lalla89: Thanks very much to aristoqrat and justwise ,please how much will I pay as visa fee when I reach embassy and what is the chances of geting my visa without a TOEFL or IELTS

If your school requires you to write TOEFL or IELTS then you must do that else you will be refused a visa.

I don't know the visa cost.

lalla89: Thank for the reply the €7200 in my personal account is it for both reamaining balance and maitainance fund or only for the one.and pls is how much in naira
The 7200 pounds (not Euro) is for your maintenance money only you need to add the remaining school fees to it and leave it in your bank account for 28days before applying.

Aristoqrat: Thanks a lot!

Okay so to your questions:
1. After 28 days minimum of the funds being in the account-It would now be safe for you to printout the account statement.
2. You can then proceed with your application by applying online.
3. After applying you need to book an appointment online, after booking a date make sure you do a printout of the details as you will be asked for it when you get there. This is the rush period, so you might not be able to book a particular date -but go ahead and book the next available date.
4. On the scheduled date of your appointment-that's when you will take all your supporting documents (both originals and photocopies + your international passport) for submission. When you get there, you will pay your visa fees, your documents will be collected, and you will have to sit for a video cam interview.

Note that
There are two different forms to be submitted. One has to be filled online(vaf9 application form http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/visas/vaf9.pdf)<<----You can print this one out, fill it and use it as a guide when applying online. You can apply online here http://www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk/ApplyNow.aspx and when you have reached the final stage -you have to print out the online application pages(about 5-6 pages),sign, attach a passport photo. You will take this printed out form with you on your appointment date.

The other has to be filled by hand -The Vaf9 appendix 8:Tier 4 form http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/visas/vaf9-app81.pdf)<<------print the form and fill, take it with you when going for submission.

I hope that helps, all the best!
@lalla89 the two posts by Aristoqrat i quoted answers all your questions, if you still not convinced by anything then ask.

Aristoqrat: Okay that's good then, well your checklist should include:
1. VAF9 Form printout (Attached with one passport photo)
2. Appendix 8 Form
3. International passport (Include old passport, if any)
4. School Certificate/Transcripts
5. WASSCE certificate

6. CAS statement
7. Bank statements (You can also include oanda.com currency converter printout -that is if your funds are in Naira)
I hope that helps. All the best!

Basically how much is your company making in a year?
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 10:15am On Aug 17, 2013
k2joye: Thanks for the reply. About 1M in my corporate accout and 400 plus in my personal savings. I want you look it in my US student visa point of view. Will you think they will issue me UK Visavisa base on the fact that I will be living UK for US for my studies
Are you going to buy anything for your business in the UK?
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 10:13am On Aug 17, 2013
Connoisseur: at the time of my application, I had 700k naira in my personal acc and £16k in a personal dom account. the eco overlooked the dom acc and focused on the naira account. are dom accounts not considered during evaluations?
Clamming that you earn N350 a month without any clear evidence of that is a wrong idea, you have naira and dom accounts but which one of those is business or personal account? The focus will be more on your personal account as business account acts as your tie to Nigeria than anything else

Connoisseur: Ok bosses

now i want to reapply. I guess i didnt explain my cicumstances very well in the first application. It dosent mean i lied when i said i make 350k monthly, its just that i dont make any payments to myself. every profit is plunged back into the business.
also my personal account isnt really personal, some customers are choosy about the banks they pay into due to availability, crowd issues and all.
Now how do i answer the question of how much i earn and how do i make my personal account reflect that cos i see this is the basis on which my app was refused?
I don't think you should be in a hurry to reapply, you need to sort out the discrepancies between your business account and personal account, open a business account and separate business from personal account. Explaining alone is not good enough without paper evidence to demonstrate what you are explaining

You got no strong source of income....not employed/business owner,no investment, not married, there is nothing that will persuade you to come back to Nigeria if given a visa.

besart: Hello,

I live in Pristina capital of Kosovo, if you want information of Kosovo please contact me, I will show you pictures and facts about Kosovo. Please don't listen to propaganda about Kosovo because Kosovo might be poor comparing to London or Paris but it is really nice place to build your own business or just to try our coffe.

Kosovo is very friendly place except for North Mitrovica where most of the people are Serbians and they try to block the people because they try to do everything against Albanian people.

So really if you are interested knowing about Kosovo,Pristina please contact me, I Will tell you everything about life here, i will even contact you via Skype or something else and I can show you the place.

p.s even Serbians tried to invade us we don't hate them we just want them out of our society.
And one last thing there are nice Serbian people i don't want to judge all of them but if you are pro Albanians believe me you will find a lot of trouble dealing with serbians, so just try to ignore and avoid them.

All of you that are willing to try Kosovo or even just trying to know smth about Kosovo please contract me i will try my best to help you (and yes im Albanian tongue).

All the Best.
Besart Berisha.

Chuksxy: thanks guys for all the helpful replies. My dad as well used his company's bank statements when my elder bro applied for a visa back in 2011 and my brother got the visa. However, a family friend of mine applied last year with his dad's company's bank statement but was refused. so I myself i'm quite scared. on the other hand my family friend didn't pay his fees but my dad did when my bro applied. I have no choice but to go ahead and submit my application. I cant transfer the remaining 2200 pounds and wait for another 28 days. Wish me luck guys. if i get it i'll make sure i inform you guys. smiley
Was that account opened in a company's name or a personal account use for company and personal financial businesses?

Connoisseur: Hello Justwise
I know you guys are skeptical given the prevalence of fraud online. But I think banning any sort of outside communnication isnt helping us either. All am sayiing is for you to find a way we can contact you outside here (i dont mind paying) cos there are details that shouldnt be posted on open forum like dis.
just my thoughts
You can do without posting any personal details here, there is nothing about getting a visa that is secrete. Lets keep it open for the sake of transparency

Upeace: Now, I smell a big rat. My post is neither insultive nor antagonistic. If you are a competitor or have personal beef with Wakanow shroudedly airing it here is not such a good idea. But to the person who genuinely does have an issue, persist, go to their office(s), send them email and please post the result. I did have an issue with Wakanow, and they genuinely did everything they could to resolve it. There are other online agencies such as Travelstart, I haven't used them but will to compare service and overall value for money. Good luck! Don't promote hatred for people like me who believe in the advancement of Nigeria and Nigerian companies, let's do our bit.

That does not make sense, don't render bad services to people and expect them to support you, i will patronize any company that renders me good service Nigerian or not.

deany: So I've been following this topic silently for about a year. I stayed silent, read almost very page of both part one and part two. I applied for my visa on the 22nd of July, school resumes 16th of September. My visa was given to UPS on the 12th of August and I received it on the 14th. My validity started on the 6th of August. Thanks Justwise and everyone who has ever failed or succeeded in this. Your testimonies helped me and God favoured me. Would be leaving for the University of Glasgow 8th of September. Is there anyone else going to Glasgow?
Congratulations! all the very best with your studies.
