The hospital hardly run out of the vaccine. Its given on specific days of the week. My baby's own will be on a Monday. The name of the hospital is R-jolad in gbagada (new garage bus stop).

I guess what Nash is trying to say is test his temperament before reaching any conclusion. Try to see his reaction in certain situations. Deny him the sex and see what happens. Don't pick his calls intentionally see if he goes ballistic. This way when leaving d relationship you'll have no doubts you've made the right decision.

Hey mamas. My baby has been stooling for some days now. Its not affecting her appetite though. I plan to give her flagyl and ORT. Please does anyone know the dosage of flagyl for a 9 month old?

demmykay: @kenny just saw ur comment. No reddenning of d eyes. He actually had temperature some days back but I think its due to d catarh he has(his catarh alwys give him high temp. Presently no temperature. I actually tot its teething cos it came out more wen he was about bring out d first two teeth, but ever since den d rash is still der. Pls wat can I use to clear d rash?

I was also told the symptoms she showed were those of teething, but from medical sites I was able to tell what it was. There is no actual 'treatment' for d measles as the virus dies off eventually after like 3days but its very important to keep the temperature under check with paracetamol( I gave 4 5ml spoons per day) I also massaged her body with a cold towel to lower the temperature.
For the cough, I was told to avoid cough syrup (expectorant), so a broad spectrum antibiotic was prescribed. She was okay in about 3days but taking a close look at her skin, you can still see residual spots.

For those asking of chicken pox vaccine, moi petit princess is due for hers on her birthday it costs 7k5 in my clinic and its given along with MMR vaccine which is 4k. GH don't usually give these. They'll only give vit. A on that vaccination day.

Blendy77: My Sister take ur baby to the hospital. I experienced exactly same thing last week and mine turned out to be measles. Though I have no idea if a 5m old can contact measles at that early age sha but then my own baby was not up to 9m before contacting it and we were actually waiting for 9m to immunize them. His twin brother was immunized today but we can't rule out his contacting it as he hasn't shown any symptoms yet.

My baby had measles at about 7m. She had not been vaccinated at the time. I can't say how she got exposed to d virus, but I'm suspecting the hospital we visited 2weeks prior to the appearance of symptoms. Did a bit of reading about it, here are some things to look out for:

Consistent dry cough
Very high temperature
Reddening of eyes
Appearance of skin rash, starting from the cheek region, then it spreads across the face and body

Some of the symptoms can be mistaken for teething but if the baby's temperature is extremely high, you miight need to start paying attention to the other symptoms. Hope this helps other mums out there.

@dominique. Your friend's manner of approach to issues leaves a lot to be desired. What kind of woman confronts her husband in such a violent manner? What kind of result was she expecting with her brashness? She needs to learn how to approach matters with tact and wisdom.

Please by all means, sit her down and tell her what you heard about the knife incident, don't forget to tell her you heard it from her 3 year old. She needs to understand what she's exposing her poor kids to.

When I went to register for the antenatal, the doc told M̶̲̅ε̲̣ point blank that I'll hv to go through another cs os I had to wait at least 24 nos before conceiving again. I told them that I wish to hv a vag delivery and I knw its possible cos I've see people do it.
When I went into labour, my cervix wasn't dilating fast enough so they had to insert to ballon water thingy @tobiegal described. That widened d cervix by anoda 3cm in all, i was in labour for almost 24 hrs. Delivery was swift, took less than 10 mins and behold my lil princess

Op, you'll be surprrised to see how closed the boys wud be when they're grown. My twin sis and I used to fight so much that it somtyms left our poor mama in tears . What she used to do then was to separate us for sometime. She took us to different rooms and left us there to vent out the anger. I agree with some of the comments about the boys learning how to fight as a result of their father's spank.

There are numerous other punishments for naughty behaviour, tell them to face d wall (we call it naughty corner ), the 4 year old shud b able to understand the concept of action and consequences. Take their favorite toy away and make them understand you're doing that because of their behaviour.

My hubby used to be like tht Op's. Thisngs changed when he stayed with M̶̲̅ε̲̣ thru 20 hrs of labour and delivery of our 2nd baby. What his eyes saw ehn . Recently he was telling M̶̲̅ε̲̣ he's not sure he wants another baby again, I was like why nah, his reply : after what HE went thru during d delivery he's not sure he wants to go thru that again . I was lyk wtf!! then he changed it to 'after seeing what I went thru, he doesn't want to subject M̶̲̅ε̲̣ to such pain again'. I told him not to worry o, I can handle it . Don't think I'm done yet.

I told them my boy isn't fully potty trained and the nanny shd take him to d restroom at intervals the staff there at the time all told M̶̲̅ε̲̣ they can't do that, telling M̶̲̅ε̲̣ he shud start wearin the diaper again. He has been off diaper for over 2mos. As per edu standard, both are ok and recommend.

I saw another brand in my neighbourhood pharmacy. Its orange flavoured cod liver syrup. Can't remember d brand name but it costs N2700. I'll go back and ask for it when I'm done with 7seas I'm currently using.
