Atlantis85: Plus while you may not gain technical skills directly relevant to your course from volunteering, you most definitely will gain interpersonal, transferable skills which are as important in uk (or anywhwere apart from nig) as gaining technical experience. Volunteering, esp for community services and all that will show the employer you take initiative, arent really about just financial gratification, are willing to work with people and building team spirit, etc. Also, they are considerably easier to get than a full time job and may make it easy to get a leg in the uk labour market. All in all like justwise said, it is very important. Goodluck!

Donxavier: I'm still in shopping mode but for starters I know there is a Careers in Africa Exhibition coming up in London by October. For the record, I have to ask is there a career fair website? if there is please kindly tell me. As far as I know info on career fairs pass by word of mouth mostly which means one needs to check with the career section in one's school and put one's ear on the ground. As we have discussed before, have a professional go through your CV, apply early and widely,prepare well, Go for interviews and get lucky.

Internships don't matter that much, this place is not like Canada where you need the 'Canadian experience'. Besides why pursue internships when you can pursue relentlessly getting a job, both part time for now and then permanent employment for the later. Getting those are basically the same process and we are all going to neeed great grace with the current recession and UKBA rules to get something decent either way.

I heard M&S is a great place to start for part time. God help us all

Therefore satisfied that d ECO s decision s correct N in accordance wit d immigration RULES. D. Reefusesal notice carried wit it advice. About uy clirent statutory fight of appeal agaionst D decision to an independent adjudicator in D UK. There s no record of ur cliient exercising. His right of appeal . If utr client has nt already done so D 28 day time limit has passed and this matter must now be regarded as close.Your client is of course free to submit a fresh applicatiion any time at any of our visa application centres.if he decides to reapply , an attempt should be made to adress D concerns outlined in d refusal notice

Dharkchild: Hi guys, I arrived Sheffield today. it was a very smooth flight. Lagos to Schiphol (Amsterdam) to Manchester then a bus a school arranged coach picked me up from Manchester to Sheffield. I called my Landlord and met him at the apartment. it was cooler than expected, thank God i booked arranged. The people are really nice if you are a friendly person yourself.

Immigration: Just collected my landing card, asked for school and course, thats all. they didnt even ask for any document

Weather: its was 12 degrees today, too cold for me, tho people are saying its not yet cold. I hope to acclamatise soon sha.

i was also favored, i met some salford babes (Nigerians) at Manchester airport who gave me a Lebara sim card with 5pounds credit free, they said they just wanted to welcome me.

anyway simply go to www.whois.net and put in the name of their website in order to get the information of whom created it in JUNE 2012....you will get a certain email used in many other scam: f g c e n u g u @yahoo.com (no space) and also an address in the US and a phone number.

you simply have to google that email address to confirm that it is a scam, as the email is mentionned in a few 419baiters website, also the tel number is also mentionned in other scams (fake bank website).

thank God for Justwise who was able to warn you in time so that you didnt make a mistake........ i wonder how many other who are not on NL are being scammed like that....oh well!
