To God - EVERYTHING !

My father who forced me to go to one of the best primary / secondary schools in Lagos even though it was hours from my house and I was always tired everyday.

My mother who carried the education financial burden for years and paid all that money for Unilag's Diploma against the advice of many.

My cousin always encouraging me.

A Nairaland user on here - Sagamite - who has given me so much sound postgraduate and carrer advice which has benefited me immensely  grin

you are right.
he can omit the apology letter bit if he decides to. its not an apology letter per se. all he has to do is state in the section of 'personal statement' that he was refused based on inconsistent passport and that it was a travel agent that handled the application for him. he should state that he was misled by the travel/tour agent cos he was naive then.

i know someone that faced similar prob as the poster. he applied with his real age, etc and he was refused (based on the excuse of source of funds), no reference was made to his initial fraudulent application. he reapplied again providing more documents to support the source of his finances and he was eventually given the visa.
This person had exact same issues I had years back

@ OP another phrase you can use is "Passport Irregularities" or something of the sort.

I prefer Season 6, were BIG follows her to Paris, but she is running from the hotel and misses bumping into him a few times, and then she finally runs into him and bursts into tears.
I've never hated a TV character as much as I hated BIG, up till now when I watch reruns I skip Season 1 when she was so needy and BIG was such a jerk.
TV/MoviesRe: Top Ten Movies That Make You Cry by kadman(m): 8:16pm On Jul 04, 2010
Pursuit of Happiness (The scene where they slept in the train station toilet) had me crying for days when I thought of it.

The Way We Were (At the very end where Babara Streiend tells him "your bride is beautiful" then they play the theme song made me cry for a min.

Sex and the City (Season 4 an episode where Carrie falls on the run way then gets up and talks about picking yourself up when life pushes you down and all) makes me cry everytime I see re runs of it.

Grey's Anatomy (When the show was still good so many episodes when kids and pairs of couples died made me cry) now the show has gone to the dogs make me wonder why the hell I wasted my tears back then.

Les Miserables (The Live Show) When they sing I Dreamed A Dream ! : Need I say more.
TravelRe: I Missed It Before by kadman(m): 10:19am On Jul 04, 2010
Funkybaby is very right. Go with option 2. I had the a case similar with yours ( I don't want to go into details). In the application box just say you were refused for "inconsistent passport" or find another phrase, you don't want to be throwing the word fraud around. I'm also not sure about you writing an apology letter drawing attention to the age lies. . Most times these people weigh new application on it's on merit. But as what funkybaby thinks ?

TravelRe: I Need Advise To Complete A Uk Visit Visa by kadman(m): 12:38am On Jun 17, 2010
Yorubah, choose one hotel booking OR Iv, you CANNOT do both weigh the pros and cons of each of them, if your family can give you all the documents you will need, and is you're sure they are in good position over here, then that's fine.

You useless person!
You are going to visit one of the most vibrant cities in the world with thousands of types of food to try.
All you want is Nigerian food.
You big mumu stay at home and eat snails & catfish.
Very uncalled for ! But playing the Devil's advocate. . I can understand this poster, Nigerians never wanting to try anything new can be frustrating smiley

whatever you do, dont use company statement of account, cos it just might backfire! use your personal statement. i guess dats the major clause. also, if you want your application processed fastest, get a hotel booking to avoid all the hassles of confirming the status of your inlaw. best of luck
This is good advice, but will backfire unless he has solid money in account and plenty ties to Nigeria,
PhonesRe: Nokia N97 Versus Black Berry Storm 2 by kadman(m): 4:43pm On Jun 10, 2010
I use both phones, and have to tell you N97 is the shizz ! Really good phone, the only thing BB is good for isthe messenger, and to do "yanga", . I got it because of peer pressure and to keep us with friends in Niaja.
Having said that, you have to have constant internet to enjoy your N97, the phone just has everything in it.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Important Is Masters Grade by kadman(m): 12:14pm On Jun 02, 2010
The posters said Masters Grade not degree.

Poster, it's a 50 - 50 thing, for example I hope to do an MBA at a top American school after the Master's i'm currently doing, so I'm hoping the grade (a distinction) would be in my favour, but if you're going to work after. . it's not very important, until about 5 years ago there wasn't even master's grade. it was either you passed or failed.

Mubz:
You ve not gotten the job, u are worried about the pay package, NAIJA PEEPS, Hmmm, na wa ooo,
Don't be silly my friend. Won't the man know the benefits of what he is getting into before pursuing it.

An important reason for knowing how much the salary offered is :
THAT IS ONE OF THE INTERVIEW PROCESS ITSELF. A company wants to know you did research on them, and their pay package is part of this. Also companies want to know you don't under value or over value yourself. The fact that no one on this thread has menthoned this shows most nairalanders are have baked jealous folks who will never have a professional career. Too bad.

CHAIRMAN, you need to google the postition for P&G, you will probably get response for their pay package in America, but you can do a conversion and it will give you basic idea, that's what I do.

@chairman,good luck ok. Am proud of your hard work. You can shout it out to the world.BTW, People that studied in reputable schools in UK don't brag abt their qualifications.Companies like P&G come for them, Just like what am doing in my free school in Sweden, they actually came for me and a whole lot of other Naija Chaps that are doing big things here.I really wish you well, but sofry sofry with your superiority complex.
So the poster has superiority complex, but you don't ? What big things are you doing ? You're comparing your free low rent degree to a UK degree. You're just a mad dog.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Much Does Procter And Gamble Pay Msc Holders by kadman(m): 3:47pm On May 18, 2010
CHAIRMAN

I also got invited for the P&G interview with Careers in Africa on the 28th and will go, but the truth is if the salary they are offering isn't much I'm not ready to relocate anywhere for peanuts. I know what they are paying counterparts in UK.

At the person who said the Msc isn't worth jack, that's your own business, and own Msc. I know the worth of mine.

They have said repeatedly that thwy would keep the Point Based System, so no problem with that, as Funky said they might clap down on colleges and have tougher rules for colleges to get sponsorship permit. The worse they can do is scrap Tier 1. .  and that's their doom everyone to divert to the other countries - maybe it's even good sef allow students to examine other opportunities.
