to reply him..As a person, I benefited from contacting the man whose number Ohammed dropped and i got to smoothly get the PCC even for less than the often quoted price.
Now on that same day, another guy came to apply for same from another officer who asked for twice as much which the ignorant guy hurriedly paid.

So Mr. Wise one, not everyone is here for personal gain..Some people really do want to help , and help without coming across as patronizing.

Be good!
Tell me something I don't know about some Nigerians. Because you benefited from the police officer I should allow him to make this thread his branch office?

Hello Everyone!

Should I fill the entire cost sections in pounds or naira?
i.e. The total amount of money you have for this trip?
- The cost of aeroplane, trains etc?
- The cost of accommodation
- The cost of your living expenses
You can use £ or naira but with £'s value

Token? I have that but It's not even getting to that stage where the code is required before bringing the transaction failure message.

I visited my bank yesterday (GTB ) and try to trace the cause and it was discovered that the address associated with my card is 71, xxxx street instead of 73 and even after I created another application and input the 71,Bleep street as the address, the story is still the same.

Have you tried different card?

@justwise Sadly in our part of the world, you do have to know someone to get a lot of things done, if not you get it overpriced and probably duped if one is unlucky.

However I don't think its proper to post peoples contact numbers here, for many reasons including security its wrong. You can share the numbers in private if you have to, that's why the pm option is available.
I know that is how things work something but that does not make it right. The more you encourage it the more it becomes the norm.

You can't keep dropping the same police officer's phone number here each time somebody asked about affidavit or police clearance, can we do the same in the case of armed robbery?

In trying to state the fact, please reason along with other people's posts cos we are all here for a reason. The main aim is to help one and other, not to open "police headquarters" here on nairaland. Just the other day, someone nearly paid 70k for a notarized affidavit, we advised him not to cos it was ridiculous. If we didn't, he might have ignorantly paid it. I'm sure you wouldn't have liked that. So by doing that are we all becoming barristers or turning this place into a notary public? Somethings are harmless. Its wise to speak only when necessary bruh. Good morning.
You don't have to know a police officer to get things done. It's very annoying to read each time somebody comes here to ask about getting affidavit.....then all you read from one individual is: call this police officer...tell him that I referred you bla bla bla

Why this particular police officer? Why spamming this thread with his number? Isn't about money?
