mrbavs: I did not get an extention letter from my school and yes my school is a private college. Does that have a negative impact on me?
Lets hope and be positive that your late submission will not influence their decision, extension letter would have made things a lot less nervy

Private colleges are always doing the August early course start date which is too early for many students.

Just be positive

mrbavs: Hello experts in the house, i submitted my tier 4 application on 5th August, today is the 12th day and my application status has not changed as it still reads "your application has been forwarded to the british high commission", another issue i have is that i was not interviewed because the UKVI staff had to close at 2:30pm when it got to my turn, I need your prayers as well as observations has proven that some members here have prophetic tongues.

Guys i really need your feedbacks because i want to know what to do because my school already resumed 4th August but still have till 1st September to be admitted and registered into the program. Thanks
Did you get an extension letter from you school? Is your school a private college or an university?

You need to have all the required documents and apply online, once you get a confirmation that your VISA will be issued at the port of entry, you are fine, you just print the letter, I paid $30. You will be asked to present the letter, also be ready to fill plenty forms in regards to Ebola!! Let me know if you require further details
Thanks for the feedback, very useful for many seeking such info. Enjoy your time in Zim.

Olisedinma: Hello,
Please I need your input and advice.

I received my CAS on the 18th of August and started counting my 28 days on the 20th of August, meaning that 28 days will be up on the 17th of sept. I was wondering if this is a good move considering that school commences in the 3rd week of september
Not a good move, that means you be applying at the same time as your course start date.

Do I need to reprint another statement or I should use the one I printed on the 15th ?

You don't have to, you can use the 15th one or print another one it doesn't matter, the most important is that you have the money in your account.

Rachii: Thank God you where thinking and I am sure you have stopped thinking you are God.And for your information I never asked anyone to move money, I only met an information need. He asked the question, for what ever reason best known to him and I gave him a correct answer.

I didn't get away with it, it's not a crime! I know more than 6 people who have done the same thing. People have things to do with their monies and not just to hold it down in some bank account with lesser yield. The British embassy asked to leave the money for just 28 days, even the schools asked for fees to be paid in installments cos they understand that even though you can afford to pay your fees, it may be not be easy to hold the bulk funds down.

It's obvious you have started making some of the rules here yourself Am sure you think you are now the British Embassy Lol.
Please give correct information and not just what you think, cos it isn't abt you! You don't make the decisions.

If you do not agree with what someone has said, there is a better way to express your opinion not in the arrogant way you did when you stated that you doubt If I work in a bank and the position I occupy.

Your probably mad that someone's has an information you do not have! It's possibly dear, you must not kn it all. Relax!!
I know your type.
Yes i'm now making my own rules according to you. Before you lie and deceive people here read this
The money you show us must be for your use for studying and living in the UK. The full amount of this money – which should be held in the manner specified in this guidance - must continue to be available to you after your application is made, except for any money you have to pay for course fees and living costs.

For example, you should retain the full amount of money you have shown us in your bank account, minus the balance you have paid for your course fees.

IntroVAT: Hello everyone in the house. Thanks for your time and efforts in growing this thread.
Pls I have a couple of questions regarding my impending VISA application:

1. My 28 days was reached today. Should I print the statement today, or wait till tomorrow for security

2. I don't yet have any plans for accommodation. Will it affect my application? Please what are my best options

3. On my VISA form, how do I reply to the question on why I have suffered a VISA application rejection. My Canadian VISA application was rejected, but anyone familiar with it would know that the reasons are plenty e.g financial reasons, we don't know if you'll come back etc

And finally

4. How do I reply to the question "Do you have any money in your name?" should I answer yes? Because the maintenance money is in my account.

Justwise and co please help. Thanks
1. Print it today or tomorrow or next week...its still ok.

2. No it will not.

3. State exactly those reasons given by Canadian embassy, you don't have to elaborate.

4. Yes is the answer.

Lucasbalo: Try that with the American Embassy and tell us the outcome.
Nothing will happen, its not a must to travel when issued a visa and if you changed your mind about the trip you don't have to communicate that with the embassy as well.

paradisewoods: My fear is that it might be fully booked before I come in September, I will only be in the UK in September but the accommodation is for urgent absorption. Dont know if the landlord is patient enough.
Please don't pay or deposit money for a room you never viewed, anybody will advice you against that. Travel a week or 2 before your course start date and you will get accommodation, getting your deposit back when there is no tenancy agreement signed and no deposit agreement signed is pretty difficult, but if you want to risk it then good luck.

Travel › Re: Guyana - Telling It As It Is by justwise(mod): 10:06am On Aug 21, 2014
dd25251: @Eke40seven, thanks for sharing. To answer your question, the integration between blacks and East Indians has a history of distaste from East Indians. However, Guyana is now taking on a more multicultural look in terms of the ethnic integration. It's not uncommon now to see a black guy with an East Indian girlfriend/wife and vice versa. The children of mixed race are called "dougla". Also, traditionally, East Indian girls were seen to have flat bottoms and the men skinny. However, East Indian girls now look similar to black girls in their rear ends and the East Indian guys look muscular and athletic like black guys. A common saying is that East Indian girls have earned an increase in their bottom size as a result of having intercourse with black men. I haven't heard of the reason for the East Indian guys transformation. However, I have seen many of them in gyms when I went home for summer so this could be an attributing factor. I have no proof but it's possible that there's still a taboo in traditional East Indian villages for an East Indian girl to have an intimate relationship with a black guy and vice versa. Traditionally, I heard that it was ok for East Indians to have black friends but not as intimate partners. Traditionally, black women taught that East Indian men were not verile enough and referred to them as soft (referring to their private parts). Black men generally had no problem with having intimate relationships with an East Indian girl.

There is a perceived level of racism between East Indians and blacks and this becomes more evident during national elections when East Indians tend to vote for East Indians and blacks vote for blacks. Many blacks claim that they migrate to other countries because of Indian domination in key positions of employment and that they are barred from obtaining certain jobs. The East Indians claimed a similar story when Guyana was ruled by a black President many years ago. This story is similar to tribal rift and complaints in Nigeria and some other African countries.

You're correct to say that there more East Indians in Guyana, they being the majority of the population. Well, one can say that there are pure blacks, pure East Indians and pure Amerindians in Guyana by personal appearance but I don't really know for sure if someone that looks black is really authentic black if there is such a description.

Recently when i went home I saw a few Nigerians and were told that Guyana now has several. However, surprisingly, the few Guyanese that I met didn't speak well of the Nigerians. Also, some Nigerians said that they were no treated well by our immigration officers upon entering Guyana. I think that the global media did a perfect job of demoralising Nigerians, not saying that some Nigerians have not contributed to that image as well. However, the media never seems to focus on the great Nigerians who are honest, law-abiding citizens and making a worthwhile contribution to the global economy. Well, I used that opportunity to reach out to the few Nigerians that I met and offer them the true, Guyanese hospitality for which we're known for.

Guyana and Nigeria share a lot in common but the citizens of both countries may not be aware of it.
Hindus and Muslims generally stick to their traditional beliefs as you rightly said. This is similar to Nigerian tribal system
Hindus, Muslims and Amerindians have their unique foods just like the blacks but some foods are common across all races - like the staple rice
Hindus (only East Indians can be Hindus) and Muslims are generally richer and own more lands than the blacks
Like you and the Irik food, many black people including myself love Indian food (Curry, roti, dhal etc).
I have 2 ibo friends and they match the characteristics that you described.
We use Farine which you call Gharri.
We use Coo which you prepare differently and call semo
Our foofoo is made from green plantain
dd25251: @Eke40seven and my all the other wonderful contributors to this forum, thanks for your encouragement. I'm going to start again by trying to repond to Eke40seven post.
The post I made that disappear and probably earned me a ban. I don't know the reason but I'll trying to break it up into small parts as was suggested to avoid it being taken as spam.

Rachii: @justwise unfortunately for you, it's is not for you to decide who works where and what position the occupy since you are not God! On the completion of my 28 days, I moved my money back to my investment account and continued to do my investment bids with the money so I can gain more money before I travel. My VISA came out exactly 9 working days later.

Still @Justwise you are doing a great Job here, but if you are not clear on any question it's better you leave it then trying to insult and throw stones at another person who seem to have the information you do not have.

For the records when the embassy sends a confirmation to your bank, they send the data page of the form you filled online, the one with your picture and ask the bank to confirm that the person who's picture appears is truly their customer and is aware that his account is been used for the visa application. (Becos sometimes it's a sponsors acct that is used not the VISA applicant). They also ask the bank to confirm that the statement and information represented on it is authentic and correct.( cos a fraudulent person may attempt to alter the records on the statement.

That's all the embassy confirms from the bank. The bank has an obligation to you as a customer not to release you account balance to anyone or institution(embassies included) except with a court order.

@bumzaji pls walk into any branch of your bank and get a professional advice, just make sure you don't blow the money before you travel cos you will sure need it. Anyone may want to reinvest their money and make more before they are due to travel!
Really? I'm not God? Was thinking i'm....pointless.

Do you bother to know why the rule specifically stated that applicants should leave their money in bank account throughout the visa application and travel to the UK with that money? Its wrong to advice or encourage anybody to withdraw that money after submitting application because clearly that is against the visa rule. For the fact that you did it and get away with it does not mean that it will work for everybody.

This is exactly why some embassies like Canadian embassy randomly ask applicants to resubmit refresh bank statement and if you have moved your money by then the new printout will caught you out.

SashaPride: Hi.

New to this forum! My question is regarding my (tourist) UK Visa Application I intend to submit next week. We pln to go to London for 7days.
The story is long but pls bear with me.

I am a LPR(Legal Permanent Resident) of the USA (since 2011) and i have a son who is a US citizen. I'm still in a serious relationship with his dad but not engaged. My self and my boyfriend have traveled together to Dubai, and that's it. I'm currently in Nigeria( for a while now) and he wants to plan a trip to UK I have my Green Card and re-entry permit to go back to the US as i've been out of America for more than 6 months. He is paying for the trip 100%. He is gainfully employed with a salary of abt 300k a month. He has a savings account with a balance of about 1M naira, Landed property, another account with over 2M as he recently got paid benefits from his late mum pension from one of the pension administrative banks. I assume that payment will show as a lodgement and we requested a letter from the bank to show prove which they declined. I am not employed as i don't live in Nigeria and i cant tender my bank statement and work history in the US, as i have been away for more than 6 months. I Urgently need your advice on this matter. Find below the documents we currently have for submission

Letter of introduction from employer- same employer for over 7 years
leave letter stating beginning and end of leave and date to return back to work
Payslip -6 months
Hotel reservation
Flight Itinerary
landed property document
Pictures- various times
bank statement- 1 salary, 1 current, 1 savings
My LPR Card and Re-entry Permit for USA
Copy of our sons US BC and Passport Data page(US Passport)
Letter of Sponsorship from him to stating that he is paying for the trip entirely and we plan to return to Nigeria.

Hope to hear back soon.
List of places to visit in the UK?

He should use the blank space in the form to explain the huge sum of money inherited from his mother else it will be seen as money lodgement

Rachii: No it's not misleading. I work in a bank and I gave that information from an informed position. Except it works differently else where. We confirm the money as at when statement was printed.
I pretty much doubt that you work at the bank or in a position to deal with the embassies

Rachii: No you don't have to leave the money. They bank only confirms to them your bal as at the date your statement was printed. They bank doesn't have the right to give them the balance as at when the came to confirm.

Besides Oyedepo makes good income as a good writer so, before saying things, get ur facts right so as not to attract more curse upon urself while I continue enjoying the grace of God upon this great man of God, who has given himself as a sacrifice to God for this generation.
