Well, we put in the appeal 16th january and got an acknowledgement letter 25th feb. Which says they expect to hear from BHC latest 6th July. They didn't send any court hearing date or anything? What do you think? I know I'm going to have to wait anyway I have no choice.
The lawyer didn't send in d emails with the appeal or my english language test. Although I have sent the test result online. What do U̶̲̥̅̊ think are d chances?

That was a big mistake by your lawyer, good that you have sent the test result but your lawyer should have included all the email communications. Did you apply for paper hearing or oral hearing?

Can you check your point number 2 again because i don't think that is right, if you have regular inflow and irregular outflow then that should not be a prob, it will be a prob when its the other way round.

I have a few questions. If one is refused a tourist visa to visit a friend, (even though he has once studied in the Uk, without any immigration issues and stuff) can he apply with the same documents, a few days after he receives his passport, provided the corrections on the refusal letter have been made?
2. If he said NO in a previous application in the part where it says "Do you have friends or family in the Uk?" Can he say YES in the new application, explaining his initial error due to availability of the full details of the friend studying in the UK or extended family member?
Please note: The friends just happened to be room mates he met, while studying, and they are not permanent residents.

I just need an advice on how to go about this. Thank you for your prompt responses.

I think the question is...why were you refused a visa? You are not currently working but who is financing the trip?

Limited right to appeal means that you got no right of appeal technically.

Winnie A: Okay it will written refused under sec 320(7A) to show is 10yrs ban, am asking because i want to apply for student visa and will love to know if my twice refusal will affect my present application.

If the two refusal got anything to do with forgery/fake, misleading info or withholding vital info that is important to your application then you may have to worry but if the refusal got nothing to do with the above listed offences then you got nothing to worry about.

That is a general comment in all visa refusal.

I was doing a weekend intensive with any NGO and was later employed in jan and given so kind of leave to travel and the british questioned why i should be given leave when i just got employment. and my previous application was with my ex-firm so i have been rejected twice but there was limited appeal so i couldn't appeal.

It will not be written that way, if you are refused under paragraph 320 (7A) then you are looking at 10yrs ban

swaggaprince: all d docs used where all mine,its just d statement of account dat was different cos d statement of account dat was added to d docs d amount that was stated in it at that time I submitted was not up to the amount that was in my account.

Well...keep your fingers crossed. Fraud is fraud whether its just one document added or a whole lot of them.

swaggaprince: An agent did the whole processing of all d relevant documents for me and he also arranged for the account statements for d applicant and he used his personal account for the sponsor,that why am wondering if they will verify the amount stated in the statement of account of both the applicant and the sponsor.

Why would you expect to be given a visa if the documents you submitted is not yours? That is fraud. Well just hope they don't check at all.

Its not just about submitting the documents they asked for, sometimes it has to do with the fact that those documents are not original or the money in the account has been borrowed or planted in the account just for visa purposes.

If you have submitted genuine documents then no prob but why are you worried about them confirming those documents?

I thought since she was having problems getting it done in Ibadan, I could help by telling her how and where i got mine registered.

4everGod1: I need people to desist from the use of the word 'scammer' to describe the accused forthwith. If someone tabled a complaint on NL and you do not have access to the entire details then make no comment until you do. I applaud Aigbe for creating the thread but using a rather wrong title such as Scam Alert shows a ruling had already been reached before it even came on NL. I have been trying to sensitize all of us on the right way to go about matters especially in a sane country except if what we all are saying is that Nigeria is an insane country. In a sane country you are innocent until proven guilty which was why i took time out to balance what i heard by getting in touch with the accused and thereafter made my own conclusions.

Same as before everyone is just sitting and waiting to get some info and not actually doing anything tangible to assist in clearing the air and yet they feel they have the right to preside over this matter. Anyway for those who care to know, I just finished communicating with the accused and although this is not part of this matter directly i still choose to paste this information on here so you would know that she is trying to clear the air not because all of you labeled her a scammer and shame is propelling her to do this but because she is not a scammer and this whole matter had to do with bruised ego (which i do not want to give details as they are too complex)


She has sent a western union to fhemmy for $200 with a balance of $500

She has also sent $150 each to two members who paid admin fees towards her estate project.

She is waiting on the third lady to confirm her info before she can send her money to her.

So we all need to chill with the name calling. besides if she wanted to scam anyone why would she use her real name to do it and why would she give out her real telephone numbers or her real home address? Lets stop to think for a minute. Based on Aigbes post i know his version of this story and i have heard her side as well. In every story there are 3 sides to it, His side, Her side and then there is the truth..this is somewhere between his side and her side which is why i drew the conclusion i did.
