gogochocolate: just wise please i and my family got australian permanent residency visa recently but we are yet to migrate. We intend to pass through UK to visit family members on our way to aussie. i am skpetical abt applying for UK visa because i was denied visa before based on balance of probabilities. does having an australian permanent residency visa help ? should i indicate that on the form. i de fear rejection again. It does help a great deal and you should indicate that in your form. |

Endico: Thank you so much. All that you mentioned will be provided including company registration documents. With all that provide, will there be any problem as the employees don't have payslip and bank statement? Obviously that is a reasonable concern but if your company is in a good financial health, well organised and the company in the UK offering the training is not a dodgy one (not registered, not well established, own by African, Asian, Eastern European.etc) then their chances of getting a visa is higher, it will not be seen as a way of running away from Nigeria using the training as a cover up. |

hydrazone: Yes, it will cover for the fees and maintenance. I intend asking them to state the annual tuition fees and state that the balance is for maintenance (even though the balance is in excess of the £820 X 9months required). Will it also be OK if I apply as a Tier 4(General) (Sponsored) Student. I wouldn't be able to wait for the 28 days as I'm to resume by 1st Feb. Thanks Ask them for letter if you want but it's not necessary...just to stop you going into 40 days and 40 nights fasting and prayer..lol You don't need to wait for 28 days, you have scholarship letter, your sponsor is not in doubt, it's a well known organisation. |

hydrazone: @justwise, I still need the address. The award letter from my school to me does not state the exact amount for tuition and maintenance. It Only states the total amount awarded for the three years and a statement that it'll be disbursed annually in three equal instalments. So I want them to issue another letter stating the money for tuition and maintenance and preferably addressed to the ukba. Thanks Will the yearly instalment cover your fees and maintenance money? They don't need to address a separate letter to BHC, the scholarship letter is enough. |

davdjayj: Hello House. Thanks all for the information provided on this topic. Just a quick question. 1) I am going for a masters and my father is the sponsor. I do have a birth certificate but it has only initials of parents and its the old birth certificate type. Not notarized and not from NPC. Can this be used? Initials without their last names in full? |

I forgot to pay for courier service at the VAC. Can I pay online? Has anyone done it before? Or do I have to come back to Abj when it's ready for collection? It doesn't make much of a difference, you can pick up your package yourself when its ready. |

Amdan: The thing is, when I first applied for visa in Nigeria, I was sponsored thru scholarship so there was no need for my bank statement so I supplied my Nigeria home address. When I applied for my BRP in UK, there was no need for me to put my Nigeria home address or my Nigeria bank statement (I used uk bank statement). But now, I am applying for my family and am stated we live together and the addresses on my first visa application, this current online form and marriage affidavit are all same. However, upon printing my Nigeria bank statement, I noticed the address on the statement was wrong (having variations even from the proof of address I have them). Also, I am yet to submit my online application. Should I change the online application form address to reflect what's on the bank statement or leave everything as is? That will sort it out to avoid any suspicion, so yea do that if you can. |

saintsola: Hello House, on Nov 26th i was at the uk vfs to pick my application .Upon opening the package,i discovered my passport was not inside, but the note inside the pack said my passport has been retained "The passport that you were intending to travel with, as detailed above has been retained, as we are not satisfied that the document satisfactorily estabilishes your identity and nationality. This is in view of the fact that a previous UK visa application was made in 2009 using identity consistent with those provided in this application. Enquires will be undertaken at this office and the document will be forwarded as soon as pratically possible to the Nigerian immigration service in Abuja. The Nigerian immigration service will decide whether further action is required. in these cases, enquiries should be addressed to the Nigerian Immigration Service.".
Please note that this is my first Visa application to UK embassy inspite of my frequent travel to over 17 countries. Please kindly assist with advice on how to retrieve my passport. Have you ever lost your previous passport or given your passport to any agent for visa? |

Pls i have 5 questions? 1. I am a forex trader and my broker is alpari uk, i intend to apply for visit visa to visit my mother a british citizen for 2weeks i would like to know which visa type to go for 6months or 2years visa. 2. Do i need a letter of introduction from my broker since am self smployed 3. I always pay myself two thousand pounds from my trading profit every month i have saved for 1year in my pound dom account 18,500. I do pay tax on only one thousand pounds every month from the two thousand pounds since am self employed i set my earnings here in nigeria. I have my tax recepit from firs and lagos tax office to show i have been paying my tax. I did not incorporate a business since that will require me filling company tax. Is this ok to show that i am financially ok to finance my trip to uk,to the embassy 4. I have landed property i am presently building it i have the deed of the property is this document ok to submitt to embassy to show that i have ties to my country and i will return back do i include pictures of the building too or are there any other documents i need to include. 5. Also are there any other items/documents i need to include to ensure my visa application is successful.
Look forward to reply God bless 1. Family visiting visa. 2. It will help if you can get one. 3. Yes submit all your tax receipts 4. Submit your land receipt, did you sign contact with the builder? 5. You need an IV from your mother, breakdown of how much the trip will cost you, list of things you tend to do in the UK. Remember to keep your budget as reasonable and realistic as possible, avoid budgeting far more than you make within two months...unless money is an issue. |

Sassyp: @justwise i have a quick question for you.i want to apply for a UK visa next year august for a short holiday in sepetember, but i think my case is a bit complicated. 1stly,i school and reside in tanzania(university of dar es salaam) 2ndly,i have been refused UK visa in the past 1st was in 2008 wen i applied to go study in the UK at 1 college then.due to ignorance and all i didnt know the school wasnt accredited so i was refused. then in 2012,i applied for a general visitors visa in nigeria and at that time i was in Obafemi awolowo uiniveristy and i cldnt provide enough documentation to show my academic progress and all.i just submitted a letter from skul identifying me as a student.
so now i wish to apply by next year during my long vacation as i would be coming home to nigeria for my long vacation for a period of 3months.
i have been to a few countries from Tanzania(SA,KENYA,DUBAI,RWANDA,UGANDA) and i have valid papers(permits)valid for 2years
i will be sponsored by my dad,he is a retired civil servant and has some properties on lease for business.
what do you suggest i do and how do i tackle this issue and avoid been refused again... can you pls list documents you feel i should provide?your response will be highly appreciated. You need to submit letter from your school, progress report and your course info. I don't really want to repeat what i have written here many many time before....list of documents needed for visiting visa has been listed here too many times....please take your time and read few pages back. |
