coogar: yet people wonder why their people are getting salty about this foreign aid. how are they even sure jonathan won't convert the funds to food?It really does not make any sense, though foreign aid is a 'legitimate' bribe, the UK ,US and other European countries know how to use it to get what they want. Its not completely free, it comes with condition, if they want Nigeria to support them in International level or influence any domestic policy then foreign aid will play a bigger part. |
coogar: and britain is about to give nigeria £1 billion to join the space race......i'd rather they line everyone up in a single file and divide that money equally. space race? wetin concern nigerians with rockets and orbit?I read that and still wondering what is wrong with Nigeria, we don't have motor-able roads but we are wasting millions of money on space race? This is some sort of white elephant project that will never materialize. Honestly British govt is sick in the head for giving such ridiculous amount of money away. |
coogar: more like 7% So on point!! |
naijababe: Finito! The person that said 40% of international students are Nigerians should back it up! 40%?! Maa kanYou know! 40%? Nigerian foreign students here are not even up to 20% |
tolma28: @justwise, the last time i applied was in may, 2013 and the reason for refusal was because of late submission. but the second refusal was in oct, 2012 and i stated that my monthly income varies between 200k - 400k and i used my personal acct which am using for business to apply for it but unfortunately the ECO said he is not satisfied with my financial condition becuz am unable to proof reasonably the sources of the income in my account even after explaining i run a business.Late submission? Did you apply during your leave or were you going for a conference? |
Aristoqrat: Hello guys.Congratulations, were you called for an interview? |
AjanleKoko: Whatever aid (if any) Nigeria receives from Britain cannot possibly trump the profits received by the many British companies operating in Nigeria, salaries paid to British expats in the energy, telecom, and manufacturing sectors, and even visa fees.Bros you are mixing this up, British companies in Nigeria are an investment into Nigerian economy and it benefits both parties, those companies employes Nigerians and pay tax to Nigerian govt. The UK aid money is money given to Nigeria for things like education, health etc Nigeria receives in average of £250 million yearly from the UK govt, this is nothing new. Why you and some other people here talking about money the British embassy makes from visa applicants? Did they force you to apply? Do you want to get it for free? Does Nigerian embassies around the world give out visa free? |
VisaOfficer: Thanks, Justwise! I'm curious to see what complaints people have (as a manager, I'm interested in providing good customer service), but I agree with you that this thread should be kept on-topic. There are only so many hours in the day.The moment that is allowed this thread will be derailed and they will turn it to town hall meeting. I don't like hiding posts as it makes thread very messy. |
nikiihardehx: Pls nairalanders I nid ur help....want to know if its possible to change visiting visa to student visa in uk, have gat families there, and a uncle that knows a lecturer in a particular college in UK, thinking of applying for 6month visiting visa, then change it to student visa.pls how possible is that, and how do I go about itNot possible, you will still have to come back to Nigeria to apply for student visa |
Nelly Ghenghen: exactly!! 40% of the total international students(paying full tuition no scholarships) in the uk are Nigerians, plus do you know how much the uk makes from Nigerian visa applicants every month? talk more of people that write IELTS AND TOEFEL?? im sure Nigeria has the highest number of candidates in Africa for these exams. plus the money they make from british airways in nigeria, who go Uk pass Nigerians??. they are gaining far more from us from my point of view, why dyu think they always put effort to make things right whenever our govt threatens them? you think its cos they like us? lolSorry your argument makes no sense and 40% of International students in the UK are not Nigerians. We are talking about aid here, now money you spent on something you want. |
AjanleKoko: Getting in what terms? In terms of aid, Nigeria receives millions of pounds every year from the UK govt, money leaving Nigeria to the UK is not aid, Nigeria don't send aid to the UK govt |
marshal44: Please I need your help. I paid £3,000(pre -deposit fee) out of £9,950(whole school fee). one thing I don't seem to understand is do I have to keep just the £7200 pounds in my account or £7200 +£6950(£14,150) in my account for 28 days/working days. Hope to read from you guys soon. Thanks in anticipation. That is the amount you need to keep in your account for 28days, including weekends |
@Justwise; first of all welldone sir, you are doing one heck of a great job on here. *My complaint* I recently posted a question based on my observation@ the US embassy, on the thread where the US visa officer specifically stated we should ask such questions( so I aimed the question directly at the VO) and I was very surprised you hid my post. Now Justwise, I understood the reason you gave, but which other way would I have gotten a direct response? asides the fact that the question I asked needed to be addressed on the grounds of Visa Service, the Visa officer would have made "them" to look into such cases, as he clearly stated that most of the posts he read were being presented before his superiors and actually aid them in improving upon their Jobs-mind you, other inquiries asides Visa's were also directed at him as the Visa Officer represents the US consulate and he still answered them. I found it hard to believe that you hid a post that would have been in the best interest of people, if it was addressed as he was addressing others. Did you take a critical look at that post sir?? Personally, I dont believe in being Conservative with opinions as I feel it defeats the purpose of progress "most times" Thank you.
I don't want that thread to be turned to complain thread, that thread is purely for USA visa inquires, your post got nothing to do with visa inquiry |
fadinus: Na wa o, the guy truly has a testimony to share o, Am sure he aced his Toefl.Complete that. He will serve the full length of his ban |
@Justwise; I am really shocked you hid my post, you could have edited it if it was too direct... I really wanted the Visa officer to answer that question.
Please leave this thread strictly for VisaOffice to answer visa related inquires as the title indicates, this is not a thread to air your views/complain about how US embassy treat visa applicants, if you want to do that then start a Separate thread and discus that. |
jenni1108: Please I need urgent advice about this – so after speaking to my MP’s office last week who advised that reapplying would be the best option, I have decided that we will not reapply, due to a serious illness in Husband’s family and some other issues we just don’t have the money spare to hire a lawyer and reapply.Whoever told you that never been to tribunal hearing before, i went to tribunal as a student with no legal experience whatsoever and won my case, it took less than 30mins and its done. Nobody will tell your story with emotion more than you will do, you do not need a lawyer, you can answer any, i mean any question the tribunal judge will ask you, this is not some sort of interrogatory environment, its just you, the judge and 'may be' HomeOffice legal rep ( if they bothered to turn up). |
tolma28: please i need help on uk visitor's visa. i have being refused 3 times (1) ECO not satisfy with my financial circumstance (refusal 2) ECO not satisfy with my financial circumstance (refusal 3) insufficient time for processing of visa application (i intend to attend my institute annual conference). Are you earning more now? Has your financial situation changed since you last applied? |
morpheus24: Tsweehing.Which America has the exact problem that can compare to that of Nigeria? |
WaltherPPK: This stewpid girl should just sit her stinking arse wherever she is, Nigeria does not even need people like her. what is her motive for posting the video? since she made it clear she does not have any interest in Nigeria any longer. And all of you that are applauding her, yes we know the problems but in what way are you helping Nigeria? What I see is just a delude immature girl revelling in the euphoria that she is now imbibing the culture of a society she sees as Eldorado, if this not inferiority complex, i wonder what it is.Millions of miles away from inferiority complex, he said what millions of Nigerians have said and continue saying If this video was done by a Nigerian pastor this thread will be full of praise singers and bible quoting. Truth is bitter they said |
goldentie4real: Good morning visa officer. Please i need your advise on this issue my. When my dad was filling for his green me and my 3 other siblings where less than 21yrs and he included our names in his application as beneficiary but by the time he got his green card in 2000 most of us were already above 21 and unfortunately both him and his attorney failed to petition for us. He got his citizenship around 2010 and when he felt like petitioning for us different people are saying we will queue for years because we are not in the immediate family category. Now these are my questions 1. Must we wait for many years again despite the fact that we were less than 21 when he was filling for his green card. 2. We all have wifes and some have children but not legally married does that help in anyway 3. If my dad petition for us how long will it take before we can be given visa. Is there anyway you can help. Please we need your expert advice infact things are not working well for us, two of us were disengaged from our banking job few years back we are suffering thanks. Was that why you added you contact details before? Anyway......... |
