Then, how safe would it be if it's Nigerian made?
Would you dare to fly in an airplane of such design if it's "Naija production"?

Well, such design, irrespective.., could increase the rate if acrophobia (that's the fear of height)

True that.

You have to submit your application in person because your fingerprint will be taken.

I'm not sure that the issue of NYSC certificate stuff, people here will answer that.

maryini: hello people,

Is it possible to get a vistor's visa when ur trip is to be sponsored by a company?

Also pls can anyone help me with a draft of what a letter of sponsorship from a company should look like? specifically showing reasons why the company's fund should be spent on a private trip...

thanks in advance
Is the trip job related or part of your company's program?

temmytanny: I pray this thread isnt locked so that people can start learning how to do things on their own(agentless). Wht and what you would need for the upcoming application process and How to cut your pictures, minimum qualification etc.
The above post is the whole idea of this thread^^.

Lets not derail the main idea of this thread with something else.

Prayers, bible verses, motivational writing and speeches all have been done. Now can we go back to the real issue?

Travel › Re: Arik Air Ticket Agents Scam by justwise(mod): 3:41pm On Apr 01, 2013
Dr Muzungu: The thing about REPUTABLE agents is...

They CAN sell tickets cheaper than the airline, here is how:

1. Airlines usually give better rates to agents, sometimes even up to 10% below their own price

2. Agents then instead of adding these 10% to the price add just 5%, and you buy the ticket about 5% cheaper compared to the airline's price

Now, agents are greedy and usually don't reduce the price but sell it at the same or even higher price.
I found that hard to believe.

Start going to heaven, you can't get that anywhere on earth.

plendil: Its funny isn't it. that alone should be a danger signal to the careful traveler.
Exactly!, airlines will not sale at lost neither will travel agents, buying from the travel agents add more to the total cost of the ticket because they have to add their own admin fees.

Dis Guy: same here, I never use agents!! don't know why but any discount advertised anywhere always seem negligible to me
and dealing with pakistanis over the phone tut tut tut
I don't believe that agents will sale the ticket cheaper than the airlines themselves. Whatever commission the airline gives to the agent will be added to the cost of the actual ticket.

r231: Funny enough I fell for the same crap 3wks ago undecided

I saw a cheap ticket online to Lagos on KLM........called and book to seats and the guy told me to pay £100 deposit over the phone and transfer the remaining £850 to their Barclays account which he gave me the account details and told me that I have 24hrs to make the payment.

Next day I called the bank to transfer £850 to this company through telephone banking and I called the guy to find out if they have seen the payment which he confirmed and told me they will call back in 2hrs to issue the ticket.

3hrs later I didn't hear from him so I called back and he said we are vey busy that he has not forgotten about me. Around 5:30pm he called and told me that there is a problem with authorisation on the £100 deposit that they are not able to obtain authorisation from the bank so I told him to hold on while I called the bank and my bank confirmed that they have authorised a payment for £100 which the company has not claimed yet so I told the lady to transfer another £100 to this people.

Later that day travel agent called again saying they have not received the new payment yet and money has already left my account. In total I have paid £1150 and no ticket so the guy said well the price has gone up now so he wants another £285 on each ticket before they can issue me a ticket. I told him to refund all my money and he said well he will deduct issue fee and I can't get a refund till about 12wks time.

Cut the long story short, no refund no ticket. I have to go and get a new ticket from KLM direct and my bank reuse to refund me too cus I was the one that authorise the transfers.

lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
Wow!!! Just like that? Personally i'm not a fan of any sort of agent, i do my bookings directly from the airline's website.

You did not report their account to the police or the bank?

mirabeelz: Hi everyone

PLEASE GUYS ADVISE,URGENTLY NEEDED

I applied for UK spouse visa on July 3rd 2012 and on October 15th I received my decision and I was not allowed entry because I didnt meet theEnglish requirement. As part of my evidence to meet the English requirement I added my Bsc degree certificate,English proficiency letter from my university,my school's four year transcript and a printed out PBS calculator which clearly showed I score 10 points and knowing that the calculator is an extension of UK NARIC operation I was more than confident I had met the rule. After reading my refusal notice it became more real to me that the PBS print out I added wasn't recognized and so I applied to UK NARIC two days after my refusal and on fast track service I got a confirmation letter from UK NARIC that my Bsc degree is of equivalent to British standards.A day after this letter I appealed with the UK NARIC letter and my school's particulars on October 18th.my appeal fee was taken up and I received a letter from AIT in December that my appeal bundle has been sent back to the UKBA:the visa office for the ECM to review within 19 weeks.I have since then not heared anything again and I am frustrated and anxious.I do know 19 weeks are not yet up but I would like to know from you honorable members on this forum if the UK NARIC letter is an ADDITIONAL or NEW evidence because I know new evidence are not allowed in appeals and also is it possible I can get the refusal to be overturned at review stage??the ECO stated in my refusal letter that I am strongly advised to add any additional supporting document which can help resolve the situation at the review stage and does go to AIT for appeal,or should I reapply??.All advice and help is greatly appreciacted.
I will advice you to wait for the 19wks you were given, since you have submitted the English language test result its possible that the case will not go to tribunal and will overturned. If it delays longer than you can reapply though this is costly considering the cost of new application.

joxiri: My point is u were very negative and dismissive of his post from the very onset and its not pleasing to the eyes at all
This travel section used to be quite lively now threads are getting closed as soon as they are open
I understand u are a moderator and u got to keep an eye but at the same time let stuff flow
Not every stuff that comes across is dodgy brov further explanation of his situation could have shed more light
But he wasn't even being given that opportunity
joxiri? You are talking absolutely rubbish, i did not stop him from explaining anything, i aired my view about his case because i don't believe in telling people what they want to hear even when i know that its wrong just to be seen as a 'nice guy' by people like you.

He wasn't given a chance how? Did i asked him to stop posting or delete his post?

Show me a single thread that was supposed to be opened that i closed, just show me a single genuine thread here that i closed or called the poster a scammer.
