I need help asap I am a british citizen and my fiance is a nigerian. We have been together for 5 years and for private reasons he is unable to come back to the UK. What are our options here? Advice would be appreciated
zeezahbee:
You need to investigate that fiancé of yours. Saying 10 years means a ban and it could also mean something else. Ask him why 10years so you can know how to help him.
zeezahbee is right, your fiance need to tell you the truth about his offense.

10years ban can be overturned through marriage but you need to know exactly what he did.

Do you have kids together?

Just this month I realised am 2 weeks pregnant (unplanned though), this means by October I should be due 4 delivery. Please my question is do I have to write a letter to the embassy stating am going to give birth since I didn't mention it at the time of interview? Thank you.

Two weeks yesterday. My school contacted me yesterday telling me that I am entitled to 8 weeks authorised absence per year for my PhD and told me I can extend the two weeks I initially applied for.
You need to include that letter from your school when reapplying and use the blank space in the form to address EOC's point. The letter from your school is important.

Didn't want to get into this argument but Justwise I m trying to figure out what the issue is? Is it that u think Naira Land is loosing revenue it will make from advertisement from all the info being shared on this tread if they can't share such info Wat kind of discussions do u think will happen here maybe we will start discussing things like people asking too much baby questions n compression sock? I understand people that don't want to keep replying emails n PM believe me no pregnant woman has time for that.

Also I know a lot of preggy women that go to the USA to ve kids n believe me 90% of them don't know about this thread so I don't think this thread is d reason for the price increments d only doc.i read online for reviews of most doc discussed here believe it or not most of their patients are Asians n Mexicans .only about 10% of patients will be from Nigeria or n 5% from Nairaland and believe me.

Sharing Info on Doc n other stuffs just make it easier for some people to compare prices and weight different options. U DOING A FAB JOB BUT PLS RELAX N DON'T KILL THE THREAD COS IT'S GETTING BORING FOR ME ALREADY.

@justwise and co, please kindly advice me on what to do. I finished my MSc in September 2014 with a distinction and started a PhD in December 2014 on my old visa which is valid till January 30 2014. I was in the UK with my daughter and my husband even though he had a dependant visa was not able to join us due to extended family issues and illness. I took an authorised absence from my school and returned to Nigeria on Jan 7 and applied on Jan 9. However I picked up my passport today and was shocked to see that we were refused visa under paragraph 245ZV of the immigration rules. This is the statement:

You applied for your Tier 4 visa on 09/01/15. Your studies are due to commence on 01/12/14. You have claimed 30 points based on your CAS but as the final date has now passed I am not satisfied you will be entitled to commence studies or be granted entry to the UK for that purpose. I have awarded you zero points as a consequence. You therefore do not meet the mandatory requirements to be granted entry clearance as a Tier 4 student and I refuse your application under paragraph 245 ZV of the Immigration rules.

I applied for this visa and when asked if I had started the course, I said yes. I do not know what to do. Please my pple, how long does an administrative review take. I have already overstayed my authorised absence and need to get back to school ASAP.
How long have you missed from your studies now? From the time you left the UK and when you sent in the application.

Hello justwise, Please I have a question i wanted to ask and I believe it will help Many individuals that are in the same confusion. In 2011 my wife and my 3 children were granted uk visas

Question 1: I have another baby 2years old the previous children will be applying for 2 years visa should I apply for 6 months for the new baby or 2 years as For others.

Question 2: since my wife and children relocated back to Nigeria . She isnt into any business . She is a student at Christians bible school and A student at NOUN university. Therefore she's not working but taking care of kids and schooling so there is no montly account . Though she has her personal account that i use to fund for house keeping and others.

Questions 3: I'm sponsoring the trip Just as the precious visa with my sole ownership of my company account . with 12m Naira and Dom of about $20k . Please advice me accordingly .

Thank you
1. 6 months for your baby.

2. If you are sponsoring the trip and she doesn't work then your bank statement a lone is enough as far as you can afford it.

3. The application is just like the previous, nothing more than that.

3. I am a signatory and a director/ shareholder in our law firm and anor company, can I include evidence and submit it's bank statement/ cover letter?

Thanks
1. The total cost of the trip is what they want to know, it doesn't matter who is paying.

2. You should use your personal bank statement and explain the payment method using the blank space in the form.

3. You can present that and also include tax certificate and the company's bank statement.

Good evening, I applied for visa 2 yrs ago and was denied visa on the grounds that I stated I don't have friends or family over there and I don't have a dependent in Nigeria. Also that they found some money in my account which they don't think will be for my use cause it was outside my salary and I didn't state any other source of income. So on this grounds, they said that I may not come back. To cut the long story short, I want to apply again this year with my younger sister for a tourist visa. And since it will be me and my sister, I want to use my dad as a sponsor. He has millions in his account,a company and land documents. My question is will that be enough to prove that I will come back? Will it favour me or will be against me since I am working and earn salary. Or should I use my own bank account and company which I used for my application last 2yrs and which is also sufficient? Also, how do I process my application, so they will know I'm traveling with my sister. Thanks a lot
As an adult who works you need to use your own bank statement and proof that you can afford to pay for the trip. Using your daddy's account and property documents will not help you because you are not a teen.

Please I want clarification on savings and investment. Since We have to put in a figure, I only want to know if the savings stated means the total in the bank account or salary minus the money spent on living expenses and money given to dependents and family?

Please whats the exchange rate to use: 281 0r 290.
Savings means money available in your personal account right now, you can't include money you have spent already as savings, that can be consider as total monthly income.

Oga justwise, i agree wt @PrinceAde, FavordB...... Imagine if from the start of this thread people have been sharing info through PMs, the thread would have been dead by now. It is agents (and maybe a few private doctors) that benefit from whatever popularity you are talking about.

And for hospitals reviewing prices because of popularity gotten from this thread, understand that different hospital increase prices based on different reasons. I would use MIHS as a case study cos i had my baby there during the MIHS boom days.

MIHS did not increase their price because of Nigerians influx. Infact, we Nigerians did not constitute up to 3% of their clientele base. MIHS is a county hospital supported by the state government. I understand the price increase was because their grants and allocation from the government was reduced and they had to rump up income to survive. Even before the Nigerians influx, they always had the resident and non-resident package. Yes, the increase for the non-resident pack was higher; and i think it is only logical to favor residents more (as residents pay the taxes used to develop the state); remember its a county hospital.

Honestly i benefitted immensely frm this thread o (about 8k dollars in savings is not beans money). I ended up having a successful VBAC too against my original plan of CS. I have even referred pple to this thread and its been the same testimony cool

So Oga justwise, kool down for us ehn wink find comfort in d fact that we nlanders benefit from this thread wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy more than the agents do cheesy Stakeholder profiling is important in business o. No worry, if u want we go dey pay tithe to Seun to support the ministry grin grin
U are doing a gooooood job BTW

@ Justwise i understand your point. But I hope you are not insinuating that i am an agent. Lol. Cos i cant.imagine you asking me to tell the hospital to come and advertise here. What's their own. It's not the hospitals that are scouting for patients, and i am sure they don't even know that this forum exists. Even if they knew I am sure they would care less. It's the members here that are looking for information and i feel i should help just like everyone here who has been willing to share important info that others would benefit from. Like i said, No beef. I understand where u r coming from. Will do my best to reply as much PMs as I can and folks if I don't reply, sorry. You can ask your question here and others who have same info can respond.
You can't be sure about that because one placed paid ad in this section before and another one has an ad still running here now.

Pitykitten,

I couldnt agree with you more.We have inconsistencies in application of rules and note some of us have scaled the fenced as we have the info we require and some have even already gotten the required US pali for their babies but feel obligated to share certain info to help someone else as others have helped them in the past.I cannot imagine how many PMs I have responded to when I could have easily pasted the info which I did by the way and it was deleted as I was considered carying out marketing activities

@Justwise,
I believe you need to relax this moderation power.Simply define and apply consistent rules and also review the objective of this forum which I believe is information sharing(I stand to be corrected). I disagree with your comments referring people to google hospitals, doctors because if one can get direct information straight and as quick like that ,then this forum would not exists and if it did, you'd be the only one on it and mind you, I for instance and I believe majority of us all stumbled on this forum via a detailed Google research on the subject.
While I understand you are weary of marketers, you must note that all form of info shared is a source of marketing also,be it direct or indirect. the main thing is to also review if the objective is achieved as people of this forum are adults and should be able to review shared information objectively just as they are hit with marketing info in their everyday lives . The truth is we need the hospitals more than they need us as i can attest to this by the blatant denials of visa at the embassy and even the increase in hospital fees which is simply following the law of demand and supply as well as price elasticity principles any where in the world. If we dont need the hospitals and the US, then lets sit in our countries and have our kids then after all,I do not see any US citizen rushing to Nigeria to give birth so please lets consider facts when applying considerations
Having said all this,I must still however commend your heart for starting up this wonderful forum to help us all.

I hope I wont be banned for this as I am open to reason out the facts with you and if I do,then i would say its a pleasure to have been able to contribute my little quota in this forum
I read this post and wanted to reply then i saw that section in bold. You don't deserve any reasonable reply from me other than this.

Justwise, I'm sure everyone appreciates the work you have been doing on this thread as it may have turned to a market place w/o you.
However, can the rules be clear please? Today, one person shares a doctors number and the next day, another person isn't allowed to.

Like someone mentioned, these hospitals couldn't care less about we on NLand plus they shouldn't be allowed to place adverts anyway (medical ethics). So ejo Sir, be flexible where you can.

Then please you guys don't eat me raw for this ooo but when your opinion is disagreed with, no need to sound so irritated about it. No matter how sensible what you have said is, there are way too many people here and no one is obliged to accept your opinion. No need to sound like a know-it-all or be condescending.
Yes its unethical for hospitals to place an ad but members here are doing that for them knowingly or unknowingly. Only one hospital emailed me last year requesting that i remove their details here dropped by a member as they did not authorize it. Others couldn't careless after all they are benefiting from it.

Of course they care about nairaland because the coverage we gave them here has lead to price increases in some hospitals and one in particular charging for letter.

I'm trying to strike a balance here and not make this thread unfriendly, you can't read and hid all hospital contact details dropped by members here, if that is done then half of the posts here will be invisible.

There is a difference between mentioning Dr's or hospitals' name and pasting details and price quotes from the hospital. I can't please everybody here, that pretty much i know.
