Dijanbala: First refusal was in 2012, and it was because she stated she was a student but did not provide all the necessary documents to prove she was in full time education, and she choose a particular area of london (on the advice of some agent) but did not demonstrate why she choose the area for her wedding shopping (the application stated she wanted to go for her wedding shopping and a visit) and also stated she did not know anyone. Second application was refused because they did not believe her uncle whom was sponsoring her visit and shopping was really her uncle and if he would really sponsor the trip, and that she had no income in nigeria. Third refusal reason was very similar to the second adding to the fact that she couldnt prove her uncle is really her uncle and his financial statements and documents submitted were not sufficient. fourth refusal was in the same year 2012 in october; this is when I came into the picture as they have been doing the applications without any input from my end. Fourth application was refused because all the supporting documents submitted were scanned copies so they could not be certain they were authentic, and they picked on the point that she initially claimed she knew no one in the uk. This last one was refused last week, and the reason was that she has no strong economic or financial ties in nigeria so they are not satisfied she will return after her visit. thank u. sorry its long winded. No her husband can not afford to pay for her trip hence why her uncle wanted to pay for her to come visit with us. thank u once again. No thanks you actually gave more details than i expected which is good. Ok...she need to be physically restrained from applying again , her situation has not really changed from the first application apart from getting married, she is coming across too desperate now that the ECO might question her true intention of wanting to visit the UK. Its obvious that money is an issue for now and she can't keep depending on somebody to pay for the trip.If she applies again it probably going to be the same story. Maybe if she is working and can afford to pay for herself then that will increase her chances of getting a visa but as its at the moment....its really remote chance. |
Dijanbala: Hello I am not sure if I am on the right thread. My question is in regards to uk visa refusal. My cousin has applied for uk visa 4 times and had been refused visa. We applied for the fifth time with me as her sponsor sending all the documents listed on the ukba supporting documents page but was still refused on the grounds that; they noticed she had been refused 4 times in her previous apps, she hasn't satisfied them that she intends to return to Nigeria due to her economic and social ties in Nigeria and in her first two application some consultant advised her to say she didn't know anyone so they picked on that too since am now claiming to be her cousin and sponsor. My question is how do we correct this mistake if it is salvageable that is? I do hav the enough funds to sponsor her visit and can accommodate and take care of her for the duration of her holidays. Should we make a 6th application noting that she had always had a cousin in the uk? Or by the way on the first 3 applications she was applying as a visitor to go for her wedding shopping which was being sponsored by her uncle. And now she is married no kids yet and not working so no income just being supported by her husband and family. Any advice n tips will be much appreciated thank you1. Possible to remember why she was refused her first and second applications? 2. Can her husband afford to sponsor her without contribution from other family member? |
muhddeen3: URGENT PLEASE!!!!Maybe you need to take the photocopy to the test center first thing in the morning and see if you can get reissued. |
LazzyH: @ justwise, I've been a silent observer of the posts on UK travels, i must say you've been of great help to this forum. I'd like to have a chat with you, please drop me an email: I need some vital info. ThanksThanks but i really like keeping anything nairaland open here, hope you don't mind we keeping the chat here? |
chiragpatel: hi my name is chiragIts possible though its 50/50 situation, you have to meet all requirements and be very honest in your application. |
@FIR Enough of your indirect advertisement, don't use this thread to carry it out, reply to complains made against you. |

Ddream77: Oh my Good God!!! Fncking hell... Lord God! I'm in deep shit. Sometime ago St.steven said he didn't have money and I felt as a fellow nairalander if I have more than enough why can't I help like I do to others in need. So I decided to send him the sum of N10,000. I don't know him from anywhere not spoken to him over the phone before just through email that I asked for his bank account details. I also told him not to tell anyone I assisted him because "when you give out something with your right hand, you mustn't let your left hand know" and the best help you can render someone, is someone you don't expect anything in return from. I feel so stupid and ashamed right now. There is nothing to be shamed of, you gave that money in good faith and let that not deter you from helping the next person in need because there are genuine people out there in real need of help, the shame should be on the fraudster. |

@Ddream77 I edited your post....put his statement on quote |
Ishilove: I guess we now know why you were told to come back. They laid a trap for you and you fell nicely for it. ![]() |
VisaOfficer: I just had a discussion with a trusted colleague about the ethics of disclosing the person's username. We finally decided that it's probably more ethical at this point to keep from derailing this thread with speculation, especially considering that we're going to post a link to any articles (which will certainly include names) when they're published. Also, it could serve as a warning to anyone who might be in collusion with the person.I promise you that it will not derail this thread, his real name is not needed as many people here are known by their nairaland IDs rather than real name. Calling him out here will send a very strong message to people planing to do the same thing in future. That said, i totally respect your decision not to name him. |
VisaOfficer: Let's give him the opportunity to do the right thing and tell us himself.I bet my last £ that he will not turn up here to do that, he will probably get another ID to start posting in another section. |
paradisewoods: Thank you for contacting UK Visas and Immigration International EnquiryTheir messages thesedays does not give much away, so go and pick it up and know what its. |
Ishilove: Please name names so that we may know how to lay blames.Supported. His ID here probably if known? |
VisaOfficer: I'll share the newspaper article when it comes out.Interesting, very interesting, well i'm not surprised to say the least and i'm so glad that the fraudster was rumbled. Some of them here pray and call for monthly praying and fasting but at the same time very dubious. Thanks for your excellent work here VO. |
@VisaOfficer Please can you name and shame the fraudster? |
VisaOfficer: That is true. But at least the imposters were detained by local law enforcement, and now that we know their true names, they are permanently banned from entering the United States. So from my point of view, everything turned out just fine.Wow!!! best news of the day!! no no of the week!! |
Bambamzzzz: i applied alone but she will apply for her own at the end of the monthIn that case her name is not supposed to appear on your visa since you did not apply together. |
Dt03: Thanks so much on your contribution.... I have a lot of things to do with money I don't have too much money at the moment, I am just asking if it is possibleNegotiating for reduced deposit will give them the impression that you don't have the money for fees and maintenance money. Wait until you are ready financially. |
Ishilove: Thank you sir. More power to your elbow ![]() |
GVA: Thanks everyone. I picked up my visa today at Ikeja. I got the mail on Sunday and had my interview on the 25th. I forgot my collection slip at homeCongratulations! |
Bambamzzzz: @ Justwise, donoms, spikesCDid you apply together with your wife? |
Bambamzzzz: @ spikesC , justwise, please is it okay to hold just 1000 pounds cash to uk and leave the rest money on my card? please respond because pounds is on 260 something and i want to use my card to pay for the remaining school fees, and is it okay to tell the immigration that you have most of your money on your card pls reply if all these is acceptable.thanksYes you can do that. |
jayboss: thanks justwise, but i mean during the visa processing period?Yea, like you said as long as it will not reduce the actual maintenance money. |
jayboss: @justwise,please what if you have more than required money for the maintenance, can u withraw from it as long as it doesnt go below the reuired amount needed for maintenance?Sure you can, no prob with that. |
