polokor60: i take back my words and give andy murray all the credits he deserve after his victory over novak in u.s open finals a couple of hours ago. Congrats andy
It takes a matured mind to say that.

jamp: Because nadal pulled out of the tournament cos of injury. He would hv won it. Nadal is tooooooooooo much
Is this a joke or what? Did Roger pulled out as well? Has Andy not beaten Nadal before? Has Novak not beaten Nadal before?

They can now eat their words.

Dharkchild: Thanks. Would be flying tomorrow as a first timer to the UK. U never know how this little piece of info can save someone. Thanks
You will be fine, the moment you go through immigration and pick your luggage just head straight to airport customer service, they are very helpful and will answer just any question. If you are connecting flight they know how you will go about it, if you are using coach or train they will point you to the right direction.

Sunbassen: Then he has to forget about UK for life!
That is the decision he has to make himself but remind him this...he has to keep using that fake age with other embassies as well else........
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 10:29pm On Sep 10, 2012
Sunbassen: So, what's your final advice on this?
Wrong time to ask for advice, he made the mistake already, he is not going to get another passport with real age.
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 10:19pm On Sep 10, 2012
Sunbassen: He's sticking to the new age already. He's only skeptical about applying and wants to know if his previous records with the embassy in 2005 will still hunt him since the finger scan wasn't in force then
His record will still be with UK embassy, no doubt about that, the percentage of it hunting him is 50/50, the problem with what he did is that, he stand a chance of being found out anytime he applies for visa to the UK no matter how long it takes.
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 10:07pm On Sep 10, 2012
Sunbassen: He was refused due to insufficient funds
Your friend should pray long and hard that he doesn't get found out, he will be heading towards 10yrs ban.

He has to keep using that fake age all his life as far as dealing with UK embassy is concerned.
Travel › Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 2 by justwise(mod): 9:48pm On Sep 10, 2012
Sunbassen: A friend is having a challenge currently and needs a solution. He was refused UK visa in 2005 on his old passport before the finger-scan commenced. He changed to epassport in 2007 with a new age and place of birth but his names are still intact. On the new passport he has already got two schengen visas; he travelled and came back. Now, he wants to apply to the UK and he's not sure what will become of him so he needs the candid advice or suggestion of this honourable house.
Why was he refused a visa in 2005?

okolodaniel: @justwise, good Morning!

Just got my visa this morning.

Was wondering if I'd need another bank statement printed since they didn't return the one I used in my application. Will they ask for this when I arrive the UK? How does it work?

Thanks for your help.
Congratulations!

Just print another bank statement since they did not return the one you submitted.

princemol: I was scared too had to switch off d TV at some point buh I'm glad she bounced back as a true champion she is known for. Am really happy 4 her.
After first set when she seems to be running away with it, i was relaxed, then Azerenka came back fighting like a wounded lion and things changed, i could not watch, i turned the volume to zero because i don't even want to hear the commentators suggesting that the game is over for Serena grin grin

I keep refreshing BBC text update to see the scoreline, when i saw 5-6 to Serena i managed to watch again and wow!!!!!

It was a great game, painful to watch as Serena's fan, i saw her losing the game and could not watch until when it was 5-6 to Serena.

I could not even post here then, just hoping that Serena get her game back, i keep refreshing BBC page just to see the latest score, only when i saw 5-6 to Serena that i put up the volume again to watch the last stage.
Sports › Re: Tennis US Open 2012.. by justwise(m): 12:29am On Sep 10, 2012
At one point i stopped watching and put the volume to zero as i couldn't watch Serena lose the match. Mistake after mistake, damm! this is killing.

Thank God she finally get the job done.

Travel › Re: Nigerian Students In Canada: How Do You Survive? by justwise(mod):
LoveKing: Hi Fhemmy. I've been following you for many years now. I dont think ill have any worries getting help from you. This is were i need you.
I want you to help me verify this agency (immigration and living) in vancouver. I cant put their no up here but i could send it to your email. They want to help me get a Visitors TRV but the amount is $1800 for individual class.
I've been told many times i could do it myself and i know i can but what are my chances; i'm late 20s so varsity or college might rule me out, i got 3rd class what masters or pgd can i do with that, im not self employed or employed inshort im going for nysc november. Thats why i resorted to use an Agency cos they told me they have 95% success rate and they contact the high commission on their applicants cases. Would i even stand a chance if i do it myself? Coz truthfully i'll want to extend my TRV in the required times for the permanent residency. And i also got a contact in B.C who can give me an accomodation in vancouver. Bro i've been on this immigration thing since 2002 so i just want to read your opinion cos i'm planning to begin in a few weeks time, its long overdue.
Please don't take this the wrong way but do you expect the agent to tell you that they have less success rate?

You are about to waste that $1800, you ca not legally change a Canadian visiting visa to permanent visa.

You hardly qualify for visiting visa because you don't have any strong tie to Nigeria at the moment, you got no job, no business and no concrete paper evidence to present to Canadian embassy, lets be honest here.

Yes the agent will definitely get you some forged papers to make you look qualified but that could be the start of your nightmare.

If its legally possible to change visiting visa to permanent then why do people pay millions in school fees just to enter Canada while they could simply get visiting visa and change it to permanent one when they get there and study for free?

If you are not qualified for Canadian visa then you are not qualified, agent can not get you anything, you will only loose your money and time.
