Pweety1: The problem is i am not in Lagos, is there any other means of contacting them. Do you think i should just go down to lagos,

Thank you for the quick response.
I'm not sure if they have phone number or email to contact them directly hence the idea of contacting the embassy to know exactly the situation of your application.

Pweety1: I have not received any message. I just tracked it on UkVac track applications.

No message was sent to me. Still waiting.
You don't need to wait to receive any message, you can visit the visa center to know if your application is there.

@folusho2001

paradisewoods: Justwise please what can we do about this "destiny delayers" called Teleperformance. While people are getting there visa in 5 working days at Ikeja, one will wait for 15 good working days @ Teleperformance and still nothing. What could be the cause of this discrepancy? Are they not submitting at the same embassy? or is Teleperformance embassy in the moon. Please advice us , what can we do #bringbackourpassport. I really need my passport back as I will like to get my schegen visa stamped on it before traveling to the UK .
Sadly there is very little you can do, you can contact the embassy directly rather than Teleperformance

Pweety1: I saw the same message when i tracked mine.... pls what do you mean by 50/50? Can i go to Ikeja now or wait for the email or sms. I submitted on the 15th of August.

# cryWorried
Some messages will clearly state that your application has been approved and visa issued while some are not clear but that doesn't necessarily mean that you have been refused or given, you just have to pick up your package to know.

IntroVAT: Thanks a lot justwise.
But you didn't answer my question about "Additional Information"
I wanted to know what this section was for? Is it similar to the Canada one, where you get to explain to the visa officer about your trip and possibly explain gaps in your education and stuff like that?
No its not, you use it to explain anything that is not clear in your application...e.g mistake in your transcript, WAEC result, previous visa refusal, name mistake in any of your documents...etc

Please house lets look into this. @Justwise, @SpikesC.
You just have to wait for the outcome since you have applied already. No need arguing about it now as it will not change anything.

IntroVAT: I mean my normal savings account. I opened a Pound Sterling domiciliary account for the sole purpose of holding the maintenance money for the 28 days. I'm saying if it's necessary to also print let's say some months statements of my savings account too. Or is the pound account solely sufficient?
No there is no need for that.

BossLadyCEO: The school is DMU Leicester, school fees is 12200 pounds. And Leicester is outside London
The agent I made mentioned of is a Ukeas agent.
Convert that £12200 plus £7380 maintenance money to naira and see if that 5M is enough. Use 15th of August exchange rate.

Since an agent is involved in this I will not be replying further on this, somebody is paid already to do this job. Have a discussion with that agent. Good luck

But the space they gave is too small. When I tried to, I ran out of space before I could even write anything

And what about the additional info page, what am I required to write there? Thanks
You don't have to write down all the reasons, one or two will do

chivitech: I have an urgetnt problem ooo oga Justwise. I just finished applying for my visa choosing TIER 4 (SCHOLARSHIP) STUDENT because I got the NITDA scholarship. After booking my appointment, I was told application complete (Payment not required). Am I save or did I just finished filoing the wrong application?
You should have gone for Tier 4 sponsored student because you are going to be sponsored.

Tier 4 Scholarship student are for those on Chevening scholarship or Fellowship, Commonwealth scholarship etc

BossLadyCEO: Hello, please I need an advice. I applied for my tier 4 on the 15th of Aug at Ikeja with a friend of mine. We both on an msc program in dfft fields tho. But d issue is this, I couriered my application becos am presently serving in Enugu, but my friend is in Lagos. Since we submitted I didnt get any mail frm ukba that my application has been received, but she did. And then yesterday, the 26th of Aug, she got a message that her visa has been approved and ready for collection. Meanwhile I have nt received any mesage since we submitted. Tho I didnt pay for sms because I felt I wld be able to track it on their website. But unfortunately I didnt kno it"s no longer possible to track applications on the website
Also am worried becos she used a bank statement while I had a sponsorship lettrr from my local govt for full sponsorship worth 5M. We are worried nw that maybe they are not satisfied wit local govt capability of spending 5M on a student or the money is not enough. Tho I tot of adding my mum's bank statement which covered all d tuition and maintenance, but my agent adviced me not to, that since am a sponsored student, and I accepted the scholarship, that adding a bank statement will make it seem I do not trust my sponsor that is d LG. And that since it is d sponsorship lettet that I used to obtain my cas and that is what is indicated on the CAS, that it is enough evidence of financial capability. But now am really afraid since my friend's visa is ready while mine is nt since we submitted at the same time. Pls can someone advice me what they think is happening. Please sincere opinions
How much is your school fees and where is your school? In London or outside London?

IntroVAT: Please good people of this thread help me with this question. I was denied Canadian visa in June. Attached is a file stating the reasons.

So now i've been asked by the ukba if i've ever been denied visa. Obviously i'm going to answer yes, but how do I summarize the reasons.

2ndly, what do they mean here by "Have any of your accommodation fees been paid to your sponsor"? Please who is the "sponsor" here?

Finally, what am I supposed to fill in the Additional information section?

Thanks
Your sponsor in this occasion is your school.

Just state those points listed by Canadian embassy as reasons for the refusal

Phema: *Twerks in* Singing Pop, pop, pop, pop champagne grin grin cheesy. God is too much!

Had my interview today at the Abuja Consulate and it was a breeze! Was interviewed by the man at window 6. Here is the excerpt;

VO: Good morning Ma'am

Me: Morning Sir

VO: *Studies my DS 160 for like 30secs*. You're going to have your baby?

Me: Yes sir

VO: Can I've your documents from the hospital?

Me: Sure. *passes the letter of responsibility from Doctoresparati, PayPal payment confirmation for letter of responsibility and email correspondences*

VO: *Glances through and nods head*. Can I've have your statement of account?

Me: My hubby is the one sponsoring, so i came with his. *hands him hubby's statements of accounts*

VO: *Glances through again*. Is this your first baby?

Me: Yes sir

VO: Congratulations and safe delivery!

Me: Thank you sir.

VO: When do you intend travelling?

Me: November 26th

VO: Your visa has been granted. Please, do travel with these documents you have shown me. You may be asked at the POE.

Me: *Smiling uncontrollably* Thank you very much Sir.

VO: Have a nice day Ma'am.

Me: You too Sir.

All this took less than 2 minutes. I had the shortest interview compared to every other person before me. Now, I'm wondering why in the world I was so bothered. Couldn't sleep well last night cos of the interview.

Will paste a copy of my budget sheet and other docs I used to prepare ( though I ended up not presenting them)
Congratulations, you deserve it because you did your home work.

Please allow people who wants to give free info and help others here to do so, don't derail the thread.

Thank you.

beginningathome: Ok. Great. Thanks for the info. I just happened upon this thread and thought it was such a great place for people to talk about their plans and thought that being in the US I might be helpful. I'll contact the admin and see what my options for advertising are as I am very interested in letting women know their birthing options. Thanks again!
Actually its, people here are helping each other with little info they have, its more of DIY sort of thing. If one person is allowed to place an ad here then every other person would want to do the same thing.
Travel › Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by justwise(mod): 8:28pm On Aug 25, 2014
beginningathome: So sorry for not understanding the rules you have laid out. My intent was not to simply advertise for myself, but to help those seeking know that there are more options available then just the couple mentioned in this thread. As a birth advocate I really want all women to know their birthing options so they can make informed decisions about their birth.

Could you please direct me to where I can freely share with people about their options for birthing in the US? Do you have an advertising section? I would kindly like to help out. Thank you so much!
There is no free advertising place for your sort of business unfortunately, allowing people to drop their contact details here or advertise will open a flood gate of people using this thread as a launch pad for all sorts of business advertisements .

If you want to advertise your business then contact the admin here https://www.nairaland.com/sendmessage/seun or here https://www.nairaland.com/sendmessagetosupermods
