If i dont know why will i be saying it. do not be offended. I just wanted to share my experience....it happened... the idea of the 28 days is just to make sure you have something to show you can take charge when you are in the uk for studies. mind you the British embassy officials are aware that some people borrow money and keep in this personal bank accounts to show as prove and also some of them dont even return back after study. my brother was sponsored by a company with branches in Italy and even in UK. the account statement bears the name of the owner of the Company and the address of the owner is the the company address.
BANK STATEMENT

NAME OF ACCOUNT HOLDER: DR. BROWN OKAFOR
ADDRESS; OXYGEN ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION COMPANY..

SAME details applies to all documents like the official sponsorship letter. the reason for the sponsorship must be stated. this was how it was done. but we placed our trust in God.

i think what they want to see is if you have paid your fee and how you will be sponsored.
do not be offended my friend.
This is why i said before that you probably don't know the status of that company, a company with branches in Italy and the UK is a multinational company and qualified to sponsor any student. You make it look as if the company is a local one.

You really need to read post careful and understand it before jumping in to argue, if you haven;t heard about 28days rule then i don't know what you have been reading all along.
Are you surprise. Well. It sounds difficult to believe but its d truth. I just told you the steps he used. This company is an Oil servicing firm. Do not doubt bt try to make your own research. I want you to help me out by doing your own personal research. Thanks.
I don't need to do any research, is either you don't know how your brother got his visa or you don't know the status of that company.
The tuition fee was paid by the company and a letter of sponsorship was issued to him and my parents also wrote a letter of identification and acknowledgement of the sponsorship. Also der data pages and visa pages. The company also provide him with all der documents and a 6month bank statement was given to him. And he got is visa. Am saying this because i never heard of the 28 days not until recently. I see alot of people using personal accounts. I insisted the money be paid to my account but the company said they cant do so. That d company official sponsorship letter covers its all. I am kinda scared bt am trusting in God.
I'm not sure you knew how your brother got his visa.
My brother completed his Masters in RGU last year. He was sponsored by a company that is not a multi national company, and i have visited the UK before with this company's full sponsorship . I believe what the UK embassy pple need is a genuine proof that you can pay and take care of your self while you study. I made will be going for my Masters this September. Am praying and fasting for good result. Still waiting 4 d 15 working days. Remember God is the key to all success. Anybody going to southwales holla @ me. Please guys what do you think about company sponsorship or individual sponsorship. Why do you need anybody's opinion again?

kingmayor: On this forum we strongly advice doing it yourself. An agent can pack unverifiable documents with your application which may delay it unnecessarily. If you realy submit authentic documents by yourself am sure your visa will be issued without delay

Qaslay: Thanks. But on my online form, I stated that I have an old passport with me and I also entered the passport number. I hope leaving it out will not be interpreted as an attempt to hide something since I already mentioned that I have an old passport (that has not expired) with me.
Oh ok! in that case include both..to avoid any trouble.

SAT1: Dont just risk it, if u do, u will definitely loose ur application fee. 78k no be small money if u ask me. UKBA knows nothing next to complete money and genuine papers. So if u dont av ur complete fund I can categorically tell u that u r just putting ur app fee on the line for nothing sake. Fine , u can use ur dads company name/account, but u have to declare his company as ur official sponsor and in that case the company must give u a scholarship/sponsorship letter to show to UKBA. Am sorry for being blunt, its just that I know how herculean it could be sometimes to raise evn 1k in Naija here ni.
That is not true and will not work as his daddy's company is not a multi-national one

Qaslay: Hi Justwise and others, I'm to submit my application soon. Should I submit the two international passports with me? The old one hasn't expired, but it will in less than 6month, so I got another one. Please I need your advice on this. Urgent please

NB: I didn't use the old one at all, but the empty pages were all stamped at the immigration office..

Thanks
Since the old one was not used at all then submit only the new one

Chuksxy: Hey guys I need help concerning my visa application. My dad owns a company and He is the sole signatory to the account. so we plan on using the bank statements for his company. my tuition fees have also been paid as well as my accommodation fees. My dad also set up an account for me (it holds around roughly 4000 pounds) I also plan to submit the bank statement for this as well. The Money has also been held for the 28 day period. I've also filled the forms and have all my necessary documents ready. I'm 18 by the way and got admission into the university of Manchester. Is there a chance of a refusal.........please can someone help me out here..... cry
Using your Daddy's company account is a bad idea, you can risk it if you want.
It is funny that a lot of you guys still don't see this for what it is. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION.
The UK just wants an "added revenue" stream. The economy is in "shambles". They need all the money they can get. They know the bond will only guarantee more visa inquiries since NIGERIANS ALREADY SPEND more than that to "ARRANGE" visas anyway. The expectation is that visa applications will increase and they'll probably see less than 30% return to collect their "bond" back.
Another garbage, when was the last time you read about the UK economy situation?

360command: To those who wonder how many Britons in Nigeria or to those who disbelieve that Britons do not troop into Nigeria, think differently. Life is not easy for citizens in their own country and one of the reasons an individual will live his/her country to another country is to seek better living and comfort of any kind. Now if I(A British, American, European or chinese) can come to W.Africa and be receiving $5000 or more monthly better than where i was in my own country, I think its a better been here than another place where i work my ass to be paid.

I have met British , Chinese who says that they do not fit into their country system and coming to Africa has been the best moment for them.

I think you are making things you here, how many British citizens will choose Nigeria as the first country to run to because things are bad in the UK? How many are paying millions to come and study in Nigeria or do anything humanly impossible to stay in Nigeria?

Yes because they can get away with just anything as long as they have money to bribe Nigerian officials.

Only student Visa needs an appointment

If you're going to VFS to submit, please go with the online form (submitted one with barcode) print out. The amount you'll pay will be written on it (first Page)
Excuse you!! They are not begged to do nada. They are here because they are paid to be here. If they don't like it in naija, why are they still there? I don't see anyone putting s gun on their heads forcing them to stay.

@topic
This is just a money making revenue for the British. Anyone that thinks it has anything to do with illegal immigration is dreaming. Won't they make interest on the so called bonds even for people who actually go back home?

The best way to "show" them is to actually deter nigerians from going there by placing an "unforgiving" tax on flights to the uk from naija. If flights to the uk become hiked to like 600, 000, and nigerians reduce holiday shopping, revenue stream for BA and virgin atlantic drops, no one will teach them before they start offering free rebates to nigerians and the cancellation of the bond
You are really clever you know? So the solution is to hike ticket price that will affect every Nigerian? And how will Nigerian govt do that? Force BA to increase their ticket price or what?

mind you, I have been buying from them and they send my goods on schedule. I also included all the evidence of previous transactions.

from the explanation i got from them, their new number wasnt updated on their letterhead
You are the business owner and pay yourself about 350k monthly? Have you contacted the company to complain about the non-existing phone number on the invitation letter they issued you?

moufpeas: Is the. Tier 4 sponsor's address dsame as primary site of study?
It depends, some schools have more than 1 or 2 campuses, so if you are studying at one of the off-campuses then that is your primary address while your sponsor's address is the main campus.
