amnestylaw1: I have tried searching for info online, but could not find anything helpful. I am planning to come to Nigeria soon, but was wondering whether there is any customs regulation in Nigeria regarding the limit to amount of money one can enter the country with from Europe. In other words, what is the maximum amount of money (in EURO) I can enter Nigeria with without declaring to custom? Considering the way Naija is, do I really need to declare any currency even if it equals or slightly above the minimum amount that needs to be declared?
Thanks for your numerous responses. Anything more than 10 thousand need to be declared |

icedbreez: Exactly my point.....I just returned from Dubai yesterday. From a week's vacation with my family and firstly I want to thank this forum....from the very firm/harsh but fair justwise to the delectable, helpful and ever present Justi4jesu to the anonymous but kind Muchouchou and various other people here who help prepared me to go to a place I have never been to before....it went well and am grateful to God and all here. lastly I want to say that I did not dig the metro because it was mostly standing and over crowded with indians so I used dubai taxi a lot and I mean a lot and in all that time I neva saw a black dubai taxi driver never mind a Nigerian so bro u may need to be careful to note whether you are about to be scammed or its for real. Hmm..happy Xmas |

Thanks so much for your replies. B1/B2 visa is a combination of tourism, medicals, business etc...just declare your intention during the interview...child birth for example. |

I earn nothing less than 250k monthly selling of human hairs and clothes , but I want to relocate abroad maybe usa or London to get a better job.. which country is better ,i have about 1.5million, I want to invest in something else because i'm tired of. Selling female stuffs because of debts..
Your advice will be highly respected. You are about to waste that money, you can live and do business in any of those countries legally with that money. |

shaq32: @ justwise: I never said in my posts I am looking for british citizenship so don't get me wrong. I was responding to the initial poster who wants to apply and I am informing him he can get a visiting visa and go to the uk and get a long certificate BC. He can decide to apply straight from the UK whch is a whole lot less stressful or come back to nigeria and apply here. Bros you still don't get it, your case and his are not the same, you used yourself as an example because you were born in the UK just like the op and as a result you were able to apply for visiting visa and got it. My point is....because your daddy was on diplomatic posting then you are not entitled to apply for British citizenship...so you can get visiting visa but the op is technically a British citizen and its stated on his Nigerian passport...so he does not need a visa to visit the UK, what he needs is British passport. |

temmy2103: Compliments of the season people, I've my interview in a couple of weeks but when scheduling appointment I filled only my first and last name cos there was no place for middle name Later found out it shd be exactly how it is in my passport. Want to knw if: 1, I can go like dt or 2, How I can change/adjust d details Thank you so much for ur response abujaniv: Hello Nairalanders,
VO here. We are continuing to see people appear at the Embassy and Consulate for an interview with DS-160 information that differs from their appointment confirmation. This is a friendly reminder that:
• The DS-160 non-immigrant visa application confirmation number used to schedule visa interviews must match the application confirmation page that is brought to the interview. Applicants who do not meet these criteria will not be interviewed and will have to purchase a new fee receipt to book another appointment. This includes families – make sure that the DS-160 information matches the appointment information for every family member, even young children.
• Full instructions on how to make an appointment for a non-immigrant visa interview are available on our website: http://nigeria.usembassy.gov.
• Applicants with existing appointments should contact the CGI Call Center at +234 0144 06218 to make any necessary changes.
We believe this change will make application processing faster and more efficient, and we thank you for your attention.
Compliments of the season, U.S. Mission to Nigeria |

shaq32: i beg to differ on some pple saying if u apply u cant get a visiting visa. not true. i was born in the uk though my dad a diplomat. neva been a fan of the uk though my siblings live there. went for the first time since i was born in oct for 2wks. apply for the visiting visa. once u get into the uk u can get the long birth cert. i actually misplaced mine thus thats y i travelled there. wuz born before 1983. cost me 23pounds i think. paid for express waited 30mins and picked it up. once u get the long birth cert cos u cant apply with the short one u get ur passport. the birth cert is enuf for u to get ur passport. if in doubt go thru their website You are completely missing the point. |

softtouch2: QUESTION: A friend was initially denied visa on "false document", he appealed, the officer in-charge later withdrew his initial verdict of "false document" accusation, this guy won the appeal and was given his visa.
Now, he is going to renew his visa, 1. Is he going to be denied visa base on previous record of which he won the appeal? 2. How will he respond to visa question like "Have you been denied visa before?"
Thanks Tranquill: Hello VO, Someone was served with a removal notice for overstaying in the UK. She appealled to the immigration tribunal and won the case wherein the court declared the action of the UK home office as not in accordance with the law.
My question is does the person have to declear this when applying for a visa or the court judgement means the removal never existed so the person can say NO she was never ordered to leave any country? Thanks. VisaOfficer: She should declare it, then explain that she successfully appealed. |
