zaliya: Hi Justwise,
My husband is a PhD student in the UK. He left since October 2014. As his dependants, my three kids and I are planning to join him soon. Meanwhile, the new UK immigration rule states that we must pay Health surcharge fee.
I have been to the health surcharge portal which is quite confusing.
Since my hubby is already in the UK, who is the Lead applicant and Main applicant?
On the portal, when I add myself as the Lead applicant, am asked to fill out the start date and end date (MY HUBBYS details) it wouldn't accept anydate in 2014!
Am I paying for the kids too (ages are 12, 10 and 4 years)
Thank you for your prompt response I don't think i get what they meant by lead and main applicant...i guess the main applicant here is your hubby...but basically the healthcare charge will be paid whether you are the lead or main applicant applying outside or in the UK. |

click44: Pls I need yr assistant. I have been traveling to uk since 2006 on visiting visa until 2010 when I decided to apply for student visa which was granted. While in u'k started dating a guy which is British citizen that was still married at the time and n between our courtship I got pregnant and a a baby girl for him In 2012. Finish studying and had an offer to come back home in April 2014. My visa was to expire 31of dec 2014. I came back with my child . I Was on the job for four months and I was owned 2 months salary which made me decide to leave the job in September 2014. Now my visa has run out and my baby father's wife has moved out of the house and they have been separated since 2012. The wife did not bare any child for him thou. I am planning to go back to uk as he has not started processing his divorce papers so he can't send me an invite as he is technically legally married. (I did not make mention that when his wife moved out I was asked to move in with in in 2013 with my child and was using his address at the time and I still intend to stay with him when I go back) but I have an uncle that can invite me over instead. my question is 1). Now that I want to return what visa will I apply on? 2).if I want to apply on my child since she is British what kind of visa can I apply for? 3). The documents I have on ground does it qualify to apply( I run a transportation business. crowns2: But speaking in tongues is a gift of the spirit. Bible says its edifying. It gives boldness and you are speaking direct to God. Praying in the spirit.[My Offline Bible] 1 Corinthians 14 2 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. Not everybody who claims or pretend to be speaking in tongues are real. People learn how to ramble in the name of speaking in tongues. |

I took and extra effort to go to the embassy in v.I, so I met a staff who told me they maintained there formal decision that I should include all the documents and petition letter in my new application. so I wanted to no my chances, but I believed By his grace they will issue this one. hercules906: Hello guys, @justwise and all, i know this question might sound annoying, and i know the usual rule of collecting your passport before you know the outcome, but please i got this mail recently, and tho i have not received anything from teleperformance, i'm just seeking opinions as to what to expect as i might not have the time to get my passports back for the next one week...thats one additional week of tension, so please help out oh.
Dear *full name
Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigration International Enquiry Service.
We understand that you would like to know about the current status of your visa application. I have tracked the status (GWF******** and date of birth (*****) and found that the application has been processed and it should be with you in the next few days.
Please note that your passport and documentation could still take some time to reach you whilst being sent back from the decision making centre and whilst other administrative formalities are completed. The visa application centre will be in contact with you regarding the collection or delivery. has anybody got this type of response before?.....thanks for your indulgence.... That means your package will be ready for collection this coming week |

Atmmachine: I only know about U.S.A You have to live in America for 5 years to become a citizen, if you live in the U.s you're automatically a permanent resident, there is no much difference between a citizen & a permanent resident, the only advantage of being a citizen is having the American passport.
But you can become a citizen in less than 1 year if you join the military Are you sure about that? |

Boneless Zuma is helpless because his son supported the attack, i watched him on the news hopelessly struggling to say something meaningful then finally he encouraged the immigrants to go home and that they are free to come back when things are sorted out. I'm not Julius Malema's fan but his attack on Zuma about this issue is just on point |

Seeing that the events of the past week or 2 have lately dominated the front page of NL, albeit it has majorly taken the form of insults, lies, exaggeration and falsehood interms of images portrayed instead of healthy, intelligent and solution based discussions, I suggest that Justwise as the moderator to create a new thread that will be free of of trolls and those who find pleasure in turning their frustrations to insults and lets have a discussion that will be civil and fruitful. At the end of the day we are all Africans and solutions to African problems lies with us.
Despite the popular belief on NL most South Africans are against these attacks and that is a fact. People might crucify SAns attitude towards foreigners but it is wrong to attribute the evil actions of a few thugs and criminals to the rest of the peaceful, law abiding and innocent SAns.
Until then, some of us will always push back on insults and attacks meted against all South Africans on this forum. Yes few of you are condemning it but the problem starts when you start giving excuses or trying to explain why those animals are killing other Africans and looting their shops. There is no excuse for the killing and destruction of properties. |

ariyibioladokun: Good Morning, pls am having knowledge gap abt uniassist. I want to apply for Masters in Finance, and I saw that there are applicatn fees to be ppaid 75euro, and 15 euro for subsequent applicatns, my question is how does this uni assist thing work, if I pay d 75euro, I won't need to apply to d sch directly, will dey give me admission letter. Secondly, has any body used master debit card to pay b4. Then do I need proof of english, is waec cert and degree credentials not sufficient. I contacted an agent on nairaland who said with 150k he'll get admission and prepare me for visa interview . (Is that possible). I will appreciate if I can get like example of 1 or 2schs that I can apply directly without english test, I have d proof of funds so all I need is admission letter and advice on schools thanks Who is the person? Name the agent because you are about to be ripped off. Write an English test, you will struggle to find a school that will exempt that. |

UfuomaUN: One boring thing about church service this days is the long prayers. Don't get me wrong. I'm not against spending time praying to God or stuff like that. I just feel that when prayers get prolonged people loose interest most times especially when they have run out of words.
I remember a certain time I was in a church service and the prayers lasted an hour! Knowing too well that the bible emphasises praying straight to the point and avoiding repetition of words while praying (God is not deaf after all) so why then do people pray for too long?
Are long prayers more effective? It gets even harder when people start speaking in tongues and you are not....you are in for it. |

He is wasting your time and money. You should have reapplied and save yourself time and money. Upper tribunal? Some people are just wicked. If you don't want to waste more money and time ask him to cancel it, renew you admission with the school, get another CAS and reapply. |
