Okay, thank you for the advice I appreciate. But these people and their rules sef...

Do you think there will be jobs for 10hrs? Also will I be able to work full time during the holidays?
10hrs job are mostly cleaning jobs...2hrs Mon-Fri. Sure you can work longer than that during summer long holidays

Exactly!
Same scenario played out in most countries that opened their doors to immigrants in recent times, that is another reason why Canada is some years late in almost everything, all these friendly immigration programs(most closed now anyway) were copied from Europe, GREAT britain to be precise. From the days of HSMP, IGS, PSW e.t.c ...... The government is actually listening to these ignorant Canadians cos they have the power to vote them out hence they are tightening the rules e.g express entry
I know Canada needs immigrants especially the tim hortons, Mcdonalds and walmarts! I can't imagine how those places would function without them.
Care-in-giver has been changed too. They now need LMIA/LMO too. What that means is employers would have to consider Canadians and PR first before outsiders unlike before.

A lot of British resident I have met here left the UK to take advantage of better wages in Alberta cos of the oil sands, the wages in other provinces are low and of course ease of entry.

And Quebec would definitely not take in people cos they can speak French, if that was the case. Francophone countries in Africa would be empty by now. lol
You are absolutely spot-on, that is exactly what happened.

I have 4 friends that went through this route. Not sure if it's tier 2. They all have ILR now. I believe it's a lot easier for engineering graduates as they are all engineers.
That is true, its tier 2 though difficult to get now because of change in immigration policies...market test thing.

You need to have renewed your work visa for 5 years and your post study visa doesn't count he says. He already tried.
Then you cousin never had proper work permit, post-study work visa (PSW) is just 2years work visa given to every foreign student after graduation(though cancelled now) and its non-renewable.

Proper work visa gives you 5years route to ILR, first you will be given 3yrs when you renew that it will add up to the 5yrs needed for ILR.

Its actually a public funded college. No, not really I don't know any international student in the school with 20 hours working visa.

What do you advice I do?
I don't think there is any much you can do really, the rule is the rule, 10hrs for public funded colleges and 20hrs for university, its nothing new.

You can try AD and see how it goes.

Did you hear about the rafeeq atanda and his mum case? Using boko Haram as a basis to apply for asylum seekers after being told to return back in 2007 after serving a prison sentence for use false documents as deception

The only victims of these atrociou cases are the children themselves , it stays witht them psychologically,

Anyway, just want to thank you on behalf of the people that you have help in one way or another in getting visa legally

Exactly! This case https://www.nairaland.com/2109122/uk-wants-deport-5yr-old they don't seems to learn from other people's experiences.

Yes, it is public funded
Its 10hrs per week, private college students are not even allowed to work.

Your school should know the rule and stop trying to give you false hopes. Do you know any body in your school with 20hrs working visa?

The things is that boy legitimate mum has a child here with her husband(whom also came here using false documents), plus they are trying to get their remaining kido back at Nigeria under the same scam.

The parents are still under the influence that you are granted a leave to remain if you remain hidden in the uk, like the 20 years residency rule, which came into effect back in 2012. What am saying is that, does it really worth it huh Suffering just because you want tell your friends back at Nigeria that you live abroad, obviously me being a Nigerian born British citizen, i can't help but think these are the people that tarnish al l Nigerian worldwide, giving us bad names
They will be lucky to last that long before the authority get hold of them, 20years long residency is their only chance. Large scale scam like that is hard to hide for so long.

Like you said...they are making things difficult for genuine Nigerians.

His mum came on 6 month visiting visa(using false documents) and overstayed, I think she used her friends that was a naturalised British citizen to claim the child as her family related
Messy situation, the innocent boy will suffer at the end. He will be deported if caught and his parents or whoever is accommodating him now has a lot of explanation to do. Just silly move by his parents really. I hope he gets good education at least before the burble bust

Hello @justwise,

Thanks for being here always. My mum applied for a 5 year visit visa since on the 19th of December 2014, though it got to the UK visas and immigration on the 29th dec 2014, we are yet to hear anything from them. Decision is yet to be made. Going by the submission date, it's over 40 days today, going by the day they received it, it's 30 days today. She's really worried. We have written them and they are yet to reply. What do you think is happening. Hope to read from you. Thanks
When was the last time you called or emailed them?

HOW CAN A NIGERIAN GET TO LAS VEGAS please guys? We have a Nigerian passport and a driving license
You really need to calm down and face the fact. Getting married even in heaven will not solve your fiancé's the UK immigration issue.

If you want to get him back to the UK then the first thing to do is to get married to him in Nigeria.

2. Meeting the financial requirement[ minimum yearly salary of at least £18600], if you have kids that figure goes up.

3. Applying for spouse visa for him....now because of his previous immigration record he needs a miracle to get it at first attempt. Chances are that he will be refused then given the right to appeal the refusal. This is when your battle will start...addressing his previous immigration records and going to immigration tribunal to defend him.

4. Move back to Nigeria to live with him.

Be careful with people who will be sending you private messages promising to help, fact chance! You will be scammed big time.

My uncle put down 30k Canadian cash for my cousins international fees each year with boarding. He's been getting a visa ever since. So I can't answer your question but that amount gives you an idea.
He is not applying for student visa and he doesn't need that much in his account to be able to get visiting visa.

What is Canadian rich standard?
