SportsRe: RIO 2016: Where American Basketball Team Will Stay VS The Athletes' Village. by kabukabu(m): 10:18pm On Aug 04, 2016
Nigeria is way past her glory days, Nigeria has enough talent to be developed to actively compete with USA in Basketball,Athletics,Tennis,Swimming, Gymnastics and all these other sports, but there is no support from the government or even private corporations.
Even now as I type, I was watching a soccer Olympic match where the American commentators were talking about how the Nigerian team is currently stuck in Atlanta airport just hours before their first match.
Sports used to be the saving grace of Nigeria we could beat our chest in public but sadly it's no longer.
With our population we should be in top 10 in the world in any sport that does not involve snow or ice.
Think about that, seriously.
SportsRe: Samson Siasia Robbed In Atlanta Hotel Car Park by kabukabu(m): 4:40pm On Jul 25, 2016
Atlanta and most major urban cities in the US are very much crime ridden. In certain areas I would dare say it's bad enough that people have iron bars welded on their windows after numerous burglaries.
I know that Nigeria does have reliable crime stats but for sure it's worse in the downtown areas of Atlanta, Chicago, New Orleans than Ajegunle.Ask any Nigerian they will tell you.
I had my car broken into 2 times, my home and have even witnessed multiple carjacking in person. It's really bad.

Number one is SANDALS, matter of fact 9 out of 10 grown men wearing leather sandals has to be Nigerian or African. grin grin
Pulling up their pants almost chest high, you know he is straight from Owerri grin

The women, easy, frown face grin.

Oh and soccer jerseys, grin.

But the number one thing for guys is "Ogo", a big head flat on top and somewhat elongated at the back, aka Idiagbon grin, you can tell it from miles away.

Mrs, Chima:
Oh my goodness! You guys are taking the women proposing thing kind of serious huh? shocked

I hate to see women actually proposing to you guys offline! shocked undecided
If Women now like to ride their guys "on top" and "go down" on them, I don't see why proposing to a man is different? grin
RomanceRe: Is It Ever Acceptable For A Woman To Propose To A Man! by kabukabu(m): 6:55pm On Oct 08, 2011
BABE!:
It's acceptable; so far she knows that proposing to her man mean she's asking for his hand in marriage<---Which implies that; she has to take the role of the man henceforth;

1) She's getting the ring (of course).

2) Her family and her are gonna be ones to visit the guy's family (for "introduction" and all).

3) She's paying the groom price.

3) The guy should walk down the aisle; "Here comes the groom, all dressed in black"; "You may kiss the groom".

4) Her husband is taking her last name. (optional).

5) Her husband and her kids are her "responsibilities".

E.t.c.
Wow
hold onto your horses lady grin, a woman proposing to her man doesn't automatically mean he is exempt from his male duties, perhaps he could be a tad undecided and just needed the extra ooomph from his lady.

Relax.
CrimeRe: Absu Gang violation: Victim Agreed To Be violated – Police by kabukabu(m): 5:27am On Oct 08, 2011
Princek12:
since you have admitted that you don't know whether she was lured, then sharap and quit assuming facts of which you have no knowledge. Also my reference to you having juju power was an irony meant at your apparent knowledge of so many facts just by your watching the video and without questioning either the alleged perpetrators or the victim.
And your facts are , huh

My bad, you have no facts either.Just "assuming" also, grin.

I do however have more faith in the victim than the crooked police force. And Im pretty sure many others too.

So do us a favor and get some hard cold evidence that the "victim" here engineered the whole thing or keep twidlling your thumbs till you get a clue. grin
CrimeRe: Absu Gang violation: Victim Agreed To Be violated – Police by kabukabu(m): 4:10am On Oct 08, 2011
Princek12:
If you are an intellectual, how did you know whether she was lured there? Difference between me and you is that I do not assume facts of which I have knowledge, as I leave it as a question.
You, on the other hand, have assumed so many facts by mere watching the video. I guess you use have juju power to know that she was lured in there. I do not do juju.
Neither do I, clown.

Lured doesn't mean "juju", cmon man.Could have been anything, friends,, who knows?

The fact is as usual the bone headed cops have no clue at all and to make their job easy they just wiped everything under the carpet and called it a day, and you and folks like you swallowed it all, hook ,line and sinker, grin

Unlike you, I dont personalize issues. Grow up and stop acting childish on the internet.

That said, how I wish you could say that to my face. . . I know, liver no go gree you.
The fact that you could rationalise this as some sort of trivial incident qualifies you to be an absolute block-headed goofball.I don't do goofballs cool

So if you like ram your thick skull into the wall for all I care. grin

Princek12:
Why am I not surprised that you have attacked me personally? Why can't Nigerians for God sake engage in intellectual discourse without raining abuses on the speaker?

Nowhere in the video is there clear evidence that she was forcibly held down while the intimate encounter happened. And how do you know those men are strangers? Now who is not applying common sense while reasoning. Check your bloody and fooolish head before you talk. If you cannot engage in a discussion with someone whose opinion differs from yours without abuse, then don't bother responding to me. If your okrika brain can tell from a video that was barely visible that the men in the video are strangers, then your brain must be made in Aba or Mainland China.
if you were an "intellectual", grin, then why ask"how did she make it to the room"huh

ever heard of someone being "lured" to someplace  huh

Half witted dingbat.

the fact that you may not have seen such women does not mean they do not exist. some women like that kind of stuff. Or do you think those kind of women don't exist?
Seriously, its like you don't apply common sense in your reasoning at all, few women like that kind of thing and if at all they do, not with 5 strangers, forcibly holding her down and taping it. grin

This is yet another case ignorant citizens like you being brainwashed into thinking that nigerian law enforcement is actually looking out for you. grin

what a shame, wake up and realise it could be your turn to be a victim next time

Its time to move on@OP, once a cheater always a cheater, too bad you have kids by him.Doesn't matter what he says,he will still creep on you grin

Its men like him that make all men look bad,and its been a swept under the rug issue in nigeria, male extra marital affairs are somehow seen as a sign of "masculinity" angry, while the same men want to hold women to a higher standard than themselves.what a shame.

I don't need to tell anybody that men are naturally polygamous.
That's is why islam has made it lawful to marry more than one but a max of 4, to take care of issues like this.
Carry your religous "who, ring" somewhere else coolMen are not naturally polygamous, the reason it was written that way for you folks is because those mullahs couldn't satisfy themselves with one woman.

Well, I come a part of this country that really has not baize for the tribe you choose from but has a lot of examples of those that have chosen outside their tribe wrongly, it consists of those that have been forced into negative beliefs "Juju", to those you have to bury their dead partners in their states of origin, with specific ritual rites performed, as a result their traditional believes, to those that have to perform specific rites before a union can be consummate d . To those that still practice cannibalism (the eastern part)" due respect to my brothers/sisters from that part", well I also know that outside the fact that women are fun loving in general, their are also some that have started idolizing partying and socialising and mostly men that marry into these tribes normal die quite young out of hypotension cause by these women, for example, if you go to abeokuta you would understand what I am talking about landladies rather then landlords and everyday remembrance ceremonies and engagements/weddings etc all these are the things that cause the issues of wanting to restrict ones self to if possible selecting a wife from the same village if possible my brothers/sisters from that part", well I also know that outside the fact that women are fun loving in general, their are also some that have started idolizing partying and socialising and mostly men that marry into these tribes normal die quite young out of hypotension cause by these women, for example, if you go to abeokuta you would understand what I am talking about landladies rather then landlords and everyday remembrance ceremonies and engagements/weddings etc all these are the things that cause the issues of wanting to restrict ones self to if possible selecting a wife from the same village if possible
^^^^^^^^ Here's one of the "tribalists" at it again. grin grin

Blame folks with these sort of racist attitudes as part of the problem .You simpletons "group think" yourselves into myths about other nigerians just because they don't speak your language or even come from the same town as you, very despicable.Ethnicity should be the last thing on your mind when choosing a partner.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria @ 51: Any Reason To Celebrate? by kabukabu(m): 4:54pm On Oct 01, 2011
absolutely nothing to celebrate. cool

1)Crushing unemployment.
2)zero class mobility
3)Total failure of the educational structure, which has to be addressed, ASUU and teacher union strikes.failing schools and low graduation rates.
4)Energy generation at less than 13% is horrendous even by 3rd world country standards, you can't be developed till you have uninterruptible power supply
5)Healthcare is out of reach of most and even the few facilities are suffering from obsolete and inadequate equipment, trained personnel.
6)Sports sector is a complete shadow of its former self, compared to 20 years ago, nigeria now has fewer training facilities which leaves hundreds of promising young athletes no choice but to quit or go overseas.
7)Only 3 or 4 of the governors are serious about getting the job done in their states.

The one thing nigeria leads in is building of new churches and mosques, period.

and how has that worked so far, yall tell me. grin

My brother, illiteracy is high even in the south

Just because southerners can speak broken english does not make them educated

education is not about english.

Infact the North is one of the most educated region in West africa. Saudi arabia don't understand english but are very educated.

Illiteracy is everywhere in Nigeria.

Bombing is was even started by southerners not northerners. It is a terrible thing

we need to hold hands and unite to fight all this Boko haram and Mend

we are one Nation and should act as such
hold up, do they take JAMB in Hausa?

or fulani??

We are talking about education here not Q'uranic schools.Sir.

The less educated the populace are anywhere the more likey they resort to blind acts of violence.

another problem is social barricades to education, how come illiteracy is still so high in the North vs the South.
Address that, how can you get youths up there educated so they don't have to rely on terror groups and bombings to vent their frustrations on innocent citizens who are just trying to make a living in their soceities huh
RomanceRe: What Is Behind Late Marriages For Ladies ? by kabukabu(m): 8:49pm On Sep 24, 2011
IfeLuvely:
I reckon men are behind this 'getting married late' as the OP says, most men nowadays are like i wanna have a car, a mansion and the whole wide world before getting married and they expect women to wait for them endlessly. For example, look at all the I want to get married, but is 100k per month enuff to run a family posts, mscheew, angry. As i clearly remember Rome was not built in a day and in cases of our parents, many of them married young and had nothing when they got married, but as time progresses, they increased financially etc, I can imagine if my parents said he wanted all the wealth of this life before getting married, would i have existed, but I thank God for my parents life today, God has really blessed them,
and what if your parents did not "increase financialy"huhhuh like many thousands of poor families in Nigeria, you would have been recycling bottles and aluminum scraps, or hawking groundnuts in the local market grin grin

Let us hear word, typical backward mentality, little wonder so many starving children everywhere because of attitudes like yours grin
RomanceRe: What Is Behind Late Marriages For Ladies ? by kabukabu(m): 8:16pm On Sep 24, 2011
Like I said previously this is a blockheaded thread, the OP lives overseas and is complaining about "late marriages",blaming it on "women ", He has not a single clue of how much financially it takes to marry and start a family, not to mention that unemployment in Nigeria is hovering at about 35-40 percent, at least I out of every 6 able bodied people are out of work, the OP needs an attitude adjustment, and he needs to punch out his pastor grin grin grin grin grin grin
