In addition, she should try as much as possible not to scratch the tummy, tho it can be tempting. Ori worked fine for me, 2 pregnancies no visible stretch marks

I'm Muslim and yes, January 1st isn't officially our new year but for the purpose of being polite and civil, I respond to new year greetings. It doesn't reduce my faith in any way whatsoever. I don't wish my fellow Muslims happy new year. We live in a mixed society, we should try to tolerate one another's differences. If christians can wish us Barka-da-Sallah and even join in eating the ram killed for Eid-ul-adha, what's the big deal with wishing someone a happy new year?

Hey belleful mamas. its been a while Congrats to all the new mamas and papas in the house. Its so amazing how someone so little can make such a huge impact on our lives. May they always be our sources of joy .
Byvan u too funny o, ori for pharmacy ke? I don't even trust the packaged ones sef. I prefer my ori village style from old women.

As for baby products, I tried Johnsons products for my first turned out to be fake. You see so many different types of containers in the shops, one can't even tell which is original. So if you're gonna ue johnsons, better get it from trusted high end malls like park n shop, shoprite etc. For my second though I stuck with made in naija products jare. Afterall oyinbo products were made for oyinbo babies

A 16-year-old avoided spending time in prison for killing four people in a car accident in June after the judge bought his lawyers' argument that he was the victim of wealth.

CBSDFW reports that Ethan Couch was sentenced in a Fort Worth, Tex. juvenile court to 10 years probation for the drunk driving crash that ended the lives of youth pastor, Brian Jennings; Hollie and Shelby Boyles; and Breanna Mitchell.

Prosecutors asked that Couch serve 20 years in prison. His blood alcohol level was .24, three times the legal limit for an adult.

Psychologist G. Dick Miller testified for the defense that Couch suffered from "affluenza," a condition in which "his family felt that wealth bought privilege and there was no rational link between behavior and consequences," KHOU reported.

Miller said Couch's parents never punished him for his behavior, even when, in a separate incident, cops found him passed out in a car with a naked 14-year-old girl.

As part of his sentence, Couch will be sent to a private counseling center that costs $450,000, which will be paid for by his father.

Money and privilege has helped defendants avoid serious prison time for violent crimes before. In a particularly clear example, cited
by journalist Glenn Greenwald, hedge fund manager Martin Joel Erzinger served just 90 days in jail after driving the car that seriously injured a bicyclist and fled the scene of the accident in 2010.

The district attorney in the case charged Erzlinger with two misdemeanors instead of a felony, noting that "felony convictions have
some pretty serious job implications for someone in Mr. Erzinger's profession."

My 2 1/2 year old has been passing out black stool for some time now. I dewormed him a few months back and it went back to normal. Recently he had severe malaria, he just finished his dose of antimalarial and his stool is totally black. Has anyone experienced this?

Wife's EDD is a week from now and the doctor said she is going thru a CS,although my wife's vagina is tight cos she was marrried as a virgin,the scan showed that my baby is 2.9kg and there is no breach,pls. Advise on what to do cos I am not concerned about the cost of the CS but the risk and my wife is fat so the tendency of her stomach going down is giving a problem,pls I need advice from the house

I've told my story on another thread where a doctor suggested cs for no other reason but the fact that I was uneasy during the pelvic check( finger poking). This to me isn't enough reason for recommending the surgery, but I agreed to it cos of my naivete. Though there were no complications and my scar is next to invisible, I couldn't help but think I was manipulated to do the surgery. Most private hospital are after their profit these days. Their surgical service was nice sha, even though the doctor in charge was on his phone throughout the procedure .
I would advice you to seek other medical opinions. That she got married as a virgin doesn't mean she can't give birth the natural way. She might have some tears, but that heals faster than CS. I would only support CS if there's an emergency. Hope this isn't coming in too late.

Lols. I sure felt like that shortly after my surgery after I was in mad pain, felt manipulated too. But alls well that ends well. I continue to give God the glory for giving me 2 wonderful kids.

For my second baby I vowed not to go through that route again. I'll only do CS in an emergency. I used the same hospital and they were trying to suggest CS again, I no gree o.

Misleading topic. The fire took place in a conoil filling station opposite NNPC Towers, Central Business District, Abuja. NNPC mega station is along suleja road, not even clost to where the fire broke out.

Interesting stories. From most post I've read, one thing stood out for me; the fact that most, if not all ladies hate the finger poking procedure. It was cos of this that my doctor manipulated me into having a cs even though everything was perfectly ok.

I went for my antenatal at about 39 weeks and the doctor told me he had to do a routine pelvic check. I was very squirmish when he inserted the finger, though I didn't scream. He then proceeded to tell me to consider a cs as I was very uncomfortable with this simple procedure, how then would I push out a whole human being. He made it sound as if ALL women sit bravely through the finger poking and my reaction was completely abnormal. As a young first time mum, with an equally nervous husband, we had to comply with the doctor and go with cs.

We left for the hospital very early saturday morning. On getting there, I spoke with another doctor who asked why I'm going for cs, I wasn't due for a week, my baby was cephalic, placenta was at the right place, BP normal. I just replied it was my choice, too embarrassed to talk about d poking stuff. He kinda tried to discourage me from having the cs but we've already made up our minds.

Though we left home before dawn, I didn't get to do the cs till about 4pm. They had other emergency cs that day. The wait was hell for me, I was so nervous. By 4.30pm, my little prince was born big and healthy . The ensuing PAIN is another story on its own.

Sometimes I get angry when I think of the way the doc talked me into having the cs (knowing my HMO will surely foot the bill ), but seeing my lil baby grow into a d fine young boy he is right now, I always give thanks to God and I'll surely do it again

I taya o. This our medical system ehn! Someone with placenta previa is in the late stages of labour and they kept her for over 6 hours!!! . Thank God for safe delivery. Some ladies weren't so lucky.

Oh well, I never got the 'treat her like an egg treatment' from my husband. He was d same ol same, cept I stopped doing some chores around d house. As for d attractiveness, he was always makin fun of my bump , that was d only thing that really got bigger anyways, I was pretty much d same size all through my nine month journey, d weight gain always came after off loading

@sister Ameenah. Hope you aren't dat kinda sister that wears the hijab even inside the house o. Abeg free hijab when its just u anur hubby left alone in the house jare. Get dem skimpy tank tops and short shorts. Let the bump hang out . You'll see ur hubby's change of attitude to the romance tins in time

To those who opt for cs to avoid labour pain, I laff in french. The kind of pain that will come after the surgery is a thousand times more than the one felt during labour. Trust me, I've gone through both. If there's no medical emergency involved, cs should avoided like a plague.

N.B. I'm just obsessed with birth stories . Tis d reason why I still hang arnd d preggy section 10 mos after 'graduating' . God bless all the mothers out there.

Yes ma'am, its the same one at gbagada. I'm not sure about the registration but I think you'll have to. Babies are due for chicken pox vaccine at 12mos. Hope it helps.

debbie: Alright,guess mine has always been on Wednesdays..for the next vaccine which is when shes one year old is the chicken pox and the rest is about 20k.....so how come the 40k?.If you didn't register with them and you just come for specific vaccination,i think the money is different i think.

I didn't say d vaccine is 40k. I was just reacting to an earlier post where someone said d doctor told her to bring 40k for a vaccine . That one na confam tiff. Its 7500 in R Jolad, MMR is 4k. Our next appointment for chicken pox falls on a monday ( her first birthday )
