Nigeria is where the money is. Open any business in Nigeria, the population size and sheer need guarantees mega success within a year. Everything is cheaper in Nigeria too, the freedom to live life on your own terms is without bounds. I put it down to FEAR, that's what drives full grown men to leave their country to become servants in another man's land.

Of course, care and support is unskilled work.

I will use an example, a single guy living outside of London. Assuming you work in the same city where you work. These figures are as close to actual as possible. If you live in UK and and I'm wrong, bring us actual figures!

Let's say you earn £1,800 monthly:
Tax + NI - £400
Rent (studio flat + bills) - £600
One month bus ticket - £55
Food and groceries - £100
Car finance, e.g. Audi A1 - £227 (down payment is around £2k plus)
Total monthly expenses - £1,382
You still have £418 for other expenses and savings. But anything else you spend on will be wants not needs.

Council tax £80 if it's not included in your rent.
The UK guys don't want us to come and flood the place for them.

UK system is not designed for savings, but you will afford everything to live normal life. And if you get residency or citizenship, govt will pay you when you're unemployed or have disability (more than 50% of minimum wage). They take very good care of their people. This is why their immigration process is so tedious.
Starting afresh is very tough (mental strength is important), but once you're balanced no one regrets relocating to UK!

Seems you don't know how deep the gay issue is over here in naija. The difference is that it is socially acceptable in the UK so folks don't have to hide it.
Just go online and see Nigerians that are gay. Heck go to videos and see naija gays and bisexuals acting porn.
Point is yes, you are right in the sense that in the UK, due to the social acceptance of gays, ones child will be open to tell you hoha. It also encourages those who ordinarily will fight the gay feelings to accept it. Naija is the opposite.

The only difference is security. In UK, you have good security, especially, when you're broke. Nobody knows s broke person, talkless of kidnapping them. So,get it right, in UK, they kidnap too, you just don't know because, you don't have money. Even the footballers over there aren't finding it funny

Do you know that in the UK, with your minimum wage (which is everyone gets at least) you can afford decent accommodation, good food, some good clothes and nice shoes, a small latest model car (like 2023 model), and travel to other countries once a year or two?
Life is a lot better in UK!

In as much everyone is proving innocent. I know most of here have applied for one country or the other and we all know most proof of fund they use where just deposited and removed later. We in Mauritius know how its and those in Mauritius can testify as well. Lets pray this don't happen to anyone. Everyone has learned his or her lessons from this .

Dear all,
Kindly note that Davous is not a scammer like I initially expoused.
I called the school (BSP) and they confirmed he really sent my applications. From my investigations, the problem was from Mauritian immigration as they have clamped down on Nigerian applicants.
I have also settled amicably with Davous and he has refunded my money.

Please disregard my initial outburst.
@justwise, please remove him from the scammers thread. It was just a transaction gone wrong and I was caught up in between. Mauritius is rejecting Nigerians now even those with legit documents.

[b]Once again, Davous has refunded me and from my investigation with the school, I believe he is not a scammer.

You know one thing with us is that when you tell men to pay application fee, they run away lol, so this agents changed the pattern to free admission so as to lure them in.

This country do not verify documents. They work with what they have. When i created this thread, I stated documents for visa application.
It's quite unfortunate that the visa was denied.
I think fake documents worked for him earlier.
It's only the new police certificate that can easily be verified, other documents I doubt.
That's why when you come in here, you gats do another medical exam before you apply for permit.
Just know that this money is gone...
let him try to dialogue with him, let the agent reapply for him at later time when things gets back to normal.

Hi, from my knowledge, you have to provide police character certificate from alagbon, which is verifiable online. All the documents you provide from Nigeria is what will be used for your visa application. The only additional documents here is the accommodation letter I think.
Yes my friend was issued with such letter on 6th of January.
When I came in here, visa application takes just 2weeks, then permit takes 4weeks. But Recently visa application takes more and permit takes forever. I have people that submitted for permit since November, and still they haven't gotten it, while some did get theirs a bit early.
For the first time on this Island, this week, I was stopped by police to show my ID!!!
The country is totally locking down.
Just know that visas will be more strict nowadays.
Like I said before, email the letter to Passport and Immigration Office, their email is attached on that letter.

What I can see here is that I think he did apply for the visa but it was denied. Secondly it wasn't denied on fake documents but due to clamp down recently happening in Mauritius. I think he do get away with such documents in the past.

Let me explain some past and recent changes in Mauritius.

Around September, I helped my 3 friends apply for visa, their file were sent back from the immigration twice because of incomplete documents. One has name error on his passport and waec, while the other was age error. They had to send affidavit to support the changes. The second time they sent it back again requesting for the new police clearance because they used the old one. So back then things were relaxed.
This January another applied and got denied without reason. When I tried to resend his new documents to school, I was informed that they no longer issue visas to Nigerians at the moment.

What I'm trying to say is that if you application was submitted within December downwards, its a 50/50.

Thirdly, like I said earlier, you cannot do police character certificate on proxy because you have to do biometric capture. I don't think they verify bank statement, I think they use it as proof of address.
