guys thanks for the reply. yea initial reason for refusal was due to maintenance funds because bank statement was out of date.
I am worried that they might refuse me if I make mistakes on the form.
so no need for me to cross the question that says, ( do you have any remaining fees and maintenance still due for payment)?
I thought I have to cross the box then write the amount of my maintenance funds.
guys sorry I ask lots of questions because I am into this alone.
Do you have any fees remaining to pay?

please guys help me for the last time, I need an urgent reply. I made a treble mistake whilst filling the online tier 4 form.
the university offered me 1000 GBP oversea scholarship award upon payment of tuition fee. Although my tuition has been paid in full.
- question 6.14 self assessment form- do you receive support from financial sponsor that meet the uk border agency definition of financial sponsor? I said no on the online form, but meanwhile I've been offered a scholarship of 1000.
- question 6.16 and 6.17 self assessment form
it says do u still remaining fees and maintenance still due for payment? I said no on the online form, my tuition been paid but my maintenance haven't been paid.
THE THING IS GUYS, I REALISED I MADE A MISTAKE ON HE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM WHICH CAN'T BE CHANGED,
CAN I PLEASE WRITE ON A DIFFERENT PAPER EXPLAINING MY MISTAKES?
I GOT REFUSED INITIALLY FOR MAINTENANCE AND A BALANCE OF 25 POUND TUITUION FEE
PLS GUYS I NEED HELP MY APPOINTMENT IS TODAY O
Can you explain why you were refused based on maintenance money and balance of school fees before?

On your initial questions....I don't see any mistake there because the £1000 is not definition of financial sponsorship, it's basically a discount for paying fees upfront.

Maintenance money is not paid to anybody so if you have it in your account then you got nothing to worry about.

I need your advice on these, the great travel gurus in the house. I deposited 3.1m in my account some days back, which was even far above the money required by the UKBA to issue my visa, but to my greatest surprise, the money as fell short some 100's of pounds due to devaluation and weak naira, won't these affect my chances to be issued visa? My tuition is 10300 and I paid 7k pounds already and just went through the new Tier 4 brochure it states I must have at least 9months maintenence fee
If you deposited the full amount from day one and exchange rate fluctuations affects it days later then you will not be blamed for that. You can not control the market and you can't keep topping up each time your money goes down while counting 28 days.

I was working. I've been told he can apply for discretionary leave to remain as he has family life in the UK which is the baby since the baby is british.

My reason for coming here is to find out what are his chances of him winning the case.
Discretionary leave to remain deals with asylum seeking cases which your husband's case did not fall into.

You can read more about it here https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/312346/discretionaryleave.pdf

Hi everyone,
Good morning. Please I want to know how effective the teleperformance tracking system is. When I applied for my visa the first time, my status changed to Transfer to UKVI on the same day I submitted. However, this time around it is not the case, the status is still showing Application Submitted. Is this normal with them.
Nothing wrong with that.

Hi,
I need advice from someone about applying for tier 4 general student visa, I applied for a visa in August it was refused and I couldn't got to university in September so I applied to another university for January start. The issue is when they returned my Documents my original birth certificate did not come with the rest documents and I need it to apply for this new visa, as my maintenance funds are in my parents account, I am planning to apply for a new birth certificate and put a copy of both the old and new one and explain in a letter and possibly swear affidavit of what happened, would this work out?
Thanks so much

Yes the boss really messed everything up for him. He came to the UK with the work visa.
It will be difficult for him to apply for any visa to remain in the UK because you are not married, he overstayed his visa and he has appealed and lost the case.

You need to get married but that means leaving the UK and to apply for spouse visa you need to be working and earning £18600 a year.

Were you working before you gave birth or were you relying on his income for the family?

I am not married to him. His company tried to renew his work visa but during the process, the UK border told the boss to put the job advert online as they believe there are better people that are not foreigners that can do the job.

But coz his boss really like his work, he didnt want to lose him so the boss lied to the home office that he put the job advert online. The home office found the boss out that he lied to them and because of that, my partner was refused his work visa.

The home office took the boss to court and they found him guilty and they banned the boss for 2 years so he is not allowed to invite foreigners in on work permit.

He appealed but the appeal was also rejected based on the reason that his boss doesn't have power to give out work permit until the 2 years ban is over.
His boss messed the whole thing up for him, jobs supposed to pass 'market test' and if there is no British or EU citizen capable to do the job then a non-EU citizen can be given the job.

Did he come to the UK with work visa or student visa then converted to work permit?

1.Are you married to him?

2. Did his company refused to extend his work visa?

I am really worried myself. It's so unfortunate I only got to know about this thread just after I have submitted my application. I submitted last week Thursday and right now I'm just waiting for feedback. I said 5 months because I didn't want to say 2 or 3 months and then stay more than that. I was just being honest with the whole application thing. I just hope I hear a positive feedback. I got interviewed and I was really honest when answering the questions. It's definitely going to be so difficult for both of us if I don't get it. But hey what can I do....I just pray it turns out well, fingers crossed
I'm happy you were but 5months is far too much by any standard. stating 3-4 weeks is safer, its 6 months multiple entry visa if given, so you can always visit as much as you want.

5 months is far more than 90days allowed on one single visit.

Honestly i wish you the very best.

Hi @justwise. I'm new on here and this is my 1st post. Been going through this thread n I can see u have been of great help to people, Kudos to u bro. My issue is I got married to a British citizen in early August in Nigeria. Being away from each other immediately after marriage is a bit difficult for us (he had to go back to uk for work) and we haven't reached the requirements for spouse visa so we decided to apply for a visitor visa so I can go have time with him, celebrate his 30th birthday amd new year with him n his family. I do not work but I do small Scale business where I buy and sell fabrics at home. I depend on my husband financially so he is going to be my sponsor. My husband sent me his 2 months payslip as well as his bank statement (unfortunately 1 month). I have mentioned in my application that I intend to apply for a spouse visa when I get back to Nigeria so I wouldn't wanna jeopardise my chances by over staying. I have all the necessary supporting documents including out wedding pictures and the rest but my worries is I dunno if they will give me a visa cos of I don't work plus don't have any family responsibilities which is ties with Nigeria . And then I said I will be there for 5 months....What are my chances pls?
Oh noo!! I wish you did not say that, 5 months? You are basically telling them that you are running away to stay with your hubby because you don't have a lot to do in Nigeria.

Like you correctly pointed out...your application will be judged based on your tie to Nigeria and the ability to afford the trip....at the moment you did not meet the requirement for both.

I totally understand your situation though, i have friends who found themselves in such situation, separated from their families because of UK tight spouse visa policies.

The thing is, even if Nigeria's tax is 90% effective tax, we won't still have all those social amenities as the money will be going to few people's personal accounts. Nigeria is messed up. I know someone who works in Exxon Mobil and still played the American lottery till it ended.

I feel sorry for my kids sometimes cos i just keep thinking how much worse Nigeria can get.
Absolutely true, couldn't have said it any better.

Of course, Southampton is next, though I won't be rooting on that sha.

But someone telling me Arsenal has better chance this season must be the new Mr. Bean
We getting a point at Stoke has always been an issue and Stoke play dirty football, it's rugby for any team that goes there.

Just like Chelsea at Newcastle, they never won.

You guys will be lucky to get a point on Monday night.

Please tell us how much you pay as tax i.e. tax deducted by your state and your county from your monthly income (we just need the percentage). And also the tax included when you buy anything at the groceries or anywhere in Canada. Thanks!
How good it is in Nigeria where you don't pay those taxes? Each time topic like this comes up people keep going on about how much tax people pay in US, the UK etc....but that is what make those countries better than Nigeria..

Tax money pays for their free and quality education (which we pay millions a year to them to get their certificate), free health care, quality social amenities.

Now tell me how good its in tax-free Nigeria.

Apologies for removing your reply to Obiwannn, nothing wrong with it but he does't deserve it.

The only reason why he is insulting people was simply because he was asked to read back few pages for answer to his question.

Insulting people willingly is what he enjoys and not just in this thread alone.
