shakarababie: Hello guys. @vicjustice @justwise Goodmorning
Asking for a friend. She just submitted her application on Friday.but there's something bothering her. She's using her mums bank statement. Her mum has bn operating her account for 6 months. Sometimes there ll be a lot of money in it, sometimes not a lot as she's a business woman. She had about 15,000 dollars in the account which was there for 28 working days then on the 30th day her debtor deposited. 10000 dollars and the next day the account statement was printed. Do u think she ll have a problem and d depositors names as they are different depositors. Would that also be a problem.? Thanks guys. x
How much is her school fees and where is her school located? In London or outside London?

Dis Guy:
sometimes i get iffy when people start taking things private,
i was hoping the whole thing will be discussed on the thread if/when it eventually kicked off
Hate it when people do that, you get that suspicious feeling when people started dropping their numbers or email addresses for offline chat.

naiko: @ justwise,am renewing my tourist visa (had 6 months that just expired),salary's over 150k
The 28days thing got nothing to do with visiting visa, its for students visa only.

As long as the money in your account agrees with your salary then you got nothing to worry about.
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 11:54am On Apr 14, 2013
naiko: @justwise,i have 930k.have kept in account for about 35 days, though my salary just dropped in2 the same account 4 days ago(making it over a million).can i still go ahead and apply with these or do i need to wait anoda 28 days.(i don't want it 2 look like i paid in Money at the last minute, atleast the money was paid in from workplace).this is for about2 years renewal oo.
What kind of visa are you applying for and what is your actual salary?

Square65: I am thinking that will be too 'diluted' in the romance section. I think its also suitable here since its still part of 'life as a student in the usa except if there are restrictions as to whether posts here must be about tips on jobs, academics, business, etc

I don't just see why romance part of life in the usa does not fit in well here ... but then you are the man in charge

There is a reason why you have Romance, education, job etc sections in nairaland. What has chatting up girls got to do with travel or visa application?

Romance part of life will be discussed in Romance section
Mine is about my Appeal and 4 other members of my family that received refusal on different conditions.
One thing I learnt from here was that; Read & Meet requirements and NEVER use fake information.

With no help from anyone, I appealed all the 5 refusals each after the other, stating why the refusal was wrong with proofs base on epistle of ECO. I won all the 5 appeals between Nov 2012 and Feb 2013.
Congratulations, that is really good result from you.

Dis Guy: really? i didn't even know that last post was related to the thread until i read the whole thing again

will try to email those that are still active on nairaland
I'm not surprised that it ended like that though, followed that thread then and did not have a good feeling about an individual involved in the planning.

chipmunkey: I am not asking for money from anyone.
Whoever contacts any Nairaland member individually as regards this thread should disregard such requests.
This thread is solely for educational purpose and whoever suspects my person of being of questionable character should at least endeavor to know mw first.

I expect @Justwise to digg up evidences of me collecting money from any individual before pointing fingers.
If not then @Justwise has some apologies to make.

#more to come.

Dis Guy: https://www.nairaland.com/894895/touring-africa-come-along-south

something similar here not sure if it took off

seems as muc has people want to do stuff like this theres always some hesitation perharps funds, cultural difference or blah

i see people from other countries doing this very often- very random people who have never met each other
I doubt it kicked off, judging by the last complain in that thread it seems that someone was duped.

My advice to people getting involved in this one is.... don't hand your money to the op, he has been exposed here before as somebody with a questionable character, he is basically one of those dodgy visa agents

Mystiqme: This thread needs to be revived for extra-curricula activities. wink
For instance, instead of quarreling about whether na yankee or naija babes better pass on the visa thread, this would be a perfect place to do it.
Also people can ask questions on off-visa matters , e.g accommodation, buying a car, cheapest ways of getting a phone or snagging (a) babe(s) without the risk of Commander Justwise hiding our posts..lol
Those i highlighted will be done in Romance section, not here.

funmikosoko: Keep up the good work on this thread,I am always looking foward 2get a notification on this thread cos it educates me on visa issues.
Pls I need the professionals in the house to pls give me ideas of d detailed documents I'll be needing for my UK settlement visa.
My husband is a Nigerian but born and bread in the UK,I visited him about 2 diff times in London n he also visited me in Nigeria about 2-3times too,n we also traveled to Egypt together b4 we got married last year.I stopped working in october 2012,while I got married in Nov 2012,I travelled back with my husband to London after our wedding in Nov n I spent 4months as I still have a 2years valid visa. I am back to Nigeria now but to file for my settlement visa. Please I need ur advice on wat documents myself n my husband need to provide, and also how much do I need to av in my acct. My husband's salary is £2000 per month.
Your husband's salary a lone is good enough to meet the financial requirement, you don't need to present your own bank statement, the main issue here is to proof that your marriage is genuine and to do that you need to present a list of documents...for example...email exchanges, phone call list, chat history, gifts, flight ticket used when you visited each other, pictures takes together, marriage certificate..etc the list can not be exhausted, you present as much document as you have to proof that this is not just sham marriage but for real.

Your husband also need to present proof of accommodation..tenancy agreement or mortgage paper and his bank statement showing that he earns up to 18.000 a year.

renegade85: Hi again, that sucks but I guess it's inevitable. I'll have him speak to a solicitor.
From your knowledge, will they go after his bank account...I think that's the most important question he's trying to query.
Oh yeah, also, what will they do to his passport? Just an exit stamp or another stamp saying something like "Overstayed"? Thanks
I don't think anybody can tell you if they will go after his account or not, it depends on what happens at the airport 'if' he is stopped.

His passport will be stamped for sure and if he makes any further application it will be automatically refused.

fiscalcliff: Oga justwise, thanks for your reply
Swift and straight to the point
Regarding you second reply, does this apply also to STUDY VISAS to cross over from the UK and go on to countries like Norway, Germany or some few EU countries which still offer free education or is it just only visiting visas?
Thanks in advance
Yes you can apply from the UK to study in those countries.

renegade85: No he hasn't.
No they're not! He's paying in installments.
He won't be taking any money; maybe just a hundred but nothing stupidly large. So is it true about the fact that they can trace his account and close it? That'll be a problem with his job etc.
You said he'll have to explain how he came? That might be a problem seeing as he used another name or don't they care? lol

p.s. Thanks for the quick reply
Whatever name he used he still need to explain to the immigration at the airport how he came into the UK 'if' stopped.
Travel › Re: 10 Years Ban For Overstaying In The UK. And Migrants Coming To The UK. by justwise(mod): 7:28pm On Apr 10, 2013
renegade85: Hi guys, I've got a query. I know someone trying to head back to naija after overstaying for about 8 years. He didn't come with his passport but managed to get a new biometric one made here. His question is what will happen on his way back? He has made a life here and actually works in IT so he's able to keep his job even when he goes back and work remotely. Problem is: I've seen on other forums that if you have a loan they'll detain you, or they'll seize all the money you have because it was earned "illegally". Is all this true? Will they close his bank account and all his direct debits etc because he still plans on honoring the payments. If they do, he can still work but the money won't be going into any account :s
Has the person been in trouble with the police or immigration since that 8yrs?

Is the loan company after him? 'If' he is stopped at the airport then he has to explain how he came into the UK.

If you are carrying large amount of money and you can't explain how you got the money then it will be seized until you proof the source.
