I'm sure the neighbor (an IT Administrator) who unknowingly tweeted about the event also conspired with Mr. Obama and his security team as well to fabricate stories, Better yet, when Pakistani military scrambled jets thinking they were under attack, I'm sure that was also Hollywood staged. Did I forget, the call that Mr. Obama called Pakistani president to inform of the event that happened, oops that was staged.
Manny, I was reffering to the dolts on here who dont believe that bin laden is dead not you,sir.

There is no way that raid was just staged,Obama would not risk his Presidency to make up stories grin grin

Never,ever trust abokis in anything, the pakis had him all along, put him in a mansion where he was sipping bottled water and eating mango everday,playing with all his ashawo.

even the mission was so secret that the US did not even tell the pakis, it was a real hit and run mission, even all the helicopters and gunships were painted all blk, with no USA logo on them

Pakis are probably the most dishonest ppl on earth, with all the billlions they receive from the US, they still hide terrorists, God damage their medulla oblongata grin grin grin grin grin

Anini of arabia is dead, Details.

A courier going to and fro from his compound was tracked for a year.

Navy seals went through 6 months of training to make sure no mistake was allowed

Obama ordered him to be shot not taken alive

bin laden used women and kids to cover himself to avoid being taken

He was shot in the eyes, no country would accept his body, so he was given a muslim burial in arabic by the trasnslators at sea

His coffin has GPS and satellie tracking and was sunk to the ocean bottom

Good ideas, 50yrs is a GOLDEN AGE, but is there anything shining in Nigeria where ordinary METRO LINE can not function , you go to offices daily on average of 2,3to 4hrs as we are travelling out of the country, we waste the money to take care of our families and ourselves on taking bike in other to meet up with time of office, we can not afford to sleep in our house for 4-5hours except those that have their businesses even those one can not even sleep comfortably. these are because no SECURITY to human life in all parameter in this country

My fellow Nairalanders, until there is total revolution in this country where the so call continuity will not be a permanent avenue for a sole family to be ruling this country totally for as long as they feel they are ok of arrogating the wealth of this country to themselves alone.

Ha haa haaa haaaa!!!!
Handshake to you,I dont understand how this is positive in any way? huh huh.50 naira is pretty much worthless, 50pounds can feed you for a week same as 50 dollars, from a country that produces 3 million barrels of crude oil a DAY.
Go ahead follow zimbabwe, which has a 10 million bill.

kabukabu i go advice you not to reason rationaly with tensor ooooo. my guy de london de enjoy and e no no which suffer you de talk about. small time ziga wey i'm sure suffer don make am mental go start miss-yearn too. these guys and a lot of nigerians have no clue about what is happening in the country. they'd rather not face the truth and drown their sorrow with beer and hope by morning things will get better. we have gone from a country with stories of robbery incidents to a country where a school bus filled with children have been kidnapped with a ransom of 20 million naira and these morons are celebrating. kai.
Very true,my guy.
Probably some of those pot bellied politicians have come here on nairaland,created profiles just to create a state of complacency among regular folks that everything is alright,while they set about their agenda of siphoning nigerian wealth into their Swiss bank accounts. grin grin

I 'll give you an opportunity to enumerate all the positives to celebrate, and also while you are at it, compare nigeria in the early 80's to nigeria in 2010. huh huh

As October 1 approaches, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY……………………

I have enormous tracts of land and vast volumes of water, but cannot feed myself.

So I spend $1 billion to import rice and another $2 billion on milk.

I produce rice, but don’t eat it. I have millions of cows but no milk.

I am 50, please celebrate me.

Whoever wrote this poem should run for President of Nigeria,I could care less for the crooks that are running and whatever crook who wins, if we all had the same attitude,we could not be suffering like this as a nation,but some turn a blind eye,get fat and keep the wheel of ignorance turning.If you make excuses for why we should celebrate 50 yrs then you are part of the problem.Freedom is not given it is taken,nigerians must stand up and say no,we are tired of promises,we want change now or you don't get votes,period.start in your local government all the way up to the federal level.

I drive the best cars in the world but have no roads,

so I crush my best brains in the caverns,

craters and crevasses they crash into daily.

I am in unending mourning,

please celebrate me.

My school has no teacher and my classroom has no roof.

I take lectures through windows and live with 15 others in one room.

All my professors have gone abroad, and the rest are awaiting visas.

I am a university graduate, but I am illiterate. I want a future,

please celebrate me.

Preventable diseases send me to hospitals without doctors, medicines or power.

All the nurses have gone abroad and the rest are waiting to go also.

I have the highest maternal and infant mortality rates in the world;

and future generations are dying before me. I am hopeless, hapless and helpless,

please celebrate me.

For democracy’s sake I stood all day on Election Day.

But before I could ink my thumb, results had been broadcast.

When I dared to speak out, silence was enthroned by bullets.

My leaders are my oppressors, and my policemen are my terrors.

I am ruled by men in mufti, but I am not a democracy.

I have no verve, no vote, no voice,

please celebrate me.

My youth have no past, present nor future.

So my sons in the North have become street urchins;

and his brothers in the South have become kidnappers.

My nephews die of thirst in the Sahara and his cousins drown in the Mediterranean.

My daughters walk the streets of Lagos , Abuja and Port Harcourt;

while her sisters parade the streets of Rome and Amsterdam .

I am grief-stricken,

please celebrate me.

Pen-wielding bandits have raided everything in my vaults.

They walk the land with haughty strides and fly the skies with private planes

They have looted the future of generations unborn;

and have money they cannot spend in several lifetimes,

but their brothers die of starvation. I want a kit of kindness,

please celebrate me.

I can produce anything, but import everything.

So my toothpick is made in China; my toothpaste is made in South Africa;

my salt is made in Ghana; my butter is made in Ireland;

my milk is made in Holland; my shoe is made in Italy;

my vegetable oil is made in Malaysia*** my biscuit is made in Indonesia;

my chocolate is made in Turkey and my table water made in France.

My taste is far-flung and foreign,

please celebrate me.

*** To think that Malaysia came to NIFOR in Edo State in the 70's to acquire the Palm Oil Technology

My land is dead because all the trees have been cut down;

flooding kills thousands yearly because the drainages are clogged;

my fishes are dead because the oil companies dump waste in my rivers;

my communities are vanishing into the huge yawns of gully erosion, and nothing is being done.

My very existence is uncertain and I am in the deepest depths of despondence,

please celebrate me.

I have genuine leather but choose to eat it.

So I spend billions of dollars to import fake leather.

I have four refineries, but prefer to import fuel,

so I waste more billions to import petrol. I have no security in my country,

but send troops to keep peace in another man’s land.

I have hundreds of dams, but no water.

So I drink ‘pure’ water that roils my innards.

I need a vision,

please celebrate me.

I have a million candidates craving to enter universities,

but my dungeons can only accommodate a tenth.

I have no power, but choose to flare gas,

so my people have learnt to see in the dark and stare at the glare of unclothed flares.

I am shrouded by darkness,

please celebrate me.

For my golden jubilee,

I shall spend 16 billion naira to bash around the bonfires of the banal.

So what if the majority gaze at my possessed, frenzied dance;

drenched in silent tears, as probity is enslaved in democracy’s empty cellars?

I am profligacy personified,

please celebrate me.

Why can I not simply reflect and ponder?

Does my complexion cloud the colour of my character?

Does my location limit the lengths my liberty?

Does the spirit of my conviction shackle my soul

Does my mien maim the mine of my mind?

And is failure worth celebrating?

I AM NIGERIAN, PLEASE CELEBRATE ME

Its called acting like a human being, ladej.
something a lot of nigerians have never quiet grasped, here in the west there are rules and regulations,in naija there are none , you could get harrassed/locked up and jailed for no reason.
