Treadway: interesting. How about this thread?
https://www.nairaland.com/6980903/canada-start-up-visa
It wasn't taken down despite that in that thread were glaring requests for money upfront ringing all through, but twice you took down mine where no talk of money was made but essentially same thread content. SUV designated bodies include incubators, angel investors and venture capitalists. Someone creates a thread about forming a team to join a busines incubator program for the canada SUV, and is allowed, but mine about forming a team to pitch to VCs for same canada SUV is taken down.
Cheers to a great job. I know better now. You don't, you have absolutely no clue how many such thread i take down, i don't see all the thread created here as some are moved from other sections. I try as much as i can to be fair and balance moderating this section but as usual some people like you will always have issues. |

KanwuliaExtra: Ok.
I did read Chatinent's posts. Those are the words of an emotional mind. When the rational mind took over. . . . he made a U-turn too. He was simply passionate about the situation. I did not get any facts of the case till I read the first thread, which should have been produced from the beginning of this thread. That way, people like us would get the true picture of things.
This page should not have got to 60 pages+.
What Chastinent aware of the first thread? Or did he feel A.O.B had some new evidence to produce(which is what I thought was the case). Between all the digressionary insults derailing the thread, it was quite difficult to follow what was going on or off.
I had to take 3 good days to read BOTH THREADS to gain a full understanding of what was really going on.
All I could see was a lot of 'posturing'. . . . Yes he was, he started this thread 2days after this one>> https://www.nairaland.com/6789928/mistaken-identification was started and he posted on it too. |

KanwuliaExtra: So do dem they exonerate? NL is full of mainly lay follk. What did you expect? They only did what they felt they could, IT WAS NOT IN THEIR POWERS TO EXONERATE HIM. WITHOUT AN ATTORNEY? WITHOUT READING THE TRANSCRIPTS?
On what basis? EMOTIONS? If you did not read the transcripts, then you could only push for “freedom” based on EMOTIONS! Is that a crime? Does that mean you are a rapist apologist? NO! You only needed some basic education and having read the transcripts. . . . NLanders the world got better-schooled.
What I did not understand was the level of passion from either side viciously attacking from both sides.
The protagonists were ignorant and passionate. The Antagonists were sadistic and passionate. Between all were insults traded back and forth.
Ignorance is bliss remrmber?
NL was just flexing. Outside NL, did you see any other group taking his case to revisit it? AFTER 3 YEARS?
After 3 years? I was just reading and laughing. Yes, you can exonerate a convicted man, but not on NL or social media. Yes, absolutely yes, even with loads of evidences they were all out to push the narative of mistaken identity This is another thread about this case https://www.nairaland.com/6789928/mistaken-identificationDid you read Chatinent's posts? No because he deleted them after getting caught with his knickers down |

Nigerians/black people are naturally emotionally people and Bah took advantage of that This is just true, this thread was started to exonerate him and win support in the court of public opinion Chatinent was all out to help him as he sees him as a victim of racist American system |

I want to divorce him , sell the car and use it for this UK study route and take my children as dependent without him knowing. I am tired of the marriage already. He is 44 while I am 31. i want to move on with my life.
Sorry for the long write up Don't even think about doing that, you don't stand a chance getting a visa, traveling with those kids without his support or surviving in the UK as a single mum with two kids |

This is proof that most Nigerian are okay with corruption/being fraudulent as long as it benefits them. Yeye dey smell God bless you for this, i could not like your post more than once, only one person reported that post. |

CornOak: Hello elders.
Please I need clarifications on this issue.
A friend is planning to apply for student visa for herself and her kid. However, the husband is already in the UK and out of status (visiting).
Question: Would the hubby's status (overstay) affect the family's student visa application?
How can they go about it? Your answers, advices, and suggestions would highly be appreciated.
Many thanks. Your husband’s status in the UK will affect visa application made by any family member linked to him. He probably included his wife and kids name during his visa application, so whether you mention his name or not they will know. |

Meanwhile, someone is advising we go ahead with submitting the biometrics because UKVI will definitely contact us to make the IHS payment before they make decisions. How true please? Yes they will, those people like money too much, go ahead with the application but keep that money aside as you will need to make the payment at some point. |

HRprof: With the wave of Jakpa going on in the country I still do not understand why Hausa’s don’t join the bandwagon to Jakpa abroad. I have pondered into this thought and I felt I should share my personal opinion and the implications that might affect the south west, south south and south East region if continue on the ongoing Jakpa.
Come to think of it , some of the reasons given by those who Jakpa is sighted insecurity meanwhile Northern Nigeria has the highest share of insecurity, the most affected region yet they don’t Jakpa to abroad rather they Jakpa within Nigeria to a place they felt is more safer than the North, however occupying the community of those who Jakpa abroad? Recently there are flocks of Hausa in all southern region.
Looking at the implication to the Jakpa abroad region: 1. With the insinuation that some persons want to islamize Nigeria with this it should be an opportunity for them to accomplish that. 2. When Hausa’s occupy the Jakpa syndrome communities they will possess your possessions and conquer your region. 3. The northerners will install Emir to all the Jakpa communities and take over their region 4. When they Jakpa people decide to return back to their country they become third class citizens in their fatherland.
Let discuss !!!! Note; Not war !!! Not tribal sentiment !!!
Cc disguy ,Justwise @frontpage Hausa no dey go school, those that do hate western education and culture, they travel to Arabic countries to study so why are surprised that they are not part of japa crew? |

Progressivegee: Hi guys, I posted sometime ago (other miniker) about issues with my company because I wasn't able to drive and how they threaten to sack me at any slight instance including feedind a dog thrice instead of twice. It hasn't been easy for me. I have been trekking in the winter to see clients and never complained yet my company never cease to threaten me of sack for the most trivial of issues. They constantly remind me that they are doing me a favor by keeping me cos I wld have been long gone to my country the moment they noticed I cldnt drive. They refused to renew my ID card and didn't give me the training they give to other staff.
I was told by my South African colleague that the company wants to chase me and I should find a new sponsor before I am chased out. Luckily for me, I got a new sponsor and I have a new COS. I have also applied to update my Visa using priority option.
My company sent me a mail that they have booked me ahead for work till the new year. I plan to start at my new place before the Christmas. I responded that they should only book me for a week cos I will be stopping after a week. My contract states that both parties should give at least a 1 week notice before contract termination.
I was told to report to the office and on getting there I laid all my concerns. I have been living in an hotel with my wife and two kids for close to 2 months and the company refused to stand as a guarantor for me to get a house. I also made other concerns. They said its non of their business if my kids are registered with a GP or not or if I have a place as long as I work with them. I maintained my stance that I want to quit but was told I must work for a month before quiting or forfeit the pay for the days I have worked. I said I wasn't going to work and the madam opened the door and asked me to get out. I got up and left.
Later in the day, the husband mailed me that I am breaching my contract that I must work 1 month or they will report me to home office and I will have a limit to stay in the UK. I didn't reply his mail but I have a copy of the contract that states other wise.
Any advice for me guys? You have a right in this country, start using it and stop allowing this bogus company to mess you around. Turn on the heat and threaten to expose them to authorities and social media platforms. You have kept quiet for too long. |

Wanted to ask if this is wise. I have an offer to stay with a friend - I would rather not explore this. What would you suggest as the best approach? Coming to Hertfordshire Paying for an accommodation before seeing it and signing tenancy agreement is not a good idea. You could be scammed easily. Consider taking the offer from your friend then search for accommodation when you arrive. |
