stepone: This pple need money to bust up their economy. U pay in pounds and u are reimbursed in Naira. Making gain on ur money with no interest. That is not true, you pay in naira, you get paid back in naira, pay in pounds and get paid back in pounds |
You are a dunce, your thinking and comment above is daft... Britain is not starving ... It will be an effective way of curbing illegal migration, if implemented well! They dont need the money to feed on or prop thier economy ... It is simply an "insurance" to cushion the strain on the public resources likely to happen if people default on thier entry visa terms and conditions! If you abide by the regulations and respect the terms and conditions of your visa, you will get your money back! What difference is this to going to borrowing some money in a financial institution who insists on a collateral?!
1000 Likes |
bee444: Ok. But note, the Britons do not openly criticize their govt regardless of what is happening in their country or how bad and corrupt their govt is. They support their own and are very patriotic. You seem to be British than Nigerian. That is a lie, they openly and confrontationally criticize their Govt..on radio, TV, newspapers, social networking sites and even on the street. |
I Hate 9ja: @ Justwise.....i and few folkz hasnt been able to access page 65 of the dv 2014 thread....plz help us out.....Nothing wrong with that page, its accessible |
bee444: I have for a very long time been observing your comments. You seem to agree with anything the UK govt is doing; their policies, aggression, bias, discrimination to name a few. I have nothing against you, but you don't just support anything without critically weighing the matter. You said you have no clue about a post a guy posted, quick question, are you even a Nigerian? ..No disrespect.More Nigerian than you are. |
Flytefalls: It's quite sad really. The Guardian did a series on poverty in London and it really shows that the government have no clue how to handle this crisis effectively. They cap housing-benefit (largely immigrant-oriented in London), evict loads of families who can't afford the raised rents, but then councils/tax-payers end up paying more cash than before to house them in hotels/hostels because by law these people cannot be homeless. Eeek. I think the money issue applies to short term stay..tourist and business visiting visa holders and the money will be paid back when you leave the UK |
bee444: That was sarcasm.Thought as much. |
Rexxie: YES AND "NIGERIA AS WELL!!!"Not aware that Nigeria does the same. |
I first heard of this story during breakfast with a colleague yesterday. She (a brit) laughed at it and feared it could paint the country poorly. It is a majorly flawed logic for a country like UK. How much will the bond be? Who gets the interest? Will genuine visitors not be repulsive to any idea of reducing their net holiday money? What is left of UK anyway? things are saturated. What if other countries replicate this to UK citizens?
South Africa has being doing this for ages, that did not stop people traveling to SA even with their high crime rate. |
jackbauersballs: Noted.No worries. |
jackbauersballs: Who the hell edited my post? I made a Yoruba joke cos I'm Yoruba ffs! Wtf is wrong with this stewpid mod?Your yoruba joke will generate into tribal war on this thread now, so to avoid this thread been derailed i have decided to edit your post. |
Freiburger: Don't forget the terrorists are also be ready to pay a fee.Paying the fees does not mean no check on individual risk to their country, the fees is just a deterrent for people who wish to overstay their visas |
repair9ja: @justwise you didn't reply to my question.That i'm not sure of. |
gunpoint: ^^^Can you explain what sort of visa the club will sponsor him for? Will also appreciate the link to the rule regarding playing for non-premier league teams. |
presiade: I think what you can do is to go with your Tier4 student Visa, work harder to make your uni team and build your pro football profle, then after your degree you can sta y back in the UK to get a team if you still wish. He can't be issued a work permit to play for any premier league team without playing atleast 75% for Nigeria, i 'think' the same rule applies to championship and league 1-3 teams |
jaydacorsair: wow thanks bro. that means a No for me since I cant play professional football there. Please What visa can permit me to play for a professional side? adaobi123: im guessing you will need a work visaGot your answer there. Though you can't get work visa to play football without a club signing you. |
yemilasko: @adesiogo.I'm really hapi fPlease try and use laptop or another device to retype this, the characters are awful, i can't read and understand what you are trying to say, it full of throughout |
jaydacorsair: thanks for your reply. Yes another BSC because I graduated with a 2.8 GP (B.Agric) and wanna study comp sci. Right decision i mean if its easy to get a club there. Enyimba Feeder team don't pay much but my parents are capable to take care of everything. Im 21 years old and my dad said he will be supporting me 1k pounds monthly if I travel. You can play in your university football team if your school have one but you can't play for a professional club because your visa will not permit you. |
There is nothing new here, South Africa does the same thing. |

Is there any contact details that any of u guys know??Phone: 0870 606 7766 Textphone: 0800 389 8289 (the contact centre also accepts calls by text relay and other similar services) Call the number if is not the right department ask them to redirect your call to appropriate department. |
olu16: hi justwise and vicjustice! please i need your help...im planning to apply for this course msc engineering project management at university of bournemouth. i read on the website that theres a 40 week paid work experience/internship (though optional) so my questions:Yes international students are eligible to apply, your student visa is for 2yrs so it will be enough for the work experience and your main course. |
thanishn: i was thinking the same but by doing that i am going to wait for 28 more days which might be a problem and this might increase the risk on my current visa. If the UKBA curtails my visa within that 28 days then i have to leave UK and then apply which is a hassle.Did you read anywhere that the 28days rules applies when one is applying within the countries? I guess you can call or email UKBA to clarify that. |
